I think the mace of Molag Bal, is supposed to be like that on purpose. It's not meant to be the deadliest, most efficient weapon. Rather, it's meant to cause as much pain as possible. That's just the kind of guy Bal is.
And also ofc it’s to make you fully understand who is causing said pain, he wants you to have plenty of time to fully understand that molag bal has domination over you and your suffering
@@glossyplane542 and on top of that, the only reason it does the same damage as a daedric mace, is simply because men mer and beast on average, are so weak compared to... well... the average daedra. I've kind of always thought it weird that the dragon bone mace looked like that when you have the absolutely funny yet brutal design of the warhammer, using a hip bone as the head is funny and also maybe an unintentional reference to early human weapons. thinking about it now maybe using some smaller bones from different areas like the wings. Maybe use the dragon wing equivalent to the humerus, or upper arm bone, as the head of the mace.
I'd love to see a war axe one next. I think they have some of the most underrated designs in the game. Ebony and Daedric axes, both war and battle, are so darn cool.
Skyrim's combat system lends itself well to the mace, the Stahlrim mace being my favorite. A note on the Dragonbone Mace, those aren't teeth. If you walk up next to a dragon and compare they look more like the wing claws. It would look better if it was literally just a bone, like a dragonbone baseball bat.
You should review weapons from older Elderscrolls games like Morrowind and Oblivion. Find out which game has the best designed weapons, whether it’s how realistic or fantastical it is or how well it mixes the two.
Maces are my favorite weapons in skyrim. I love to pretend to be a fallen vigil of stendar. Mace, robe, heavy gauntlets and boots. The steel mace is the best looking mace imo

To be honest, I actually love orcish mace, in fact, of all orcish weapons, it is my most favourite. Whenever I enchant one, I rename it to "Totem of Something" or "Something Totem" (my Shock enchantment made "Skyfire Totem" and my life-leech enchantment made "Wendigo Totem") due to that savage looks (and the fact my character is traditionally melee witch, so all maces are either Totems or Scepters)
I thought the ebony mace was the best one because it’s the only one with more than 4 blades as well as some small sharp hooks at the end of each blade that increases the chance of seriously wounding your enemies.
You should do a video on the ancient Nordic weapons. I didn’t see the ancient Nordic mace in here so you must have either forgotten about it or something
I knew the ebony mace would be number 1 But to be honest i wish the dragon mace would be more like the dragon hammer with more of a femur end to the mace or even parta of the dragons horns /spine horns. For the daedric mace i wished the enchantment or enchantmenta you place on it would hover within the top of the mace slowly seeping into it..(like how the spells in your inv look when you scroll through them. I with each weapon would have a unique way to show its magical enchantment instead of it having slightly glowing idk cracks
for some reason i always carried all iron weapon simply because their looks. Iron weapon is probably the most realistic weapon in Skyrim (Except the iron greatsword, it look suck)

Mace of Molag Bal has got to be one of my top five favorite weapons in the game. Tho, I'm very biased towards anything Molag Bal
the orcish mace looks like it's made for stabbing, rather than swinging
I knew you were a man of quality and that you would have Ebony at #1 when you placed Stalhrim in a respectable position at #5 👌
The daedric mace looks like someone shorted a staff a little too much then called it a mace.
