Got my coffee table book. I have to say it's way better than I expected! very well designed and I love the pics and descriptions.
Awesome, great to hear it!
@@MissionaryBushPilotI ordered another today to give to a family member.
â@@ChiliStyles That glass cock pit is on another level
@@MissionaryBushPilotyou should visit Thailand also by flying there. Southeast Asia is just paradise ð
â@@MissionaryBushPilot DOESN'T It Get A Bit LONELY In AN AIRCRAFT On YOUR OWN With ONLY The RADIO CHATTER For Company AND As A Pilot HOW Do YOU COPE With THIS ? ? ?
Guys like this make the world function as we know it. Our electricians, plumbers, pilots, engineers... deserve so much more appreciation.
Everybody who has a job makes the world function
@@wzupppp Yea, I'm not belittling other jobs. Just, like mine, have a much less direct effect. The guy flipping burgers won't be as missed as the guy providing our water supply.
I hear what you're saying but coming from a psychotherapist's point of view as I am, you've just invalidated millions of people worldwide... think about this, when covid hit people were weren't even flying during covid... again, I do get that you value some professions, but like @wzupppp says, EVERYONE plays a part. Please don't take that away from anyone ðð
@@brjones27 the guy flipping burgers might be feeding an entire family with that money and raise kids who grow up to be engineers and scientists.
Thanks!
Thank you so much forcyour sacrifice for the people of Papua New Guinea ðĩðŽ. As a mother of a pilot, I pray everyday for him for the risks you all take. I am committing you too in my prayers for your great sacrifice for our people here. May God bless you.
Thank you for your prayers
Wow that was impressive
You are a great pilot...I am in awe of your ability to operate in those mountains and that weather!!
Loved this one: Has to be one of the best demonstrations of dynamic weather and terrain assessment, plus the discipline to stick to safe operating procedures. I didn't think I had enough time to watch the whole video first time round, but I couldn't stop watching.
Navigating around the peaks and thru the valleys and landing on a mountainside. Wow. What a special skill. What a blessing to all you serve!
I found myself holding my breath as you did several go arounds. Glad you made it down safely. Still can't believe you can land a plane in the mountains the way you do with constantly changing weather conditions. Huge ballz :)
Great flight. Part of excellent skill is great judgment. You certainly have both. Glad you made it safely to your destinations. ð
Man, that was a great demonstration of making sure all your checks get done even when single pilot and under a lot of pressure from lots of directions. Very disciplined flying. Well done. Loads of useful CRM stuff going on in a very useful way.
Thanks for the time and effort you put into these. Ex heli pilot, now I watch these to calm myself and wistfully remember the fun I had. You will have an incredible treasure trove to look back at one day and have the biggest grin in the nursing home! Well done.
Man, this is one of my new favorite channels. It feels like Iâm there in the cockpit with you. Keep âem coming! And nice job on some very challenging flying.
Now this is real flying. Thx Ryan it's a real privilege to join you.
Another great and taxing flight Ryan. Keep safe. We love your videos.
You have excellent piloting skills. Even with your backup plans, which luckily you didn't need. Always good to have equal number of Takeoffs to Landings. âĪ
What a great view from an early morning start. Itâs true what you say every day is different.
Great judgement and flying skills.
Bush pilots have balls of steel and skills to match. They are the adrenaline junkies of flight.
So awesome to see how you navigate aviate & communicate
Thank you for sharing your journey with us
I've got 3800 Hrs. in my beautiful 172 SH. and I still work to gain your skill and relaxed approach to even the most difficult situations. I don't think a lot of folks understand the depth and even danger you navigate on a regular basis because you make it look so simple.
As a 15 year old from the Lake District who is currently taking flying lessons right now from my local airport, these videos are very helpful for me and always never fail to educate me. Awesome vids man keep up the great work!
15?!? Why so late?
Iâm 8, and taking flying lessons out in the Lake District.
Go land at Troutbeck, that's a fun wild airfield!
Well done on showing your decision making, and always being safe
Ryan,
1st light departures brings back memories of HAGEN days (36 years ago).plan A /plan B always goes with Rivers , Valleys, Mountains, Roads & the odd tree . Sounds like you had an exciting day. Another great video & as you know P.N.G has lot's of unpredictable weather. Thanks for the ride &stay safe. ð
Amazing flight. Incredible destination. So beautiful.
Merry Christmas to you and your family from Minnesota USA!! Thanks for adding joy to our 2023!!
I LOVE WATCHING THE SKILLS OF A GOOD PILOT ! ! !
Sigo su pÃĄgina hace poco ! Me encanta lo cuidadoso que eres escribiendo todo ! Felicidades veo que de verdad amas lo que haces servir a otros
That was intense! Loved every minute of this.
I sometimes imagine an old time WWII fighter pilot suddenly appearing in your cockpit, in the right seat looking eyes wide towards all of those color screens.
Imagine further, you suddenly finding yourself in a P-40. What enormous progress we have made. At least we still have pilots up front, for the time being.
Always will have human pilots ask the fly by wire pilots like Airbus a380 lol ðĪĢ
I figure that even if we get fully automatic passenger planes/drones the craft servicing these types of areas will be the ones manned the longest.
or you know, an original caravan, the 80's version didn't have no gps or screens
Those guys (WWII pilots) must have had balls of iron. No satellite weather maps, ATC flight service, or GPS to navigate around the mountains and the tricky weather. They had to rely on pilotage and dead reckoning using inaccurate paper maps. To get home, Port Moresby or Rabaul might have had low frequency radio range equipment if the ground station didn't get bombed or the aircraft radio happened to work. And of course, somebody could be shooting at you while you are trying to deal with all of this.
Ryan, I don't think you've ever looked so drained as you seem in this video...take care of your health, mate! Great instincts and intuition based on all those hours you've flown in what must be the most challenging environment in the world. I hope your family and you enjoyed a well earned rest today, Christmas Day. God bless.
Yeah, getting at at 4am really took a toll on me that morning
@@MissionaryBushPilot That's the reason for the F in IMSAFE, right? Great video, thanks. I'm from PNG and it still amazes me how places like Yawan are only a few minutes by air from a major airport like Nadzab, but it would take days of walking. My favorite part of the whole video was the timelapse at the end, when you crossed the Ramu valley in about 3 seconds, went back into clouds, and then broke out of the clouds really low over the Bena Gap (or whatever gap that was)
That flight was like a mystery novel you didnât know what was going to happen next. Wishing you and your wife a Merry Christmas and a safe and cheerful start to 2024. âïļðð
Absolutely incredible. I watched this video on the edge of my seat. Fantastic. Thank-you
beautiful..thanks for sharing and uploading..excellent narration...
You've shown us some beautiful places in PNG..I really enjoyed watching that dawn takeoff in this video. Cool beans!
Nice! The sacrifices made for building material. I was on the edge of my seat, for sure!
GREAT flight Captain. Those Kodiak's are the perfect plane for your missions! !! !!!
Lot of work goes in these videos. Appreciated.
Wow, just Wow. Fabulous airmanship! Thank you for sharing!
Truth is that I have not really any grasp of just what a high degree of accomplishment I'm watching. I suspect that even other pilots with quite long careers in aviation have never encountered such challenges. I can confidently say that these are skills I couldn't master in a lifetime. You do this as a lone pilot? I take my hat off.
I am in awe of your skill when flying in such terrain and weather conditions.
I had to show my wife this landing. Glad it worked out for you. Looking forward to your next flight, as usual. ð
Brilliant! Looks fantastic!
I'm loving that flight panel with navigational instruments!
Great video always looking forward to the next one.
Beauty!!!! (almost as crazy as Lukla)..... Nice Job!
White knuckle, is that what you call it! Amazing, well done!
You are getting some great quality vids these days. Nice landing. That was a great piece of flying getting in there.
I got my PPL in August and this type of flying definitely motivates me to want to get my IR!
Also ordered a coffee table book and some PNG coffee grown by those wonderful folks. Cant wait to receive it. Randy D
Such amazing skill! God be with you.
Superior hand and eye coordination. Excellent personnel skills
Thanks
That's what you call adventure. I flew a light plane once, i wanted to learn, but it cost too much, so now i just enjoy watching these aviation vids, keep em coming.
great music on that timelapse at the end -- enjoyable
Dude, my knuckles were white, just sitting in my chair watching this. Love the return trip too, with shots of villagers, gorgeous terrain and beautiful music!
I love this! I looked up your location on MSFS 2020 and look forward to trying out some flights!
The weather forecast is correct AT THE TIME OF REPORTING. Weather changes every minute. I learned that from winters in Chicago. LOL
You manage your aircraft and airmanship very well, great decision making processes! Love the time lapse videos at the end!
Bush pilots have to be the best, and you are one of them.
On the edge of my seat for that one. Excellent. ð
We're glad it worked, too!
Nice work man!!! Really liked the timelapse!!!
Real world flying. Constant decision making on the fly. Well done sir.
Incredible pilot ! Excellent Work!
Flying in paradise soo early. soo many clouds, Enjoy peace.
Wow what a ride. If it werenât for the weather the bush piloting would be a lot of fun. But heh the clouds are beautiful also. Thanks for the ride along Ryan. What a dream job.
Great Video Ryan! Love the TL and Track at the end! Merry Christmas!
Outstanding professionalism and skill. Best wishes for 2024.
Youâre an amazing pilot! Kudos to you!
Really enjoyable viewing. Merry Christmas Brother.
tremendous work, captain!
ð nice for sure Happy Holidays Ryan TY
Man that was some crazy flying oh my god Brilliant.
Great landing, your job looks awesome.
Boy if i was just youngerâĶ.that looks like some pretty sporty flyingâĶi love it!ððð
Nice flying. That looked dicey!
Videos like this are awesome, a brilliant showcase of skills
Stunning view.... I've not seen your channel before but I'm subscribing.
Taxiing morning!! Looked like a some rain on final but I can't blame you one bit! Great video! Love NTE. Thanks Merry Christmas to you all.
Wow, very impressive cool attitude. I felt like I could touch those mountains!!!!
Wonderful I love fly in this situation but it is scary.ð
Merry Xmas Ryan and family! Awesome flight!
Thanks for all the great videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
this is the most insane but beautiful base to final I've ever seen, nice flying.
Good landing thanks take care.
MEGA âĨ- and the "return flight" was there again. Thank you for all the effort you are putting in. You inspire me. (If you keep it up, I'll retrain as a pilot ð)
Youre a legend mate, such a pro as always.
Commercial pilots don't have nerves of steel like you, through everything at you & you calmly worked through every possible scenario...great job I'd even fly with you, given I had a fear of flying I reckon I'd be ok...stay safe up there & thanks for sharing
Wow! This is what i call piloting. ðððð
It is a challenge for sure. You handle it so well. Ryan, a very happy Christmas to you and your family. It is a joy to celebrate the birth of our saviourâĶâĶ.Roger
Great video of your morning flying at 5:30am, great job of being safe. Keep up with the good work, see ya next time see ya bye.
Nice video man. Cheers!
That was a bumper Christmas present of a video - who needs coffee to wake up with flights like these? :D
Bravo!
Very impressive airmanship.
Got some of the coffee you hauled out a while ago in Garvagh, Northern Ireland!
Beautiful panel.
Merry Christmas. Keep up the good work.
Great landing!!
Wow. That was a lot of work. Good job.
looks like you're so close to the trees upon departure; wow, you're brave! and close to the hills before glidepath!
Nice bush landing!

Nicely Done!
