Man, what is the different with the two ic's are they different series or what, i just try to service it but the technician said i was wrong to bought the battery though? Sorry for bad english
That is the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact. I know it is the Z5 Compact because I am a long-time Sony user (from walkman cd players, headphones, ericssons, xperias, to mirrorless cameras) and I owned the Z compact series because I love compact form factor phones. Just looking at the frosted glass back panel in the first frame of this video I already know it's the Z5 Compact. Kindly change the title asap so people who are planning to repair their Xperia phones by themselves at home will have a successful repair and will thank you.
@@rickstechrepairs maybe you wouldnt believe this but somehow my backpanel already opened😂, can i use just some screwdriver for changing the battery? Just for simple tools
The battery has pushed it off in guessing You would need a small Phillips head screwdriver driver, and a pry tool to get the battery out. So it would be achievable
Doesn't match my experia z3 compact - mine has 5 screws to remove, not 8, and differences in detail from that point on.

Tip: It's good to warm the glue eg by hair blower from the other side.
always having the phone warm helps
my Sony Z3c had a problem with it battery, somehow it develop a bubble in it (battery) i hope i can fix it by myself
I find the z3c aren't that fun to work on as a first repair.
But I hope the video helps
@@rickstechrepairs do i really need some profesional tools?
What tools do you currently have
A hair dryer to soften the adhesive would help

it is not z3 compact
Wrong title display, it's listed Z5 not Z3???
opps
thats a Z5
Negative , it be a z3c
Its definitely Z5 compact.. Not a Z3 compact
Wery dangerous way of battery removal. There is 2 stripes with glue and you should simply remove it - that is all...
i find on the sonys the batterys never want to leave.
And those strips simply snap
@@rickstechrepairs if pull off motherboard from the case, you could find special things that you could pull down the adhesive under battery..
