I’m experiencing the same feeling at work right now. The constant questioning of my intelligence while delivering the bare minimum! Can’t believe you said the exact thing I was thinking 😓
GIRL! I really needed this! I just quit my consulting job to take care of my mental health. Working long hours and never putting work took a toll in my body. My body told me to quit and I listened to it. I'm 22 years old and graduated college in 2019. I've been in my firm for 1 year and 3 months. Now I'm taking a break to see what the future holds. Thank you for this video! Very much needed! Tracy
Yeah unfortunately school doesn't prepare you for the work world at all. Having straight As doesn't mean your soul will be fulfilled wherever you end up. I did 10 yrs at a bank before I decided I absolutely hated it, took a year off and now I'm doing something else.
I had a very similar experience recently when I was working in corporate marketing. I asked for a raise and got retaliated against , so I just left. Currently taking a break from that and going on my own journey. This was a nice video to see that someone else was in a similar spot. Happy for your growth!
You are so honest, down to earth, and open. You are a brave person who is not blaming anyone else and you own your decisions and challenges, I wish you the best.
Thank you for the video. No struggles are "wasted" or "stupid". You learn more about yourself. I am also taking time off soon and this video is really timely. Knowing that people are putting health before work as well have lessened the guilt I feel for not working during my prime years. Take care and stay gorgeous
I’m so glad that the two year break has helped you so much!! I am in the process of quitting my first job and trying to figure myself out before i commit to another job that didn’t speak to me. Hearing your story was greatly inspiring
Gorgeous story!!!! Full support and lots of love! I quitted my 17 success story in corporate marketing ruining my life completely! Now on recovery stage....
Loved this video. Fantastic and charismatic delivery, and it came just in time. :) A loved one is considering taking a big career break for similar reasons, so I've been watching videos from brave people like you who have made the leap. Hopefully sharing this video and others will give her the strength to finally chose health above all!
I went through the same thing, left the prestige graduate program and moved to a more accepting team. I lost weight in that team and was able to take care of myself but no progression so I had to move to a new and more challenging one. This led to me going through the same cycle of self-sabotage and doing bare minimum again, gained weight and issues. I plan to leave this company soon for masters + freelancing. I hope I actually push through by the end of the year and find the inner peace I crave.
I'm 50, and I'm thinking of taking a career break at the end of this year. Might be a stupid idea I know, but I'm taking it anyway to look after my mental health. I'm losing sleep with anxiety and stress at work and I don't want to be an alcoholic just to get away from this mental state, so I'd rather quit my job. I know I'll struggle financially, so starting this month I'll start saving for a year being jobless.
This is such an important topic that is just not in focus enough here on TH-cam! Appreciate your sharing! Please do cover lots of aspects in details! Look forward to new videos!
Thank you for sharing this ❤️ I think a lot of people can relate and simply hearing another person’s story and how they came through it is enough to give hope to each of us 🙏🏼 Could you talk more about how you decided what to explore in your break?
Truly speaking my story is somewhat same to your story ....not at all enjoying my job but as every individual needs a corporate experience once in a lifetime just pushing it somehow
More power to you Brinda ! Can so relate to your struggle . Hv been in the same office atmosphere . So happy u found the path nd leading a meaningful life
So so happy for you Bri! I think ee've all seen the changes you've gone through via your social media and can only imagine the courage it's taken but all this that you've been through mentally, behind it makes this even a bigger win for you I'm sure!! Congratulations on everything you've achieved so far! MUCH MUCH MORE POWER TO YOU!! Much love!
I left my job, after 10 years in MNC job.. Now. Working on very tough accounting course.. It will take 1 year.. But felling very sad sometime and thinking will industry will understand these things or not. Pls. advise
@@phoenixwalker1669 yep .. I could have made some good money during those years but sometimes money is not everything. I enjoyed my time off from work.
You are such an huge inspiration to me . Lots of love . I have one more question. Do you followed keto to lose 45 kgs . I went through your instagram. All your meals was like a keto
So did you take some time off ? I took 2 years off in my early 30s… it was the best experience. Think and plan well during the time off. It’s a little hard to get back to work so make sure you think about multiple income steams, even if they are small.

you'll find your path Ani!

Good for you! ❤️ excited for your growth too
One of the few woman who didn’t blame all her problems on men. Good on you for talking accountability

I plan on doing the same, or might early retire. See how I feel after a couple years off.
RS C what did you end up doing? How’s it going?
Congrats! I think going for nutrition is a great idea. You can help so many people, just like you did for yourself. Glad you have found your path :)
