Hi Ashley as an interior designer myself definitely I would prioritize comfort in my office knowing that spend half of my life on a desk making floor plans, 3d rendering, ordering furniture and calling contractors so definitely an ergonomic office would be best otherwise I can already see myself booking a massage for the back pain. I feel like interior design is just glamours on tv the amount of work behind the scenes is something else and these days we do prioritize comfort, functionality and aesthetic but other than that I like the build.
Truthhhhh I’m an interior designer too. And the amount of times I get asked what I actually do and explain it they go “I had no idea” I actually rarely get to do furniture. Also a note Ashley - interior decorators are different from interior designers. Interior designers go to school and get a degree in it. And many of us go on to get certified - which decorators don’t do.
What about a house based on a real life fuenral dirctor/motician's salery since we got those with the Undertaker career. Also lilsimsie has a tutorial on how to make the attic space funtional.
1 window looks so much better! Also as someone who’s worked in interior design.. it wouldn’t be surprising if you ran out of money/went over budget for this build because that’s normal for a designer haha
I actually have some insight on the whole staging thing. I work as an office admin at a real estate agency and we have our own in house staging. And yes most importantly, it’s ugly. It’s a big black box. If we’re staging a property that usually means it’s unoccupied. Which means there’s no one paying for internet or cable. So the photos would literally just have a big black rectangle. Logistically, tvs are heavier, harder to move, more delicate and harder to store. We have a large storage unit for our staging but it’s not heated. We’re in the Midwest so it gets cold. TVs can’t be in freezing temperatures. The lcd crystals will literally freeze and that breaks the screen. Paintings and mirrors are so much better looks wise and logistically.
IRL Interior Designer here lol. I personally go against almost every single "design stereotype" said here but I really enjoyed this build. It's interesting to see what the society perceives as "trendy design" versus what we study as design trends.
as someone who regularly rewatches your alphabet and number challenge videos, here’s a fun challenge: do the alphabet challenge again but this time with SMALL LETTERS and obviously different themes!!! sounds fun, no?
I would love to see you do a build for the stylist career and for the social media career. Those are tough ones to find on the gallery! Love what you do, Ashley.🩷🩷
My favorite Sims 4 era was right around the time Werewolves was getting released. All the mystique around the lore and the leaks we were getting got me soooooooo excited! There’s nothing that really compares to that feeling, y’know?
I just upgraded my coffee machine too! Found an amazing Black Friday deal for an espresso machine (only had a drip coffee maker before) and am exciting to start learning to make more types of drinks. I LOVE that cozy bistro couch, somehow I completely missed that and haven’t used it once yet! The coffee maker that came with it in the other hand I’m OBSESSED with and keep adding to almost every build. It would be cool if they would come out with some new espresso machine designs (maybe an all in one so it doesn’t take TWO counter spots!), new espresso recipes, and new tea kettles too. I feel they really should have added a new functional tea set back in snowy escape. I’m so excited about the hot chocolate drink platter in the new update tho especially love that you can make a few different kinds.
As an interior designer, most of your assumptions made me laugh 😂 It’s really funny to see what HGTV molds the wrong perception of the profession. Great sims build, but as a real life home, there is a lot of waisted space. Function over form ALWAYS. And only one thing that REALLY bothered me was the amount of windows on the suite bathroom, could have saved some simoleons and created a more “functional” space. Always enjoy your builds though, just had to say something just cause it’s what I do 🤣
"I love a good kislux because it helps me decide if I want to buy the real thing or NOT." That part right there. That's IT. I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL! I'm easily convinced to buy things I don't wear or use. They'll literally have the tags and I'll even forget I bought something and have 2 or 3 of them in my closet.) Love this video!
OMG! You need to absolutely keep it! Whether it's true or not, this is special to you. People create packages, packages do not create people. Rock it girl, salute kislux !
I have been checking your channel everyday for another one of these videos for this challenge LOL !! Absolutely love this series. I love how creative you get with this challenge. I think the next career I want to see is… an Astronaut or a Secret Agent lol
when i first discovered these series i fell in love. i wait every week for a new video of this series!! i would like for you to do a anesthesiologist to carry along in this series! i know they make a lot so might not be appropriate!
I really love this build! It was all so interesting what you did with the kitchen and the backyard. I love that you make a story, AS you're building the has. It just gives it all a touch of character.
Not to be nitpicky, it's more a me thing... I feeel like... Maybe I am so wrong but If I were to build an interior designer house. I would probably be thinking of tubes and electric plugs. And obsesively thinking of the house orientation, light source, and fundation walls. But that's just the silly things I think of when I build😂
How about doing the police officer career? I'm taking interior design, and i swear you could be one, just with your builds alone. You already have a good sense of the vocabulary that's used in what I've read so far. You've inspired me to expand on my own builds, i am NO where newr as talented as you, but I've been trying the cheats that you have used. Love your channel, and your builds! I may be biased being a fellow Canadian, but you're awesome!
Honestly, all I remember is people hating on kits. I don’t remember it as being a positive time, more like a negative time. No shade but there wasn’t anything positive about that time in the Sims community😭 it was just such a toxic time for me. But your content makes my time in the Sims community a positive experience.
Love this series , I’m getting into sims building on ps5 you talked me into getting packs lol i got a couple for Black Friday I’ll get more around Christmas :) thx you Ashely for these vids..
I'd love to see a build for the style influencer career! it's so underrated and one of my favorites in the game. i imagine a huge walk-in closet and very trendy cute furniture
I’m loving this series! I think a freelance photographer home would be fun. You could include a home studio, and the budget might be kinda small which would be a fun challenge 😅
My coffee machine upgrade this year happened because my Keurig 2.0 broke 😂 I “upgraded” to a Keurig K-Duo. Not that I needed a carafe because I’m so used to just doing single-serve 24 oz cups… but hey, the carafe itself made me happy 😝 As for being addicted to coffee… I don’t think I’m addicted. Caffeine doesn’t really do anything for me. However, my diet is very specific and I can’t have tea or hot chocolate or anything other than coffee without sugar or broth when it comes to hot drinks, and so it has become my little comfort/treat every day, especially now that the weather is colder. So I guess in a way I depend on it, but only so I’m not just drinking water 24/7 and have a hot, comforting option.
Yes, thank you for noticing! 🥰 I decided I didn’t want to be blonde anymore and I want my natural hair colour back :) it will take some time because the dark dye always fades but slowly but surely I will be dark permanently!
Hi DR Ashley I love this series, I’ve been looking forward to it coming back so I’m so happy you are back - love ❤your builds but I can’t find these builds on the gallery to download, are you not sharing them anymore??? Thanks 😊
Ok. So I just went to good ol chat gpt, and it told me that there are *35* careers in total.😳 soooooo this is gonna be one crazy long series lolll You can fill up literally 2 whole Newcrests with that!😂 (Which would actually be like reaaaaally cool tho) So I hope you made a new save for this series, is all I’m saying, bc that’s a looooot of builds and lots!
Beautiful build and great concept for a series! Thanks for posting. What do you think about doing a build for the actor profession? A very successful actor so very fancy build.
Just a note - interior decorators are not interior designers. We are different. Interior designers go to university for a degree in interior design. We deal with code and are doing interior architecture. It’s not just the pretty stuff. As interior designers we also often go get a national certification which takes 3 intense exams. Interior decorators do not. Some interior designers, me, are a bit insulted when called interior decorators since decorators don’t build construction documents or have to think intensely about code. And didn’t do 4 years of school and didn’t go on for their certification.
TBH, the placement of the framed TV annoyed me so much and seeing you struggle with the budget at the end while knowing the tv was expensive, bothered me so much. But it turned out so beautiful and I wanted to live in it…but definitely not placing the tv and couches like that 😂
Love your builds so much. Could you please put this build, the one for the author and the one for a painter on the gallery? The gallery must be broken because your build are organized so out of order. In order of what I see in your catalogue on the gallery: 1. Tartosa Wedding Villas (video 8 month ago) 2. Teacher’s House (video 2 month ago) 3. Veterinarian’s Home (video 2 month ago). 4. Singles Only apartment (video 3 month ago) 5. Chef’s House (video 2 month ago) 6. Town Square Dorms (video 4 month ago) Could you also put one build with all the numbers build challenge and the alphabet shells from U to Z?
what is everyone getting for black friday? btw ty for watching ILY ❤
laptop, so excited
a pc so i can finally play the sims without lag lol
Every sims pack!
I decided to get into the next hobby I will probably give up in like two weeks… acrylic painting
My partner bought me life and death as an early Christmas present 🥰
A conservationist/marine biologist built in Sulani would be so cool!! 🐋🐠🤿
Yes I love this idea!
Yes, any kind of environmental career would be so cool!

OOFFF not me thinking of becoming an interior designer and seeing your comment I am like: Yeaaah... not for me. I have far too much respect
I can't believe adding mowing lines actually fixed the yard 😆The lawns always look like that in the expensive neighborhoods around here. Great build!
Never in my entire sims career have I thought to mow the lawn. Consider my mind blown lol 😂
IT WAS GENIUS. I was thinking of using the trick but like giving pizzaz as if making the route of the person mowning the lawn.
What about a house based on a real life fuenral dirctor/motician's salery since we got those with the Undertaker career. Also lilsimsie has a tutorial on how to make the attic space funtional.

Also.. hi I’m a coffee addict 🙋🏻♀️ not much makes me happier than a good cup of coffee
YEP!!! Absolutely hahahaa it's so trueee
Love this series! I'd love to see a build for the conservationist - marine biologist career. I'm picturing an eco conscious sulani build. ❤
🎉🎉🎉
I've been waiting forever for this episode! Hoping for a criminal career home next 😄
I don't think Google would know the average salary for that career 😂😂

i really hope for astronaut career, maybe scientist futuristic build?
Maybe for Christmas you could do a baker? In Germany there is a little kid's Christmas song called "In the Christmas bakery"
yes thats a great Idea
IRL Interior Designer here lol. I personally go against almost every single "design stereotype" said here but I really enjoyed this build. It's interesting to see what the society perceives as "trendy design" versus what we study as design trends.
It’s the Media Interior Designer Style ie HGTV
as someone who regularly rewatches your alphabet and number challenge videos, here’s a fun challenge: do the alphabet challenge again but this time with SMALL LETTERS and obviously different themes!!! sounds fun, no?

The grass in the backyard was SUCH a move. I think it was brilliant

2 windows was so good😭

Yes! This is my favorite series you have done so far.
do mechanic!!! i feel like it would be such a great industrial built❤❤
I really love this build! It was all so interesting what you did with the kitchen and the backyard. I love that you make a story, AS you're building the has. It just gives it all a touch of character.
11:55 For me it’s definitely Snowy Escape and City Living came out. And I’m still obsessed with them to this day😂
Snowy escape is the best 😭

That grass trick was SMART🤌🏻
I am loving this new series, but I really miss your rental lot in every World Series!! Is that coming back?

The grass coloring does make it look freshly mowed but it also makes it look like the green hill zone from sonic lol
my favorite sims 4 era was when snowy escape came out... I loooooove that pack!
Ooo...Country Kitchen being favorited over the Home Chef Hustle kitchen is... very brave. 😂
No, but seriously. They're both really good.
Definitely agree with you about coffee; the addiction and quality at home setup
You are EXTREMELY talented😢❤❤❤❤❤
I love this series so much! This house is gorgeous 😊
I love your builds! This is a great series!
The way you say "roofing" is so cute ☺
Should do the salary of a chef and try and do a home for that!
This is so pretty and Studio Mcgee-ish design which I LOVE! I would definitely download this 💖
Finally she’s back!!!!
yesss been waiting, love your builds❤
the backyard being a little bare works for the story!! every designer should have a WIP around the house haha
this is my favorite so far! basically my dream home😍
I love this build style so much
I love the egg and pancake paintings. I want them in real life, lol :) ;)
Did you change your hair color? It looks incredible and suits you! ❤ if not, your hair still looks incredible and I'm a goof 😅🦋
Yes, thank you for noticing! 🥰 I decided I didn’t want to be blonde anymore and I want my natural hair colour back :) it will take some time because the dark dye always fades but slowly but surely I will be dark permanently!
You should do the “part time” careers as well. Like the fast food career.

Sad we missed out on the patio backyard fantasy :(
But oh well, good challenge!

Sorry not a suggestion but OMG!!! 😮😮 your hair looks amazing!!!!! 😊❤ I absolutely love it!
It makes me laugh how pretty the backyard looked after you did that line to make it look manicured and freshly mowed. 😂
i liked 2 windows, but im not trendy 😅 glad to see you back, and i cant wait to see your next build ❤
hi! i think mortician would be an interesting career to build around🖤
Omg!! So glad to see this!
That upstairs window moment: take two of the ones from the 1st story as a dual-one-moment :)
Ok. So I just went to good ol chat gpt, and it told me that there are *35* careers in total.😳 soooooo this is gonna be one crazy long series lolll

The 2 windows in the front looked the best.
i can’t wait to watch this on my flight home tomorrow ❤️🙏🙏
Would love to see an average gamer influencer or just influencer salary build. Basically in your style.
It’s almost 7 at night, and I’m about to fix myself a coffee. So, no judgement on the coffee addiction. 😂
Great video! The next build could be of the Mortician career
Hey Ashley ☺️ great build as always! Can we try doctor next? 🤗
Hey just wondering, why don’t you use debug landscape? It helps a lot with the budget!
14:10 - well it's 6:20pm for me and I'm currently drinking coffee while watching so... ☕
Beautiful build and great concept for a series! Thanks for posting. What do you think about doing a build for the actor profession? A very successful actor so very fancy build.
