    Jack's a hard worker, just like Dad! I love seeing children working alongside their parents. It warms my heart, just like the logs will warm your home this winter.

    You and Jack look like twins... 😀 You have a beautiful place. It looks so calming and green! ❤ I live in ARIZONA now but was raised in Germany. What a difference. Can't grow grass and if you do it costs an arm and a leg. I just miss the green lawns and trees😞

    My husband and I used to split wood every summer when we lived in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Good memories of hard work. Great job you two.

    My dad used to do this when we had a small farm back in the 1960s. I was very young, but I would sometimes chop the kindling up. 😄 Fun times.

    Thank you Ant and hello Jack. My childhood was spent on my grandad's farm. Logs were chopped for the big
    black kitchen grate in the farm house. Brought back many memories of the log store and the chopped logs.♥

    Hi Ant, in our previous home we would hire a wood splitter and spend the day splitting and stacking wood in our backyard. Always satisfying to see the wood sheds full!

    I used to get 4 cords every year and my young son (at age 8) would put the wood on the chopping block for me to split using a maul. He was always helping me…his mom.

    How nice that your son helps you, Ant! You can tell he’s your boy! My husband and I used to cut and split our wood until he had his shoulder replaced. Wood gives off the best bone warming heat. Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻

    It's hard for me to understand how someone could take one hack at 6-8 inches of solid wood and lop it off! Haha! Your son Jack seems a great man like his Dad!

    Oak burns long and slow, great for fires. I used to get cherry and walnut too, now and then, bright flame, not as long lasting.

      @@ants_countrylife I have loaded and unloaded many an Oak and Hickory! Many years ago we heated our house with a big wood burning stove and an insert in our Living room. It took a lot of wood! I have had central heating and cooling for 20 years and believe me I appreciate it. I enjoy so your videos and nice meeting son Jack. I have a (Jack ) grandson!
