i had a nutribullet that went bad within a year and oster versa that lasted 5 months before it started leak. I ordered a vitamix and never went back. vitamix is the way to go.
Mine should arrive in only a few days! I feel like a kid who is getting a new bike for a birthday or something! I cannot believe how much it holds. I had no idea.
I enjoy watching your recipes. I think you should mention more nutritional value & vitamin facts to your viewers. For example you mention the chlorophyll in spinach but don't back it up with why or how. How about mentioning "Spinach is an extremely nutrient-rich vegetable. It contains high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron and calcium." You have a lot of people looking up to y'all for healthy advice & I think it's important to be thorough with the education. ANYWAYS, that's my opinion. I just recently bought a Vitamix & excited to try out your soup recipes. Keep up the videos!
Great video, thanks im trying to loose weight, and i like that you didn't just tell us what you were going to put in your smoothie you also explained why you choose the fruits and veggies that you did and why it was nutritious. You just earned yourself a new subscriber!
Marian Clark @MisterPlunkett To Answer your question regarding the apple seeds, I found this information.. Apple seeds do not contain arsenic. They however have mall quantities of cyanide in them. The cyanide found in apple seeds is not harmful to humans unless eaten in large quantities. I hope this helps! Have a great day.
Hi Mal, That's the great thing about green smoothies - you can use whatever ingredients you prefer and whichever fruit and veg works for your body. Have a great day!
You can make Green Smoothies in most blenders, however, the beauty of having a VITAMIX is it does recipes like this so easily and will last you a very long time. Most blenders don't have the same power and high quality design. You certainly get what you pay for when it comes to the Vitamix Blender.
As a Vitamix owner and having had my share of successful and failed blends over the years, I thought it was advised to place lighter items first and heavier after so the weight of the latter moves the ingredients downward toward the blade. Of course here you capped it all off with ice. Still I'm curious why you didn't start with the greens?
Hi there, thanks for your question. It's most important that you start with your liquids and softer ingredients at the very bottom, and frozen ingredients at the top. The tamper is there to push everything into the blades. We've been using the Vitamix for over 25 years, and have hundreds of free recipes on our website, if you wanted to check them out :) Let us know if you've got any other questions. Thanks for watching!
I'm in so much love with my vitamix 5000...I gave up eating junk food at all. Making fruit-vegetable smoothie every day! By the way, I bought a used one vitamix, it was 5 years old, still runs like new!
I made this today and it was fantastic. I swapped half a peach for the orange, but otherwise it was identical. Here's my question: you are making about 2 liters of juice here. Do you recommend storing fresh made smoothies and juices? I think I read that you don't want to refrigerate or store these raw drinks as live enzymes die off as the beverage sits. Do the same amount of healthy properties remain after it's sat in the fridge for 2 days?
Hi CCtree6975 Personally I have no problem with it, however it is entirely up to you what you put in your smoothies. Thanks for watching and happy blending!
Hello Raw Blend friends. Sorry for the late replies everyone! We weren't being informed and couldn't view many of the comments until today. Tried this this morning......I was missing an Orange so I threw in 1/4 of a lime.....Great recipe. Even my 11 year old who hates anything good for him drank it......so that was a success for me. Thanks for taking the time to post this vid.
Tommy, I just ordered my Vitamix 5200 and Cannot wait to try it! Thank you for all of your videos. Just one question, the Green Smoothie you made, how long does it last without losing all of the nutrition and benefits, etc? Thank you.
Hi Kostas, thank you for your comment. Here is a handy blog that we have written in regards to storing your smoothie: www.rawblend.com.au/blog/how-long-will-my-smoothie-last-for-in-the-fridge/
Hi Chevy Brown , if there is too much water when it's blending, it can get quite frothy. It's best to add a banana or some nuts in your smoothie and if you want to thin it out, just add some water at the end on a low speed. I hope this helps!
Hi heather. It's linked in the video description section. You can find it on our website here - www.rawblend.com.au/recipes/green-smoothie-show-signature-recipe/
Hi Melvin, sorry we don't have any Vitamix seconds available currently, but the E310 model is a good price point. Thanks for watching and Happy Blending!

Hi Zeelane Desai Green smoothies always taste the best when they're fresh, but you can usually store them in the fridge in an airtight jar/container for up to 48 hours. Thanks for watching!
Impressive! If you leave it on with that opening (not covered) on the top, is it not going to end up on the ceiling with that high speed?? I wonder... xxx
I don't understand why people keep putting whole apples in their smoothies. Don't apple seeds contain cyanide? Other than that, this looks great. Thank you!
I just ordered a Vitamix and I cannot believe how much you crammed into that machine and it did not even slow down!!! I bought mainly to make smoothies just like this. It will be the first thing I make!
I'm inspired again. Thank you. I will make thus one. Can you post all the ingredients so I don't have to keep replaying it. Thanking you again and again.

Hi Diane Thomas I found this information.. Apple seeds do not contain arsenic. They however have small quantities of cyanide in them. The cyanide found in apple seeds is not harmful to humans unless eaten in large quantities. I hope this helps! Have a great day.
I said cyanide. Did you read my post? And if you don't chew them, they are not harmful Obviously, the Vitamix chews them. I know your body can detoxify small amounts of cyanide, but why would we intentionally put something in our bodies we know has the potential to be toxic, when we can easily remove?
Hi Diane Thomas My apologies Dianne. They do contain traces of cyanide however, you would have to eat about over 50 apple cores in one sitting for it to be toxic- a little bit won't hurt you and your body can easily detoxify the trace amounts. It is entirely up to you, what you put in your smoothies so you are more than welcome to remove them before adding apples in your smoothies :)

The video that made me make my mind up to buy a vitamix 3 years ago.
8 years passed since you posted the comment. Can you give an update about the Vitamix, do you still use it? :)
Tommy, thank you and your team for this awesome video. Vitamix has changed my life and your recipes too.
We need a tutorial on HOW TO MAKE A GREEN SMOOTHIE WITHOUT VITAMIX BLENDER

Hi Tommy, curious of your thoughts of mixing veggies and fruit. I've heard from many that the only fruit you should mix with veggies is apples.
Hi CCtree6975 Personally I have no problem with it, however it is entirely up to you what you put in your smoothies. Thanks for watching and happy blending!

Awesome Raw Blend....Give the Green Smoothies coming!!!!!
I just picked up a vitamix the other week after years of putting it off...man what a game changer I find myself using it several times a day....
Good to hear mate! Yeah, it's a life changer and use it every day. Thanks for watching!
You Rock!
Cheers Asher! Thanks for watching!
You WAY overfilled the blender, and going from slow to high that fast is bad for the blender.
Not true, it's a Vitamix you can overfill it no worries and it takes a beating, but thanks for your comments and for watching :)
Wow. I love your kitchen. It looks healthy
Thank you so much! We love it in our kitchen here
I’m sure this tastes good but way too much fruit needs more green vegetables
This is more of a beginner's green smoothie, to get the kids to eat it. I like much more greens vs fruit ratio too :) Thanks for watching.
Hi Tommy do you have any second of that same model i am interested in one i an elderly man reply please thanks
Hi Melvin, sorry we don't have any Vitamix seconds available currently, but the E310 model is a good price point. Thanks for watching and Happy Blending!

Isn't that way to much fruit? Also, would it be better to use more veggies than fruits?
High powered, does the job just right, easy to operate.
Thanks for watching :)
How long can leftovers be stored in the fridge?
Hi Zeelane Desai
Green smoothies always taste the best when they're fresh, but you can usually store them in the fridge in an airtight jar/container for up to 48 hours.
Thanks for watching!

Lol why is the crew laughing at the end? Was it tasty?? Im so excited! Got my VM today. Ty for the easy recipe! Gonna try my first green smoothie!
Mine doesn't come out quite so smooth - is it the amount of liquid or ice that I may be using? Any suggestions will be appreciated...

Question.... Is this too much fruit If I'm trying to watch my sugar levels ? I'm not diabetic. Thanks!
Hi Andres Ayala
It's entirely up to you how much fruit you want to put in your smoothies. If you're concerned, you can change the ratio of fruit to vegetables and only use minimal fruit. For specific details of how much works for your body, its always best to speak to a health professional :) Thanks for watching!
My son accidentally pressed dislike, it was an accident....no dislikes here...lol
great video, we have referred many of our patients to this simple and well annotated video!
I demonstrate Vitamix in Portland Oregon and I recommend this channel to be followed by my customers. Thanks tommy.

What about the arsenic in apple seeds?
all i can say is i made a rom and coke slush lol
why aren't there any comments?! these are great videos!
1. Apple seeds=cyanide
2. Freeze the rest in Popsicle freezers for afternoon snacks!
3. Just got my Vitamix today! Woohoo!
Hi Diane Thomas
I found this information..
Hi Diane Thomas
My apologies Dianne.
What kind of knife do you use?
so what's the first most nutritious fruit?
Great video. Thanks.
I cant believe you didnt add water..... I should give it a try as i normally use less fruit and add some water before i start blending
Hi Jessica Chang
You don't need as much water when you're using fruits like grapes and oranges as they have their own :) Have a great day!
The ice he used was likely made of 100% water.
what knife are u using
love your videos Tommy
Love these videos mayne thank you
