    One more awesome restoration. And an awesome work in video edditing with rapid changings in different close up views. I know the difficult of this job because we need to mount the equipment in many different positions to capture the best images and for that work we need to be very methodic and patient too. But this work is already being compensated, just see the number of views in such a short time. Don't stop. Congratulations. Big hug.

      Thank you Alberto for the wonderful comments, yes it is a time consuming process recording and editing the videos, I would say it increases the tool restoration time by 3.
      With this tool, and the number of attempts making the wooden handle parts I almost gave up because of the recording. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it!
      Stay safe my friend.

    I really enjoy perfect handled screwdriver restorations, and this one doesn’t disappoint😀👍! I’ve considered restoring one myself, but haven’t mustered up the courage to make a new set of handles for it like you have🤣. It looks fantastic, and the polish really turned out nice!

      Thanks mate!!!! Recording the video held me up, after a few disasters with the wood I found it hard to get motivation to finish the project. Anyway got there in the end, might have a go with no camera next time.

    *Great job! all by the book, first tempered the steel, then hardened again. Great. I have a few screwdrivers like that too, maybe I'll restore them sometime too ;-)*

    Nice job with the rivets and the wood work 👍.. Is Raw linseed oil better than boiled ?

    • @howzatrestorations1538
      @howzatrestorations1538  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure if it's better mate, I just bought the raw as I didn't realise there was a difference, I've used it a fair bit, it takes longer to dry than the boiled apparently. Reminds me of the days oiling the old cricket bat.

    Try dunking that bad boy in oil for a better hardening result Howzat, Nice rescue that was in pretty bad shape, there are how a screwdriver should be constructed 👍
