What's hilarious is that I initially ordered the 128GB model for $16, then cancelled the order and "upgraded" to the 1TB version for $36. I wonder what I would have received for the $16.
At a time I bought from wish. They all sold sd card at varying price but they all contained 32 MB. So you pay more in the illusion of getting a different product. It's just the same garbage. Luckily on wish I proved it was faulty and got refunded.
Ha! Nailed it. I’ve been following these scam laptops for a few months. There’s never any reviews. But the product has an option marked US keyboard, so I figured that’s what is shipped. My only guess as to why no reviews is that people got refunds and the system would no longer allow them to write a review. Looks like one of those $6 portable Bluetooth keyboards.
Always test anything you intend to plug into your critical equipment with quarantine devices. Better yet, plug it into Linux machine first 😂 Buying minipc with pre-installed Windows? Scan it thoroughly, reinstall the system, scan again (never knows what malice hides on-board and gets loaded with BIOS). Everything can be tested in one way or another, if you're worried about random HDMI cable injecting malware into your PC, you have just as high chances of getting one from Amazon 🤷🏻
I want to contract you to work in the purchase department!!!!!! 6 figures salary, 4 hours per day, 4 days per week and you can work from home. I just need a small deposit of 2000 dollars to create your Brazilian Work Permit.
Can you please create a video on MacOS running AirLLM using the new Qwen2.5 coder at 8bit compression. AirLLM team are claiming that their compression technology is 3x faster inference. Can you please do a video
An easy rule of thumb when buying things off AliExpress is not to buy anything that has to with or includes storage of some kind whether that be sd cards , ram or hard drives
In my experience NVMe in 2230 size are mostly legit. But it also makes sense because they're not for retail and are OEM only otherwise. Got a few Samsung PM991a (512GB-1TB) and WD SN770X (2TB) and they turned out to be legit and up to spec. Working 2 years with no issues so far, and may it continue 🙏🏻😅
@ ohhh, kl , I’ll take note of that and check it out

An example from real life, fans for AirPort Extreme, bought 4 pcs., none, had no right to operate, the customer did not send back, garbage remained.... I fixed, greased and the original works. I keep watching, if I could - I would ban. In a sense, this is happening, for example from the tax side.
Kinda says Original Keyboard in your orders list. As did the order under it, did you get that keyboard as well? Aliexpress can be really shady regarding the details so if too cheap double check the description.
Hey Alex, could you make an update video regarding the surface laptop 7 since you set it up for development and how your overall experience has been. They are running some offers right now, so I guess it would be helpful for people looking for a laptop right now.
Darn I was hoping you'd go through the return process. Any online merchant can have a bad seller, but it's the followup, customer service and consumer protection that's really important. I hear peeps in online forums saying (in general) aliexpress is legit, but it's hard to believe and I'd like more info/investigation into them. They have a few items I can only really get from them directly (mostly android based smart watch, not wear os) at a reasonable price.
It's a hurdle to get money back from Ali but getting it back as currency to spend again on Ali seems to be a non-issue in my experience. Most of these sellers either can't speak English in any meaningful capacity or don't care so good luck getting aftermarket support from the seller specifically. Often for some weirder components (like BMS for battery pack) had no documentation whatsoever and it's worked out by some users on some obscure forums or Reddit). Also never sent anything back but I suspect you may end up with no item or money or at best pay a lot for round trip delivery costs and months in waiting 😂
Alex, from across the river, about the cable you purchased. By now you know that a cable can inject malware on your computer. I have a bunch of cables that came along with 4K 15.6 in monitors I bought (4K for less than a $100). I'm at least testing each cable with a device I bought from 'Darren '.
Got a 12$ 256gb sd card from temu, it was a sd card, plug it in, it said it was 256gb, but when you copy to it, it starts out fast, then slows down, then slower, then slower, then into the bytes per second. I think it had like 1gb (or even less), and they used firmware to throttle it so you could never really find out it was only 1gb. Tricky.
As a long time Aliexpress user, I can tell you there are types of items you *can* buy on Aliexpress (like that cable) and there are types of items you should not even try (like HDDs, USB flash drives, etc.)
I bought some beads off AliExpress but the beads were perfect but when the package came it look like someone took a sneak peak inside it was ripped a bit but everything came. When I looked at the beads the box to put the beads actually broke.
Would be super interested as well, as I'm not sure what the process is like. It's even more relevant now that the scammer was banned - will AliExpress cover the cost?
Literally man i order a blackberry priv and they giv me literally a empty box i show the video prove opening i show pic and opening a dispute the seller tell me i refund you yust get a post certificate i go get the certificate and wen i go home open pone phone dispute ended without a time limit and they don refund me so be careful beter ebay or amazon
I bought the same keyboard for my ipad in Amazon which was only around $20 (I ordered some other keyboard, but this one came out. Fortunately, I returned that and got my full refund back). But you bought that for $36 in AliExpress! Scams are cheaper in amazon tho 😂
Love your video! I just subscribed to your channel because why not? You got scammed for us hihihi jk! Thanks for sharing your experience with AliExpress.

@@AZisk i bought this exact laptop and got a keyboard…

I stopped buying anything on AliExpress. Everything and really everything i ordered from there was always bad quality and a waste of money.

scams on electronics is especially serious on Chinese platforms, and the refunding is a massive hassle for overseas shipping
Yes technically the oculink will limit the 4090.
if something is too good to be true, it's not true
I feel like an AliExpress series is starting...
Just saw an advert telling me that I could buy 3 sport cars (not toys, ACTUAL CARS) for 99p.... How are these ads allowed??!

What happened to that $40 laptop you ordered lmao
Edit: never mind, I didn’t realize this was it lol

I got a similar keyboard at a local store for $5.
Matches my experience with a test purchase. The autoconfirm is a nice play!
they are scammers, no refund
I have that exact keyboard! It came as part of one of my older iPad Pro case+keyboard combos from Amazon. Cost < $50 total
I'm shipping you the phrase "I'm SHOCKED". By the time it arrives, my sentence may be: "I'm not at all surprised".

It's a laptop, but with invisible screen.

@@AZisk well, it's laid on top of laps, technically it's a laptop.
I had given you even a more complete reply there for a similar yet cheaper (😂) "laptop"!

@Azisk please make a video on web+mobile development, as a fresher how would you start?
Aliexpress needs to be banned if it ain't going to clean it's act
I bought a cheap 2Tb usb thumb drive and it is a weird user experience to say the least, would not recommend it.
Were you able to get a refund? I know, dumb to ask, but just curious about Ali's refund policies.
Didn't try. Not worth the hassle, especially since the scammer is long gone.

There is something bigger going on there with every Bank and shipping company going along with all these scams.
that wasnt lucky call , he bought it before you hahahahahahah
But it has lots of terabites, count them!
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Nice. Atleast it turns on

It's a VR with a Physical Keyboard... See if there's no button to activate an emersive AR expérience 🤯🙂
HOW CAN THEY LEGALLY SELL THESE ITEMS? SCAM FOR SURE. SOO SAD TO RIP HONEST PEOPLE OFF. SITE SHOULD BE BANNED !!!
