Put systems in place. I've always been bad with scheduling, so that's the biggest area I feel needs to improve and the rest will systematically fall in line.
I'm barely new on TH-cam started just 2 weeks ago with faceless shorts and now with 72 subs. My biggest takeaway from this episode was in starting messy did trial and error and only hit over 1kviews once out of my over a hundred uploaded videos so far and yet to upload a long form. Until now still looking for that "clarity". Thank you for sharing those insights in this episode. . .
Started my TH-cam channel back in June 2022, walking tours of out of the way villages , regional cities and outer suburbs of cities focusing on things like downtown, the hospital, the fire station, parks, sports fields and sub residential streets. Now I have 4700 hours of watch time and 925 Subscribers. I use a selfie stick and an iphone 12 for filming, and for video editing I use iMovie. I dont intend on changing anything.
Don't forget that being a TH-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of Famester of course to help) will always pay off at the end. Good luck to everybody, we will all succeed one day!!
If we have to run everything in our life what other people want than we aren't being ourself. What left for us ? Eventually will build up depression. (and keep in mind no matter what you do its never going to be good enough). There is videos which made for making money like advertising products and there. is videos which is much deeper about life and personal growth. People in this world are so disconnected from themselves and connected more to material growth involves ego that's why when they see this kind of topic they find boring or even get offended because of their ego.
I started grinding in August last year. I have six videos uploaded working on my seventh now and watching this interview is giving me even more courage to keep getting better with every video I made.
Faceless TH-cam channels are now my favorite go to. I dont have to be in front of a camera, and I can still express my ideas! Until I feel comfortable I'm going to continue to use AI but one day I plan to use my own voiceovers! Such an exciting journey and I get to help people. A win-win! Rewatching this video soon. So Good❤ I wish you all the best on your TH-cam Journies!
starting a youtube channel finally just feels so right. i’m 19 and i love putting my thoughts and opinions out and let people interpret them. i’ve always put off the idea of starting a TH-cam channel. and i’m so proud of finally doing this in 2024. like they say it all starts w a dream doesn’t it. 🎀i hope all of you may reach your dreams wishing you love and success also happy new yearrrrrr.
Ms. Jessica, oh, to be your age with a brand new TH-cam channel and the desire to speak to the world. I am 72 years old. I started a TH-cam channel in 2021. I qualified for the Partner Program in one year. Like you, I love teaching and speaking to the world. It was very hard work for an old man like me. But, I hung in there and made new videos to follow other videos that only got 12 or 14 views. The EASY thing would have been to quit. At my age, I don't need this aggrevation. In fact, I quit every single week. I said "no more" after every video for the entire time. But. I always changed my mind and said, "Only one more." I am going to subscribe to your channel because YOU have what it takes. Thank you. Mr. Phil.
Boy, this is so good! I have been studying three business models for 3 separate things since last fall and need cash flow and it is so draining after awhile
I just uploaded my first video, after watching your videos over and over! I struggled…it has mistakes… but it’s up. I have a very specific niche so I don’t have any idea how it will grow. So, I’m watching your video again, and my next one will be better. Thank you for your help!!
I had 880 subs from videos I did years ago and only just restarting with a very different content focus. It’s like starting from scratch. This was a really helpful video… taking notes! 😉🙏🏻
The business plan is really key to foundation , direction and overall focus , that’s crucial in most areas of starting any U tube or business channel that grows together , your plan and the channel separately and or together
Your advice on just starting to create and accepting that my first videos might not be perfect really clicked with me. It's reassuring to hear it's okay for them to be my worst. Your tips on picking topics that my audience cares about were super helpful. I've learned to match my content with what interests them, which will make planning my videos smarter.
I posted my first video 4 days ago and it’s been challenging to find a specific niche 🥺 I put so much pressure on myself but this video has motivated to just keep taking action! I guess it’s all work in progress 🙏🏼 Thank you Sean!
Try thinking of the avatar you are marketing to instead of the niche you are looking for. An example would be a 14 year old girl in high school who is shy and lacks self confidence. This person might want to see videos on hair and makeup, fashion, videos, exercising, beauty tips, making friends, gossip, state of mind tips, talking tips, book recommendations, app recommendations, and all types of other things. But as long as you keep making videos for the same type of person, your channel will grow without you having to stick to one niche. Thought this could help if you were having trouble picking a niche
@@baronperez8200 wow thank you for this! Just what I needed. I was feeling quite lost trying to get back on creating content and this is giving me more clarity. Thank you again 🥹✨
I've started "messy" with 5 channels 😂 I did get one to monetization but I still don't feel I've gotten to the point of putting out content with value. My other channels are seeing slow growth and 2024 is about improving quality and value for the audience
Its all about consistency and hardwork. You are right its about improving something in every video. You will be successful. Best of luck for all 05 Channels.
Big time thankful for Think Media! Just posted my first video and looking forward to the TH-cam journey, heavily inspired by Think Media to “just press record!” ✝️🔥🏆

Literally ZERO here! I just published My very 1st video yesterday 🧕🐪🌎 I do videos from the deserts of Jordan and also my other home Finland (The Middle East Bedouin life vs. Western World from "a western woman's perspective"). So excited to embark on this new journey of YT! Thank you for all the advice 🙏
My first video was the most successful and I had no idea what I was doing. Now, i gain more knowledge and my videos barely gets any views. I truly believe it’s had to do with algorithm and business.
I don’t know if this applies to reels for instagram, I post a video one time and got more than 12 k views . Then I post later on and didn’t get but maybe 100 views. 😊
I started my content creation journey in March 2024 when I accidentally came across Sean Video. His passion and encouragement inspired them to start my TH-cam journey. Success comes with the hard work we need to focus on improving one thing at a time, whether it be sound or thumbnails, etc., but be consistent, and have a regular posting schedule and eventually, you will achieve your goal. Shoutout to all those who just started their channels if you are running low on subscribers, I would love to be part of your journey as being your subscriber. Together we will succeed. Don't give up keep, working hard success is yours.
Sean, your talk on "Focus" was a game-changer for me. I needed to hear this, and I probably need to hear it again and again. I'm at my wit's end, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed, trying to chase too many rabbits. Until recently, I was posting most of my videos on Meta, but now I see the importance of uploading them to my TH-cam channel. Again, thank you for sharing your expertise. God bless you even more.
I’ve had this channel for 6 years and haven’t posted again till this year 2024 and I’m only posting about 3 shorts a day since 50k view per month so far I’m staying consistent have grown over 200 subs so far ❤❤
Focus - is definitely something that many people me including need nowadays. With so much noise out there having focus is so important. Well done Sean Cannell! Thank you for sharing your knowledge1
Thank you, I’ve been doing so much research, reading, watching and awaiting my own results in order to start a you tube channel. You have given me the courage to just go for it!
You’re the person I learn from. I’ll continue to only watch and learn from you. And when I’m successful I will reach out to thank you and share my story
I would love a video where you show the first TH-cam videos that members of the Think Media team (and maybe some other creators) made with commentary on them. I think one of the most motivating things would be to see where those people started off with their janky beginner videos!
My question on all videos that mention to "just start", what about the legal aspect? What type of business license do I need? Am I considered a business owner or independent contractor with TH-cam? I want those bases covered BEFORE I get started. State sites for new businesses, in some areas, can be vague. And, calling can result in a very long wait time.
I started my channel in June 2022 and I am glad I increased my reach by making game dev tutorials. I make videos related to game development of a 3D platformer in Unity and my analytics are impressive. I got 837 subscribers after 20 months since the channel has been started and I am doing game dev videos since November 2022. I had multiple attempts in the past but all attempts were failed and there was no organic reach. Now I am happy because my channel has organic reach and it gets up to 1,000 views each 48 hours. I have been dreaming about TH-cam since 2018 when I was still in high school, but I didn't know much of TH-cam and didn't have my own niche.
I started on June I have 1500 subscribers and one of my videos already have 20k views in one month… for me shorts are working great and I have given me more than 30 subscribers in two weeks… I’m just researching how to grow more and that’s how I got to this video… but I can say in my short experience: thumbnails, titles and of course a good content make the job … my content is music and mainly for kids (in Spanish) so is even harder to grow, but all the hope and work on it 🎉🎉🎉
Woo! So encouraging! Love the niche you talked about - biohacking! My focus is on the ultimate biohacking tool - the AO Scan. Full body, scanning and optimization, complete reports, customize, sound therapy, color, therapy, mind, sync for self hypnosis, frequency programs, for every symptom, and much more! And you bet we also have a PEMF mat, with infrared and special crystals. It’s like biohacking Star Trek gadgets!
🤩 *Excellent advice!* So many nuggets of wisdom and a wealth of practical advice. Thanks for putting this together and sharing! _Keep up the great work._ 🙌
73 years old grandma, just have fun, and have fun... I love God first, because, he makes me feel great and have a sense of humor...a lot of talk, how to this, how to that, DO NOT WORRY< HAVE FUN, 73 years old grandma, 2/24/24
The video started simple, helpful, and encouraging. Then it got so complicated and unrelated to anything I might create that it scared the bejeezus out of me. I will still jump in and risk being messy before succeeding.
My wife son and I are staring at family blog. Our son’s name is V and we are going to call it Ve-N-us. My question/concern: we do music, art, homeschool, travel, health/wellness, DIY. I’m concerned that we have too many topics to cover. Should we do them all under our brand or make separate channels that narrow the focus. ?
This is such good information. Very informative. I just started and posted my first video 2/23/24 and already have 51 subscribers. I am looking forward to keep trying, be consistent until I succeed. Thanks for all you do!🤗
I'm nervous about this but I am excited about it at the same time. I have been wanting to get started with this, but I have a little thing holding me back and that is that I have a learning disability comprehension disability. I have to hear and see 👀 it,but it is somewhat of a problem for me. I know that there are videos of any and every topic. I have gotten lost in all of this research even though I have written it down and I back having a hard time understanding what I have done. Do you have any ideas for my problem???
Question because I am confused. This channel is called “think media podcast“ but it looks like for this particular video someone is interviewing you for their own podcast? What is the name of the podcast you are on in this video? Unless this is one of those things, I think I’m starting to see more of, where you STAGE things to appear like you have some kind of audience and they are the ones recording you, but actually you are the one that created all of this?
Thank you very much! Very helpful video. I started my youtube channel for personal use then I thought maybe it will be useful for someone, someday... 😊

I started on June I have 1500 subscribers and one of my videos already have 20k views in one month… for me shorts are working great and I have given me more than 30 subscribers in two weeks… I’m just researching how to grow more and that’s how I got to this video… but I can say in my short experience: thumbnails, titles and of course a good content make the job … my content is music and mainly for kids (in Spanish) so is even harder to grow, but all the hope and work on it 🎉🎉🎉
This comes just in time :D 20 subs here baybee
same dea😢let's grow😊

I’m very new to YT Travel channel. This video motivated me to keep doing what you love, you’ll eventually make it. Thank you…🙏🏽😊
Suuuuuuccccccceeeeesssss

73 years old grandma, just have fun, and have fun... I love God first, because, he makes me feel great and have a sense of humor...a lot of talk, how to this, how to that, DO NOT WORRY< HAVE FUN, 73 years old grandma, 2/24/24
Great video! Thanks
Starting messy in 2024! You guys are doing great.
Hopefully one day I can become successful an reach the silver play button that’s my most biggest goal I wanna reach before I get to old
The video started simple, helpful, and encouraging.
Great information! Thanks a bundle👊🏾
Glad it was helpful!
I came just to learn about TH-cam tips. Sean you dropped some gems 💎 thank you for sharing your wisdom.
My problem is perfectionism! It blocks me from that first recording. Thanks for saying it's OK to fail. 😊
Thanks im getting a more clearer start for my channel.
This is such good information. Very informative. I just started and posted my first video 2/23/24 and already have 51 subscribers. I am looking forward to keep trying, be consistent until I succeed. Thanks for all you do!🤗
Done ☑️
Love it!
This is a great breakdown👍
Glad you liked it
Great video I finally got with situation together and started making videos! Great advice appreciate this channel!
