I've had a fig tree in a container against a south west facing wall for 2 years and it's hardly produced an inch of growth let alone any figs 😢

My advice, try moving it to an area that is exposed to 6-8 hours of sunlight every day.

Saya sungguh penasaran dan tidak menyangka jenisnya sangatlah banyak sekali, dimana ditempat saya tinggal bahkan tanaman ini masih sangat sangat asing dan kebanyakan orang disekitar rumah saya yang melihat tanaman tin tumbuh didepan rumah saya yang saya tanam 2 tahun lalu setinggi hanya 1 meter kurang karena saya selalu memotong tunas vertikalnya, banyak dari mereka yang lewat dan melihatnya mengatakan " pohon terongnya bagus" dan saya hanya bisa tersenyum kecil mendengar mereka mengatakan itu haha...padahal tanaman ini sungguh bisa hidup begitu subur dengan cuaca yang sangat panas sepanjang hari dinegara saya dan mungkin cuma saya yang menanam pohon tin ini didepan rumah dalam jangkauan luas 1 kota...saya ingin mencari yang jenis lain karena itu saya butuh informasi lebih tentang 400 jenis tanaman ini 🙏

A fig tree bears fruit 2 to 3 years after planting. An immature tree may produce fruit that never ripens. Some fig varieties produce fruit twice a year.

Figs can even do it first year. It depends on how the plant came to be. A plant from seed will definitely not produce fruit in a year. BUT a plant from a big cutting can definitely put on many feet of growth and if you’re lucky produce fruit first year (I’m talking specifically about figs).

​​@@firstname7769 can concur with that... acquired a foot long magnolia fig cutting in may last year ....planted it in a small container(empty paint bucket) harvested about 12 tasty figs in october. As soon as the last ripened fig was harvested I noticed it was putting out new fruits, but since I wanted some cuttings I left one small branch with 2 new fruit buds and harvested the other branches for more cuttings. Now I have 6 extra fig saplings, I also harvested the 2 figs I left on the one branch last week...very tasty. I must note that I am in India and in my area we get very mild winters so we basically have very extended almost year round growing season.
