Ok ... So I already covered how to switch for both Mavic Mini and Mavic Air 2 in my previous comment :P
Actually don't make people confused ... You are doing 1.0.8 installation and I already explained the 0 version for Mini is 1.0.6 and for the Air 2 is 1.1.10 ... Simply you forgot to explain to the people that it is better to use another Android device (compatible of course and without DJI Fly App installed previously) to not screw up your DJI logs if you have any DJI care refresh and in case need to use it ... And I learned it on my own following your first video for FCC hack ... Just started trying the same for the Air 2 and I did it with Air 2 as well ;)
Thanks for your clear tutorials. I still got the FCC hack done with most recent DJI FLY app both with Jailbroken IOS(Cydia app akLocationX) and Android(Fake GPS). I Initially struggled testing after the process because engines didn't start indoors due to lack of light and no gps(It was midnight). Unlocking gps would mean that i should have connected my IOS device losing the 11 channels.
Later i realized VPS system was disabled due to lack of light so just adding some light meant that engines started and i could connect the device. FCC mode was still there with normal CE location. Today i tested outside and followed your sequence successful.
Works for me. One question: what if i will ever need to calibrate the compass? How will I know and how will I perform it?

DJI fly 1.1.2 works and I believe it does on 1.1.3 too. I think it got patched on 1.1.4

Older app versions of Dji fly can’t be installed. So there is no fcc mode available. In Athens, greece can’t even fly downtown above 25m..
What futures do we missed if we use the 1.1.3 version that still support FCC?

I’ve downloaded the FCC app and installed it. There’s one thing I do t understand. I’ve watched the drone tweaks vid and I’ve watched others.
I can’t tell if I’m in FCC mode as the line at 90 doesn’t line up with the bar and the 100 line is below the line.

Looks like loopholes are fixed. 1.0.8 doesn't start on any of my phones. Neither does any before 1.1.4.

In general, I don't fly my mini far enough away to need this but it interesting to know it is possible. I like to see my drone when filming and I don't waste battery going out and back by flying this way. Of course there may come time when for whatever reason this is not possible so thanks for posting this.

And by the way, one important use for the Yagi aerials for DJI is that they can be used on the aerials of wifi transmitters and receivers to boost range connecting wifi between buildings . . .

No because because the dji air 2s has occusync and the occusync drones can switch between CE and FCC even while the drone is airborne if you want to force your air 2s to switch to FCC you will need a hack.
Actually it works for the Mini even with your version but not working for Mavic Air 2 with newer versions of the app so let me tell you the exact (0) versions with which it really works for both:
Ok because there are many TH-cam videos on how to switch Mavic Mini or Mavic Air 2 in FCC mode while you are in Europe (two of them are yours) and because all of the videos are not showing the exact 0 version which you need to have on your phone and I made my own research/homework how to successfully switch to FCC on my own, now the smallest thing that I can tell you guys and girls is the exact versions (0 version upon release of each of the drones) of DJI fly app with which you will really be able to succeed but make sure before you install them you do the following sequence:
In Apps go to your current DJI fly App (DISCLAIMER !!! make this at your own risk and if you clear cache and data you'll lose all logs if you land up to use DJI care refresh and if DJI request them from your phone) and Clear Cache, Clear Data, Force Stop and Uninstall. Then google for those versions of the DJI Fly App and download them:
Mavic Mini:

It even start without downloading resources from the Internet. But Fake GPS need to be started with US location in advance and the WiFi need to be switched off or even better to be in Airplane Mode in advance !
Mavic Air 2:
dji.go.v5_1.1.0-2043467_minAPI23(arm64-v8a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
This one is downloading resources from Internet and once downloaded I suggest you to switch off your WiFi make sure the app is starting, then Power off phone (with Airplane mode already switched on in advance and Fake GPS already been used and have last fake US position cached) then continue using Airplane mode after phone switched on, then start Fake GPS with the last know fake GPS location and then start the DJI Fly App 1.1.0 with phone connected to the remote in advance(remote switched off and after app started then turn off the remote on) then turn on the drone itself and cover the area from the nose of the drone to where the battery tray starts with solid snartphone (or else solid thing which will not let drone to lock GPS)...
Once you see Drone and app are connected and you see camera view go to the 3 dots menu and on transmission tab see that the ~1KM in the right is above the line (means FCC mode) if on the line then means you are still in CE mode and you didn't done it right ...
For the Mavic Mini is easier because once you start in the same way the 1.0.6 app and connect to remote and switch on remote and then switch on drone and cover with solid smartphone same department, a pop up message with telling you "Aircraft resetting wireless network settings to match local laws and regulations. Wait and connect again later." And you definitely need to press OK at this moment...
Then switch off drone, remote and app on phone
Now both MM and MA2 are in FCC mode now.
In order to keep them in FCC you need to switch drones on, power on remote then sticks to be pressed with thumbs down-inside (or google how to start motors with only remote connected without smartphone connect) and then after motors started connect your iPhone with even the latest DJI Fly App.
Don't forget to not land before you disconnect phone from cable and then land to keep FCC mode ON !

Hi, just tried on version 1.1.2 and it works! Just when i minimize the fly app, i noticed the icon of fake gps running on the background. do i need to always run fake gps when running the dji fly app to preserve the hack?

on my IOS Fly app there are no frequenties to check , only a blockdiagram and signal distortions, but it also works on ios only then you can see if you are in FCC when the 1 KM line is on 85% and in CE Mode the 1 km line stands on 95%

I've got an FCC version (present from a friend in the US) and only iPhone. What options are there for fake GPS without android? Currently my drone is almost unusable due to range and interference issues... btw, your channel is amazing and learning a lot from you. :-)
You could try the following:
In settings>transmission, select manual, select the wifi channel that has the lowest green bar
Put your phone into aircraft mode (this will reduce interference)
This gave me better range but your milage may vary
You could also invest in a yagi antenna (2.4ghz version) and or a parabolic reflector that slots over your stock antenna. You will need to be pointing your remote directly at the mini to maintain connection

It does not have enough power, you will get a little improvement but not as much as the real FCC drone
But it is the same hardware no matter from where you are buying the dji mini 2.

One question, sometimes when the controller is connected to the phone and the drone is turned on on the floor it will ask to you to do a IMU compass calibration, how can you do it if you can't connect the the controller to the phone when the drone is landed?

This hack doesn't works any more because hardwares are different in CE and FCC. CE version's signal strength is 18dbm while in FCC that has 30dbm so obviously it has a bigger range than CE and we can't increase the signal strength by just a software because of the hardware has the less capability and the most noticeable thing in this video is when he finished all the hacking process and goes to the transmission tab the channels are changed to 11 but frequency is still 2.4GHZ.... which should be 5.8ghz as FCC is.
So there is no way to change from CE to FCC.
Nihar Ranjan Mahali I noticed that to the signals after his apparent hack looked a lot weaker as well.
This comment is incorrect in so many ways.... frequency does *not* need to change to 5.8 because it’s in FCC mode, it simply allows the transmitters to be turned up a bit (nowhere near “true” fcc model levels but still higher than the default, especially for the 5.8 band where you get from 500m max range to about 1400m). It will still stay in 2.4 unless there is interference as 2.4 provides better range.

Did you compare the flight time and remote control battery usage between modes? I think FCC mode will drain the remote's battery quicker, but how much?
I get over 25 min flight time on my FCC version. Mine is almost new too.

I have to ask, as Can not find any data on this online, and hacks are not my preferred way as the limitation is hardware based. Can one purchase a remote for FCC (US, asia, etc) and use it with the mavic mini CE version, or the mini itlself also sucks signal wise?

In principle yes but range and stability should be an issue with Air 2 because of occusync
There are modded apps available for iPhone that make the fake gps method obsolete and that work for both Air 2 and the Spark.

The question we need to ask here is why is range limited in Europe. The answer is largely to do with security rather than flight safety. Certainly in controlled airspace, largely over cities and airports which are the focus of terrorist activity long range drones are not a good mix. The security services can detect high output transmitters. Any mobile high power transmitter in the areas will be classified as a threat.....be very careful!
YOU ARE TALKING OUT OFF YOU ASS!!! BULLSHIT!!! Not one freaking wifi-signal transmitter will be able to create interferance in any airspace! This only has to do with the interferance it will or could have with consumer products on that same band wide! Also you do not use any 3G or 4G mobile signal of your phone to control that drone! IT"S ONLY USING THE WIFI 2.4ghz and 5ghz bandwide. So the only reason that they limit the output, that is against people getting problems with your wifi in ad home! Also rules and regulations here are the same around any airports and controlled airspace! Yes they have equipment to pinpoint you when you are in close range and causing interferance to other systems. Still the limited power of the transmitter is not there to stop you enter into prohibited airspace! FOR THAT THEY HAVE GEOFENCING! TO CONCLUDE: FLYING ANY DRONE OR RC AIRCRAFT INTO SHORTER RANGE OFF AND ABOUT 3KM IS ASKING FOR TROBBLE! LAST BUT NOT LEAST! The facts that CE mode effects the drones communication signal is in NO SENSE a good thing and creates more problems that it solves! So if you want to pull that safety card.....wel its better off just having its full power! Because lesser drones should then venture off in the horizon. Never to be seen again! Think before you respond.

i don't install the program. after APK start: "retreiving resource file failed. etc...". Maybe the DJI remove this files. Not correct

Henrik - thanks for sharing ... Mine is an FCC version within a EU zone country. Notice the transmission power is lowered so not able to get full range beyong 2 kms - although recently tested and got approx. 2 kms with parabolic antennas with patchy video. Meantime, wondering if the Fake GPS as shown in the setup procedure under APK 1.08 - if we need to switch off the data connection on the phone as well ?? What's the Drone Firmware you used and do you know if it also needs to be rolled back ?? and if so ... (how ?) Cheers
I used the latest firmware
Wanted to confirm the Hack worked on my FCC Mini in EU country using firmware mentioned and with the latest aircraft firmware. Also RTN was ok even with fake GPS on at a US location. But it Felt strange not being able to do compass cal bcoz drone is in flight when phone is connected. Results were before hack 500 - 700 meters at 70 meters height ... after hack 2000 meters at 70 meters height. Must remember to disconnect controller just before landing. Later tried fresh start up with mobile connected to see if it preserved setting but NO it didn’t and software automatically downloaded an update from Mobile Data to make setting conform back to the EU setting meaning reduce radio transmission strength and range. BTW for those worried about RTN location.... In the app you can update this during the flight to the current location which should ensure your drone flys back to where you are. Hope this helps !

Seems like this hack was still working until v1.1.3 only, but I've seen some comments that those lower versions have issues starting up or downloading databases. Seems like it's not working anymore.
I have a Mavic Mini and maybe I'll try it out later. I've been wondering why I begin to lose signal around 200m while it is rated for 2km. 😔

I used to fly in middle East countries just for vacation I can to india and was not able to go above 15m.
I still managed to take it above the limit by modifying parameters using drone hacks .com ,
Sometimes when it gets the gps and internet it's getting back to 15m limit as soon as I take it to other country it works fine

My mini is a CE version in Southern Africa. It doesn't show 5.8ghz channels, only 11 channels, not 13 just 11. Does this mean it's permanently in fcc mode?

i desperately need this for my mavic air 2 as its crap on range (1000meters max). im not paying for a modded app , i used to hack all my own drones just a shame dji made it so difficult on these newer models
