    Vinnie Moore I love your music from Mind's Eye, Time Odyssey and other albums. You have a great picking hand and one of the best guitarists since back in the 80s. Great style and tone.

    I BEGGED my hardcore Ukrainian/Yugoslav-ex Commie father to let my older brother borrow the car to drive me midweek ( 2 hours away and back!) to see Vinnie in Melbourne to his Fender-Heartfield Guitar Clinic! I was 16 and poor, kicked out of school and unemployed.....but my Dad said yes! I'll never forget that night, we actually bought him gifts from our hometown, local music store t-shirt, etc. . . .Thank you Vinnie Moore for inspiring the young and old for many decades, and many decades to come!

    It is sad that Ibanez didn't reissue Vinnie's model. They should.

    • @GenericSpace
      @GenericSpace ปีที่แล้ว

      I had an old Ibanez Blazer that I beat against my anvil until it became firewood because they used a "barrel jack" in those and if-and-WHEN that jack went out, there was no fixing it. You absolutely had to spend a lot of money buying another one then go through the hideous effort of soldering it into that tiny cavity with no room to work etc. etc.
      In hindsight, I probably should've just sold the guitar or even given it away but meh, I did have fun using it like a baseball bat.
      Shortly after that, I bought my first-and-only Strat and decided I was done with Ibanez.

    His instructional vids were legendary.
    Saw Vinnie when he was playing with UFO. He was so gracious with all the fans outside the tour bus.
    There was one part during the show when I made I contact with him and motioned to him I wanted a guitar pick. He ran to his amp to quickly get me a pick which was super cool. Awesome dude!

    Loved Vinnie Moore's playing ever since hearing him the first time in the excerpt from "Message In A Dream" in Guitar Player Flexi-disc back in `88. Phenomenal player. Interesting to see him back to Kramer guitars. I really like the lower cutaway on this one, deeper than in regular Pacers. Wonder if Kramer would be up to releasing this as his signature model at some point.

    Me I did the same, my very first Floyd Rose was installed on a Fender strat, by myself, with hammer & chisel, no internet, no previous knowledge (no luthier in town). Amazing to say that it went perfectly well, Back then I had no idea what was a guitar scale length, 25.5´´? No bare idea... But by instinct I toke measures and followed the original bridge.
    25 years later and still is one of my favorite guitars. Could have been a disaster though, one of these things that go right from the start, without explanation, beginner's luck probably.
    Vinnie is one of my favorite instrumental musicians, Mind´s Eye is my favorite instrumental guitar album ever, since its release, 26 years ago.

    lol…no doubt Vinnie Moore is incredible, but his era, was the peak of the shred era…the hot 80’s. He’s also a shrapnel guy, and Mike Varney’s protégés. He is absolutely lying if he says Yngwie wasn’t an influence. When that first Rising Force broke ground, it was the “Bible” of neoclassical guitar, and Vinnie Moore was definitely neoclassical guitar player back then.
