I missed out on some notable scandals such as the Barry Hall punch and the Heritier Lumumba controversy. What is another scandal that I missed out on?

You missed the Greg Williams scandal in 1997. 9 match suspension that went to the courts.

@@petermcculloch4933 Yes it does. I was there when it happened. Scuffle between Williams and Sean Wellman, Round 1, 1997. Williams got upset, still remonstrated with Wellman, and pushed umpire Andrew Coates. He got reported for that and suspended for 9 matches. He appealed, got off, the AFLtook it to the courts, the courts sided with the AFL, and Williams was suspended, which effectively ended his AFL career.
Where do you think the standing rule now of not touching umpires started.
@@athlonen So the rule changed.The AFL change rules every season.Some rules are changed to speed the game up, other rules are changed to protect umpires.That is all that needs to be said.When you dive into the murkier elements it becomes gossip.

Getting addicted to drugs is probably a kind of 'scandal', but really - it's a tragedy.
i dont see gaff as a bad person, He did something that a lot of people have done sometime in they're life. The severity of the injury he gave to brayshaw makes him look a lot worse, but in reality, he wasn't trying to injure him severely, but probably just make it hurt a little. Unfortunately, Gaff's punch does put a stain on his great career he's had, but it doesn't affect how good he is as a player or person in my eyes.
To add on to that, I think Gaff has had an amazing career. 2 all australians is what non-AFL players dream to have, and if it wasn't for the punch, he could've been in contention for the brownlow that year.
