Great Sx4 vid! Appreciate the effort! FYI; those 09103-14032 strut bolts can be replaced with Specialty Products Part No. 81260 -- to adjust the camber ±1.75° on the wheel :)
Thx Igor. I got lucky this time…In the past I spent hours removing those 4 bolts. With your experience, you are well aware of how trying it can be at times I am sure…Cheers Pal 👍
Quick question...I replaced my front struts on my 2007 SX4 a while back, all KYB parts used. All new strut KYB rubber strut mounts and all. On the FSM exploded diagram you show on your video, I have a small gap between the top plate #10, and the vehicle body when fully assembled. The top plate #10, bottoms out on the nut #9 below it and I cannot tighten it down anymore to close this gap. I have a slight rattle when going over bumps and it is due to this gap that I can't seem to close. I replaced this top plate #10 with a genuine Suzuki part as well thinking the KYB plate may have been incorrectly manufactured but it was no different upon receiving the genuine Suzuki part. I checked if the nut #9 is the correct height, and it seems to be, and the insulator bushing below (on the underside of the strut body cavity) is a KYB branded bushing so I assume it is the correct depth. I can't tell from your video, but did you end up with any kind of gap between the top plate #10 and the body of the vehicle once the vehicle was back on the ground and the struts were fully supporting the vehicles weight? Appreciate the videos.
Well I don’t know off hand. I will look over the references you mention. I mark the components so they are reassembled in the correct orientation. I think the top mount/bearing does have an indexing mark. And must be positioned correctly. I know in the past I have had to retorque the mount studs with the weight on wheels as I had a squeak. 🤔

buy the same .. shock absorbers .. change all the steering parts .. and it still makes noise when I go through bad streets it makes a noise like knocking
Closely scrutinize the exhaust system…Missing or damaged hangers can result in undertray contact. Check near the sub frame and muffler. If it’s a AWD also check near the hanger bearing. I have experience this on my SX4’s.
My local Infinity dealership (former Suzuki, former Nissan) still supplies SGP. I am on very good terms with the fella at the parts desk. Thx for watching 🍻
My passenger side strut is leaking oil. I don't mess with springs, so I plan on getting the complete KYB strut assembly with a new spring already installed. Is there a difference in struts between the AWD and 2WD model? I need to order for the AWD.
Alright, I don't really see any other options for struts other than the KYB assembly. The car has about 154,700 miles on it, and I don't know how the previous owner maintained it. It's just safer, and better for the car if I just get a pair of struts with springs & mounts for $350 USD after shipping and tax.
Thx for watching. Unless they have been grossly overloaded, suffering from extreme corrosion, physically damaged or no longer capable of maintaining the vehicle in a road worthy attitude under load they should remain fit for service. The dampers (shocks) however do have a limited life cycle. 🍺

Always satisfaction getting that top strut nut back on when your using those widow makers. For the wiper arms I use something similar to this.... amzn.to/2SKzIY5 👍😁
Yeah they are scary I must admit…I have a number of small pullers Iain. The issue was the lower edge of the arm casting is well below the close fitting plastic shroud???? Head scratcher 🤔 Thx & Cheers 👍

Nice video. How did you find the parts numbers for the screws and nuts to replace ?. I'm trying to find them for my Sx4 2012 . Thanks

The quick strut makes a lot of sense. Especially if you run into a broken spring 😡 Not certain about a 2wd AWD difference. Don’t believe so.🍻
