This and the Blizzard of 78 were always regarded as "next level" storms. I saw the damage from both after the fact and it looked like a war zone in Scituate - houses exploded or simply not there anymore with scattered bits of debris and wreckage everywhere. But we've seen so much footage over the last ten years of Scituate going underwater with every single Nor'easter that hits them just right. It makes me wonder if overall it's getting worse.
I have my memories of this. Nantucket Island out working in this for days.

They should’ve never been out that far

OCT 29-30TH HISTORICAL STORMS, 1991,2011,2012,2017
God speed to the crew of the andrea gail
it was 1993 not 1991
No it was 1991. This was when it was 15 foot perfect waves in Florida from the 50 foot sea up north... 1993 was a snow system. FYI
The home video footage shows the year to be 91.
Whatever the year, the ocean coming for you would be absolutely terrifying.
where is this?
If I had to guess I’d say Scituate. I think that’s the Scituate lighthouse half way through the video
