"I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" was a creepy game from the depths of the mid 90's point and click adventure era. Freaky stuff Also a mention for Prey 2006, just for the creative bio horror that pretty much defined the era. Seemed that after Prey, games like Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 had their take on the style, in the Flood hive and the Giant worm respectively. Duke Nukem Forever arrived late to the party for its Alien hive level.
If you've ever read the short story the game was based on you'd know why it's even stranger how or why it got made into a game. Surprisingly the game is tamer than even the story was.
@@dainbramage781 Was definitely going to say the same thing. Another favourite of mine from my teen years was 'Day Million' if you haven't read that one.
I remember "Cho Aniki" standing out to me and many others back during the early days of the internet and wondering to ourselves "...is this a normal thing in Japan...?" only to realize later on that no, it's essentially what we'd call these days as a "shitpost" people made for the hell of it just to be trolls, also maybe to stand out in the market full of flying spaceships shooting swarms of enemies coming at you
Any of AakiraGoya's games come to mind with how strange and outlandish they can be. Angel at Dusk being the most recent releace. Another is of course the original Drakengard. When giant maneating babies start raining from the sky you might question if someone put drugs in your food.
Fun fact: Ice-Pick Lodge, developers of Pathologic and The Void, will be a familiar name to fans of Weirdest Games Ever as the studio behind Cargo! The Quest for Gravity.

Dunno. It just seems to me to be more like "10 games written by people who had at the time smoked more pot than Jeff Minter managed in a week..." Can’t wait for the Seaman Weirdest Games Ever multi-part episode
The one that comes to my mind is LSD dream emulator, avaiable in the first Playstation.
Games industry could do with more weird games and less over-produced trying too hard games.

"Buries the lead" is usually pronounced "Leed", as in "journalism lead".
But it's spelled "lede".
I thought that too, but Google has suggested the word lede is pronounced like the metal. 🤷

Dreamweb on the Amiga would've been a good choice. A cyberpunk point & click that tackles the main character's descent into madness

"Baroque" needs to be on this list
no LSD? though I guess you can describe that as more of an experience than game if you wanted
That's the game I was expecting to see here too lol

You need to play more messed up games then! 😆

Cactus Fetish: Unlocked 🔓 🌵 🎈🎈
I’ll give you “zed” but you can’t seriously turn “burying the lede” (as in leading) into burying the lead (as in the metal).
Hey Triple Jump, could you maybe do a "Worst Updates Ever" about the new TH-cam redesign?
did play a weird game where you fight with Pong battles and play a paddle
Frankie Goes To Hollywood on the ZX Spectrum
You guys should do a show about the weirdest games ever…

whats the name of the game at 00:29?

Time Warp Tickers is Elden Ring prequel CONFIRMED!
I think you meant to say, "buries the lead."
Gameranx just did this topic. I'm sure that's not a coincidence
Dude sounds like he should be the voiceover for Eurotrash or Transworld Sport.
Buries the LEAD (LED)? Do you mean lead as in LEED
Thank god fish aren’t into cash…
What did I just watch
Earliest I've been to one of these
Markiplier is enough to haunt my dreams
What's even scarier is I literally just watched a Markiplier video that randomly popped up on my home page and watched it. This video with your comment was the next one I watched
PO'ed. Anyone remember that weird-ass game?
I don't get it. What is weird about any of them?
👽
This voiceover is not fun to listen to
Let me tell ya something brotha... Don't watch the rest of his videos. He just sounds like that. All the time.
