i had no idea i had to initialize the drive too!... i started freaking out thinking all my money spent was a waste... This video helped a lot. Thank you so much Wasay!
I hv 500 gb PCIe (may be SATA) internal SSD from old, not working, Macbook Pro 15 16 gb inch ratina. How can I use it as external drive with mac mini m2? thanks
My laptop blue screened so I pulled the m.2 out of it and stuck it in the enclosure and when I plug it in my pc to get everything off the m.2 it’s showing nothing there.. why?
Do I need to format it when I plug this into some another person's system? If yes then what is point of using it ? Then it is only a storage device we cant share anything.
does this mean an existing nvme ssd stick already been used on the motherboard would have to be intialized before usb use ? hence erasing it's existing files ?
Hi i have one question.. when i connect my enclosure to computer it shows only 475 gb available where as when connected to mobile it shows 511 gb and disk size is 512 g....is there anything I could do
Usually it shouldn't be kept as full. That's why it's showing 475gb on your PC, which actually is smarter than your mobile phone. So it's to protect the SSD and never keep it full. It will reduce the life of SSD significantly.
I did this casing with my m2 nvme ssd, I want to use it to transfer my files from my iphone 15 to this ssd directly via type c cable. The ssd is not showing up on my iphone on the files app. PLS help !!!
Brother can we once again use nvme ssd as internal if we want to use it for installing windows in it.... Because currently I have wd nvme m.2 ssd 500gb .... But i don't have nvme slot in my laptop... Plzzz help 🙏🙏
When you buy your laptop it will come with anSSD. Why not just clone / ghost the new SSD to your 500GB SSD? Good chance that your new SSD will be 500GB or larger: no reason to ghost /clone.

The Western Digital SN770 NVMe seems not to work well with the RLT9210 chipset.

Good video. How do u get faster speeds?
Faster case, ssd, and faster port on pc/laptop
I get the exactly same speeds when installed the ssd on a ryzen 3200u asus laptop which runs at Nvme 3.0 x2 is there something wrong with this ssd?
No matter which ssd u use, d case or enclosure limits d speed, 1GBPS is d maximum speed in dees cases(thereoticaly)
I rarely comment on videos. I think He's a good teacher lol

You have to take out the brand sticker first, before putting the thermal pad
10 gigabits/sec is equal to around 10240 mb/s not 1220 mb/s bro :)
1 byte = 8 bits so he is right
Usually the difference between bits and bytes is the capital b so 8Gb=1GB and 10240Mb~=1220MB
