I've been studying Ruby 1) Initial approach 2) Around the post she goes 3) Standing on hind legs while emptying the bird feeder. 4) Parshly detaching the bird feeder and spilling the bird seed. Continuing to empty bird feeder 5) Getting down and policing up the deck. 6) Grateful walk by and descent of the steps. 7) Cleaning up the birdseed in the bushes. Ruby definitely has her routine down. Ruby is a very smooth bear. She definitely touched all the bases. Thank you Patrick
you forgot the SPECIAL: entering the porch via strenuous climbing up the railing, instead of taking the steps. That´s actually her identification mark, compared to the other bears on Patricks porch 🐻

I see that Bella had to add her 2 cents toward the end of the video, LOL. The bears don't seem phased by Bella's barking, but don't tell Bella. She's convinced that the bears are intimidated by her fierceness. 😁🐻🐻🐻💕
I love it that Ruby absolutely will not use the steps, and always does an acrobatic move around the pillar. An idiosyncratic bear marching to the beat of her very different drummer.
I read mama bears will often leave territory to their adult daughters, so I'm pretty sure Simone is letting Luca have Patrick's place and she won't be back. It's safer for her new cubs since if Luca is mating she'll be attracting male bears to the area who might hurt the cubs. The good news is next year we'll probably get to meet Simone's grandcubs!
I always love seeing Ruby climbing the railing. She is so precious 🥰. She tries so hard not to spill the seeds. I’m glad she had some on the porch to eat. Missing Simone and her babies 🙏🙏🙏

I love that they all know where to go to get the seeds , they literally know no one will hurt them , the kind man just watches and puts food out, they dont have to worry and therefore they can relax and eat. Its the perfect human and wild animal interaction. Ive said it before on the comments if the bears wanted to they could be aggressive and attack , but they know they dont have to. These are the rewards you get for having respect for the bears and just sitting in silence, all they want is food , no animal wants to fight unless they have to defend themselves or their young or they want to take territory. Im pretty sure most reactions by humans are the reason bears are killed or harmed.

Last week a baby bear was seen about a mile and a half away from my house! I love to see bears, but only at your house! 😂 I'm pretty shook up about the one that was seen here as I have a little dog.
I don’t know if Patrick constructed the Bird/Bear Seed Tray himself or whether it was purchased but it has stood up to so much bear interaction over the years that versions really should be offered for sale from this channel. Ruby and Simone are so graceful when climbing up and down from the bannister rail it always brings a smile, the public image for wild bears is completely at odds with the reality. It must almost be tempting to pet them but the unwritten rule between them all, of keeping a distance from a seated Patrick, is the key to this marvellous relationship
