- The first Google Pixel Buds hit the scene in 2017, and whether it was their strange fabric case or their convoluted wire-wrapping scheme ... they never really took off. So when Google announced that the 2020 edition of its Pixel Buds would be true wireless earbuds, built with the most robust Google Assistant integration available and shipping in a charging case even more satisfying to the touch than to the eye, my interest was piqued. Now, after spending four days with the new Pixel Buds paired with my Pixel 4, I'm happy to report that they're a delightful combination of aesthetics, features, and just plain fun. Same cost, half battery life (10h vs 5h) and only feature better than Buds+ is better Google assistant integration. I'm happy with my Buds+ over these for sure...

Yeah I have buds plus but was also curious about this , given the higher price tag i hope for better battery and sound to be honest . You have things like the buds plus. Jabra 75t , anker 2 pros , all of those sound excellent, have crazy good battery or some stand out feature deep voice assistance integration is not worth 30 bucks over the competition

The speed you put the buds into the case towards the end of the review was ridiculous they go in so easy you made a meal of it
So no audio pass through either? No ANC is ok at this price, but I'd really like to be able to coverse with people stiil with these in like I can with my old Zolo Liberty+ buds for almost half as much.

It's not irrational to not want to be seen with airpods, I haven't seen a single person who didn't look like an idiot with them, in my opinion.
The mi/redmi Airdots don't look that bad in my opinion, they're really small too
I think this is a kind of market well crowded, but which haven't achieved the goal point of getting an extremely well made earbuds for less than 80 bucks.

I have the galaxy Buds 1st and 2nd generation. I absolutely love the look of these better . I didn't think Buds can have this nice of a modern look. I'm seriously tempted to get these.

Had these for over a year now and use them religiously every day.
- Incredible sound quality
- strong metal case
- Solid battery life
- really comfy & no chance of falling out while jogging
- Google assistant built in
- after a year of heavy use, havn't noticed any battery faid
Purchased new on special for $170 (Australian dollars).
The my down side is the micro USB, not Type-C, which is what the recent update fixed (WF-1000M3)

I might be wrong about that , but i think if a pair of earbuds is capable of recieveing the sound of your voice traveling through air from your mouth to the device, it should also recieve the sound through your body regardless if it has a sophisticated sensor that detects your jaw movement or not. I d be interested to know if a chip pair would also work when you are using the mask. I m sure the sound quality wouldnt be as good compared to the pixel buds but in that case i think the sound quality should be the same with or without a mask.

I also don't personally like any of apple's airpods, don't get me wrong I hear they're good, but just seeing people walking with them on, as if you were wearing underwear or something and not using them and we know sommmmmme of these user aren't using them, but just to make a mental statement....Anyway, I like these new Google ones, they seem discreet like the Samsung Galaxy Ear Buds, which yeah, that's how I'm listening to this video too. 👍

I had the AirPods 1 (2nd Generation) then tried a pair of Pixel Buds and let me tell you I much preferred the pixel buds! The bass alone was a selling point for me
