    Because of you, Tommy, I too just add the whole garlic in my soups when I use Vitamix and it makes cooking so much fast. Sometimes when I reheat soups in the Vitamix I add a bit more garlic or ginger and neither of them I peel. I got that trick from you, Tommy. Thanks for all you do.

    I really love how your recipes are not wasteful, for example, putting in the entire clove of garlic, skin and all, stems from red bell pepper. It makes it so easy and quick to make a meal!

    I got my Vitamix last night and this was the first thing I tried! I just used organic coconut milk (So Delicious brand) for more Thai flavor, and it was delicious!!! Two of us devoured the whole thing, and it was very filling. We followed it with a green smoothie and were stuffed. I'm so glad I got the Vitamix (my birthday present) and this soup was a great start. I fantasized about it all day today.. lol.

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roxanne, It certainly could however, we recommend steaming potatoes before hand as their starch levels and mess with a lot of people's digestion and the heat from the Vitamix friction doesn't cook this out. Thanks for watching!

    I didn't use the cashews and it came out green, is that because you used cashews?

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi *****
      The cashews definitely give it a lighter colour and make it creamier, however it wouldn't be the reason for it being green. You may be using too much of coriander? Thanks for watching! Let us know how you go :)

  • @ericwade7124
    @ericwade7124 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It occurred to me you could probably just put in pepper corns rather than ground pepper.

    Aren't you still destroying the enzyms? The food is still getting hot in there...

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's why Raw Foodists only heat until it's around 40 degrees celsius to keep most of those enzymes in tact. You can use a thermometer to monitor this :) Thanks for watching!

    Tommy, my friend you can't have raw cashews. They are always cooked. They have to be. Look up "The Story of the Cashew" for some enlightenment. I love the video none the less but telling people cashews are raw is a bit of a fallacy.

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi *****
      We use Loving Earth Raw Cashews in our recipes :)
      Some "raw" cashews are actually steamed or fried in oil when they are in the shell to make them easier to crack.
      Loving Earth Cashews are sundried and hand-cracked in Indonesia using a unique traditional knife to crack the cashew shell without using any heat
      You can view more information through this link:lovingearth.net/products/30/really-raw-organic-whole-cashews
