I bought this phone 3 weeks ago and wow, totally impressed with it. I was not expecting it to be this good and very happy with the smooth scrolling, camera is very good, excellent screen, outstanding dual speakers and LONG battery life. When in a 5G area, this phone loads very fast. I'm coming from a Google Pixel 3a and this is a better all around phone.

I am glad that Motorola keeps the things I like & use.... I always use the SD Card.... & The Headphone jack.... I charge at night so I can use that 10- Charger...
I use the Chop Chop Flashlight at night... & The Twist to Camera for Cat Photos.... I use the Stylus for notes while reading & to jot down phone numbers or information that I'd normally have to search for paper & pen.... No Other Brand Gives me What I Need....

I have had it a few days coming from a Samsung fold 4 which I Ioved. . Lost my job and could not afford to pay $170 for a watch and phone at this time. Got straight talk and the moto G stylus for $150. I'm paying $45 compared to $170 a month. The phone is surprisingly good for what I need. My fold 4 was so advanced there was stuff on it I didn't even know I had. The moto G is surprisingly impressive .. especially for $150. I love that it's huge and it's quite zippy. I'm very happy with it

They should also add NFC on their cheaper models like Samsung did like no one should be forced to buy a flagship just to have nfc and other basic smart phone needs. That's what mainly kept me away from motorolas but they do have great batteries though!

Love this phone. Runs great. Fast applications transitions "I use developer mode to make it faster" stylus is actually really good. I like the. L notch and camera lense on front camera. Great resolution. 120hz. 5g obviously is amazing. First thing I did was ordered a screen protector set and case. As well as camera tempered glass. Motorola has seriously stepped their game up. I type really fast and this phone has no problem keeping up. 50MP camera actually pretty good. Android 12 update was crucial.

I have seen a lot people dissing on this phone and I can't understand for the life of me why (other than they are use to using a more expensive phone and thinking all phones should be like a 1500 one) I have this phone and have had no issues whatsoever, it takes beautiful pics and awesome videos. It offers more storage than I will ever need and it is a great gaming phone. I play a lot of games and even the heavy ones perform without lagging or glitching. The battery life on these phones are also great, mine will last me all day and night depending on what I am doing. Some say a con for this phone is the size, I however love the 6'8 screen, it's not too big and it's not too small, just right for me. The stylus is a plus also, letting me be creative and I love that. I am a huge Motorola fan and I really think they outdid themselves with this phone. All in all you can't go wrong with this phone, now that being said, ya can't come off using an iphone and then get on this phone and expect it to perform the same way as an iphone, this is not a 1500 dollar phone. This is a phone that is affordable and has excellent features for people who are not willing to sink the price of a car into a phone.

I picked up this phone at a MetrobyT-Mobile for under $300 (including tax) via upgrade. With 5,000 mAh battery and the well needed NFC (so useful living in NYC), and 6GB ram, it was worth the buy. I should be able to utilize this 5G phone for a few years.

@@beautyblk My previous phone was the Motorola Moto G Stylus (2020). From that perspective, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) is what I've been waiting for. I would NOT have paid retail price, but if you can get it for under $300 (w. tax included), you shouldn't be disappointed.
The plus for me are: NFC (not given in any of the previous models), battery life, 6GB RAM and 128 internal storage (available on Metro phones only, other carriers might have higher specs). The aesthetics of the phone looks premium. The body of the phone is not metal, but certainly not cheap looking.

Night Vision: The "switch to auto night vision" on the 2022 detects very well. However, the night mode camera on the 2022 version is not a big improvement over the 2020 version. In my opinion, if night mode is important to you, don't bother upgrading to 2022 for that function alone.

Actually Motorola has released two versions of the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022). The "unlocked" version includes 256 GB on the phone plus a 256 GB pre-installed SD card. However, the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) versions sold by some carriers includes just 128 GB storage. I could appreciate a comparison of the two or at least feedback. I actually love Motorola but the last year or two, they cut too many corners on their phones. Especially at this price range. Things like IP rating, OLED screen, dual speakers, a 700 series snapdragon chipset, NFC, more improved cameras and faster charging should all be standard features. Instead, most of their newer phones keep increasing in price while offering much less value for your money. Even from 2-3 years ago, they have been cutting corners but charging more. My opinion is if you are going to compete with budget to mid range phones then you have to get with 2022. It's unacceptable to charge so much and offer so little. And I can't believe after all this time Motorola only does one OS update and two years of security updates. When all their competitors are doing 3-5 years. It's why I wouldn't buy another newer Motorola until they put more effort into their devices.

@@TechDaily yeah I think 2020 was the year Motorola peaked too. Even some of their budget phones were 1080p and had dual speakers at a lower price. My favorite was the Moto E4. Got it on Verizon prepaid for $50. That was an unbeatable value. Because you got the Moto experience at a truly affordable price. Even the Moto g fast I'm using right now from 2020 was so much more value. It's a shame because loyal fans like me won't buy a newer Motorola device because like you pointed out is doesn't make sense. Motorola's strategy plain and simple looks like a cash grab which is sad.

IMHO Motorola is playing the "bait-n-switch" game. Here they are upping the storage/ram, adding 120Hz display, which sounds great until one looks at the rest of the spec's seeing it's essentially "same old". Feel their price increases are way over the top too all things considered. And when hitting the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) price range imo their security updates should be, at bare minimum, 3-years of monthly updates none of this bi-monthly garbage. So yeah totally agree with you Motorola hasn't entered the 2022 space yet not by a long shot.

Most young people are used to this but your older generation is not. not dogging this device you can get a old flagship note less than 499.99 better performance and more feature packed pen. For 499.99 I think Motorola could've slightly done better than what they put together. Putting a high refresh rate on phones and adding in a built in pen is not the cure all for me. I think 299.99 to maybe 350.00 should've been the asking price, now you got TCL in the stylus game now for 250.00 might put the chokehold on low cost stylus devices!

Except for the lack of stereo speakers would be an OK upgrade to my 2020 G Stylus. Yet here in Canada rumored price is anywhere from $640-$670 CAD and that right there stymies any thought of owning one especially considering little has changed on the Motorola's support front... For some reason past year and a half they delay releases here in Canada by literally months (when they choose to release something here that is) dunno why. OK, story goes Motorola "may" be offering an additional year of security patches yet they're supposedly still bi-monthly which is not even close to being good enough at this price range. Looks like we'll be hanging onto our $300 CAD 2020 G Stylus for a while longer yet.

Newest is still rockin same old display technology (w/bezels), stereo speakers are still absent. Nope the 256/8 combo imo just doesn't make up for those omissions, at its price point... Nor does the 256 SD card Motorola has thrown in as an added bonus.

The stereo speakers alone are quite something being some of the best (imo) in this price range. Actually, finding them to be far better than some of the other phone's I own w/stereo speakers, that cost 3-4 times more. No amount of extra storage/ram is going to make up for that omission on newer Moto's. Motorola really set the bar pretty high in 2020 with their budget phone's in terms of price vs value, been downhill ever since from my perspective.
