Hour long tutorial... 57 min searching TH-cam for info I needed in tutorials, 3 minutes to learn everything I needed from your video. I should be so lucky.
Awesome! Thanks. One thing I noticed is that you can't use this adjustment layer over 3D layers. The CC Block Load effect gives you an error for some reason. So if you are getting an error, it's the 3D layer causing it. Try Precomping.
I'd seen it before and thought it was cool but never had the chance to use it, until tonight. Excellent tutorial and a very handy effect for the right situation.
That's a pretty nice tutorial! Thank you for that. I'm currently working on a pixel art-based streaming overlay and I'm sure that this tutorial will become useful for this project
5:20 what's the math behind ? I really couldn't figure out how the scan value of 3 translates the pixel to 8x8 perfect squares, when I tried to do it on 4k Comp, I couldn't create perfect pixel blocks.
Reaaaally good! especially the use of block load over mosaic! But why the grid, tbh never saw a pixelgame back in the day that looked liked that/had lines run through like that
When CC Block Load is set to 3 for scan, it creates 8x8 pixel blocks (I just counted the pixel width for one block.) Once I had that info, all I needed was to set the Grid to 1 pixel width and 8x8. 👍
great video I'm putting together a video on restoring my old amiga 2000hd and wanted to do a opening like this thanks again. may I send you a link once im done
Amazing tutorial! I have a question. Is there anyway to also include a "deflicker" to make the pixels freeze to be more like a spritesheet? Similiar to this plugin? th-cam.com/video/oD2z2R-rEvo/w-d-xo.html
That is so rad! But the project file is gone, dropbox shows me its prettiest 404 page when I click on it on PB, could you fix that? Also, very useful tut, we want more!
The Nes (8bit) has only 3 colors per palette of 8×8 pixels, The rotating Coins/Rings are wrong due to it having more then 3 colors, It has 6- So It isn't really 8-bit for those but actually 16 bit. (And the 3 too)
@@NullObjectVFX He said Mosaic is not as good because you have to do a calculation to get perfectly square pixels. The CC Block Load effect will automatically make the pixels square.
