as a comic book fan i can't help but constantly think that things in marvel movies are "stolen" from DC characters. I mean I know it's a pretty easy thing to make a speedster who's "always late"... but it /is/ specifically a Flash thing.

One of the biggest mistakes of the Fox X-Men Universe is Magneto never finding out that Quicksilver is his son. It should have been some big emotional scene ! They definitely should have done that at some point ! Nothing can justify why it wasn't done ! I remember going into Dark Phoenix thinking it was going to happen , but unfortunately , it didn't !
They were too busy fumbling the Dark Phoenix plot for a second time to focus on unimportant things like character development.

This pissed me off the first time I saw this movie. Could've been a great moment with Pietro and Magneto but they were too busy trying to convince us Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress
I love how 10 years are supposed to have passed and virtually none of them have aged a day.
There’s this thing called “suspension of disbelief” - it helps makes fictional movies more enjoyable. You should try it.
They were literally teenagers in First Class, including Charles. Then in Days of Future Past, they were 27. Here, they are in their late 30s. They look it IMO. Mystique is also supposed to age slower than anyone else
In First Class Beast said something about Mystique's cells aging a lot slower than a normal person. In the og trilogy she's supposed to be 40-50 but she looks 25
To be fair, most were still teens, including Hank, and Mystique can look however she wants

I don't understand how Days of Future Past was so good, and this one has the acting and production values of a Syfy Original Film.
Two words. Bryan Singer. He was so happy with what they did with First class he forced the creators to let him direct Days of Future past because everything was already set in motion. He didn't have to do anything else, Scripts etc. Apocalypse was supposed to be introduced later but he forced them to do that without any prior work and we saw the result. Mans got an ego size of apocalypse smh.
I dont know what i read that Mathew vaugn was supposed to direct the next film but he opt out and choose to direct kingsmen secret service thats when singer take over. Mathew vaugn would go for a more direct sequel of first class probably still set in 60s, days of future past would be the third film. I dont know why singer screwed up so badly in lats two films, his original x men and its sequel were ground breaking films, if it wasnt for the success of these two we not be having so many superhero films. Interesting coincidence is that like mathew vaughn he was supposed to direct the third film in original trilogy but opt out to direct superman returns. I remeber methew vaugn was to replace him but the somehow bratt ratnee take over apparently the many of the good bits of last stand came from methew vaugn like kesley grammer as beast, perfect casting.

If this chamber blocks their powers, why does Mystique look like Lawrence?
Obviously this is headcanon and the real reason is probably Lawrence didn't want to wear the makeup but it's possible that Mystiques "normal" blue form is a result of her mutation and her normal human form Lawrence, in X3 she loses her powers and turns into a regular human rather than staying blue. Though that said, night crawler and beast are still blue? I have no fucking idea tbh
Mystique wasn’t born blue, being blue and having the power to shapeshift is a mutation.
It makes sense. They can't use/control their powers in the room so Quicksilver can't use his speed but if the powers are transformation like mystique and beast they can't "control" their powers to revert back to their original form

the movies are never entirely accurate to the comics. They have to tweak some things to still be relevant. But not too much.
Like how out of his 4 horsemen in the movie. They were all basically the horsemen of death. Magneto/Storm/Psylocke/Angel.
They still had Caliban and Xavier somewhat work with him, but they weren't titled his horsemen.
