I’m glad you weren’t injured too bad in that wreck. Great video. I’m pretty sure I want to buy this Sonata N-line in their red color. All I need to do is test drive one. Most of the reviews I’ve watched on them don’t say where they are at. They would show features I didn’t notice before, and I was confused why some had certain features but others didn’t. I finally learned that the ones in the U.S. don’t have all the features. And I just learned in these comments that the U.S. ones don’t have the cool light show like I’ve seen in some night videos. I’m disappointed about that!
Yes I did look at the K5! I chose the Sonata instead because I think the exterior and interior look far better than the K5, it didn't have that wow factor for me!
Hi, I just purchased the same color as yours. Quick question though, at 4:53, I noticed you have a trunk liner. I optioned for the carpeted mats and also the all weather mats, but there wasn't a liner in the trunk. Was that an option that you went for, or does the car come with that and my dealer just forgot to put it in? Thanks and great video. Having a big wreck, like you did ,can mess with you. It takes a little time to get over it.
Thank you I appreciate it! That's awesome enjoy the car. It was part of the carpet mats cost that came with the car, I would definitely talk to your dealer.
Some cars are shipped with it as an option, some aren't. Your window sticker will tell you if it was supposed to be on your car. Mine came with it, plus a first aid kit, roadside emergency kit, cargo net, and wheel locks. Even the floor mats are added cost.
At night, does it do a "Light Show" when starting or unlocking the car? Like near the headlights or tail lightbar? You should have a quick clip of that too! Thank you
Thanks for the comment! Eh I haven't seen any light show besides it will bounce to one side but once again I think international version does a whole light show.
Been considering this car since it was released in South Korea early last year. It's unfortunate that the US version doesn't get many of the features available in SK (turning signal blindspot cameras, rear passenger sun visors, rear passenger climate control, ventilated seats, remote control summon, finger print unlock). That being said, I'll probably still pick this up over the Camry and Accord
Yes but if you look at the Australian N Line version it has memory seats, heated steering wheel, and rear vents. IMO those should have been included on the US version also. That's what I meant and who wants a slow hybrid 😂
@chilldadreviews Everyone knows that the North American market always gets the shorthand of the stick when it comes to features. It's cost related and tariffs costs and politics talk. I'm sure the Korean market wants to give us all the fancy features. But unfortunately, it's not their call. It's goes the same way with American domestic cars when it's ships overseas. They will lose some features when it hit their shores.
@chilldadreviews What trim level was your 2017 Kia Optima? I had a 2012 EX with all the bells and whistles. But it wasn't a turbo charge engine. That could be the trade-off based on trim levels. There's a pattern with the US market vehicles. If you want performance, you will have to lose some of the creature comforts. If you have a base engine or hybrid, the luxury features are added on based on trim level and packaging.
Well the Elantra is more compact/smaller and I prefer mid sized sedans for the extra room. Also I personally feel the Sonata N suites my style and age.
Nice review. You mentioned quickly that the car is FWD only, which to me is the biggest mistake hyundai/kia has made on this car. For some reason, AWD is available on the 190hp trim, but not available on the top trim. Very disappointing for those of us who live in places where winter hits hard.
Nice review. I just bought one in Transmission Blue about a month ago. Did you say you could start the car through Blue Link? I can't figure out how to do that.
No, no! The speaker doesn't need to be in the middle. It's supposed to have a seamless look like BMW and Mercedes infotainment. That idea will just ruined to look.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 that’s a fabric panel and it’s in all US models. It has no functionality. It’s not a speaker like he stated in the video. It’s a button blank.
@elhinton4091 That's not the point of the argument. He wants to move it to the center. I don't care what it is. All I'm saying is that moving that part and putting it in the middle is crazy.
I feel you bro, my dad would always say you can't be late twice so stay safe and slow down.
Your dad is a wise man 👏🏾
Don't sit like that on cars it will cause marks on the paint.
Noted! Thanks for looking out for my baby 😋

Thank you! Yes I was pretty bummed about that also but still a nice car.
Did you consider a K5 GT when you were shopping? If so what were main drivers of you choosing Sonata over K5?
Yes I did look at the K5! I chose the Sonata instead because I think the exterior and interior look far better than the K5, it didn't have that wow factor for me!
I chose the K5 because of the style and the fact that it has rear ac/heat vents. The Hyundai was a close second but didn't cross the finish line.
@@kellyaustin7487I prefer the look of the K5 gt but it’s priced 4-5k then the Sonata at the dealerships near me
Surprising it doesn’t come with rear passenger climate. The sonata n line gets that in Canada. Also good to see you’re doing ok after your accident.
The 2034 model doesn't have the vents but the 2025 does

Well said and it's really unfortunate!
Im starting to feel like this is the best color. I was wanting transmission blue, but man portofino gray just looks so damn good...
Great car. I just bought one yesterday. Came from a 2018 Optima and I would choose the N line over a K5 again 🫡
Will you be looking to install rear vents? That's one of my few gripes about the car.
The 2025 model will have rear vents
Looks awesome! Wow
Nice car i have a accord sport 2.0t 18 I'm between tha car or k5 gt 25
I got the same color coming in a month.
Also, the features you are requesting are only on the Limited trim. N-Line is not the top model trim.

I don't think everyone knows this! However my previous 2017 Kia Optima had all these features so it's just odd to remove them from a premium model.

Thanks! Yes agreed they will lose potential customers in those cold winter climate areas.
Yeah that's a big misstep on Hyundais part...
Got one. Same color.
why this car looks better than Honda Accord? I mean Hyundai over Honda?? Am i going crazy or something??
You are not crazy and right now Hyundai's design is far superior than Honda!
I’m a Honda fan. But after I test drove the N. It will be my next car for sure!!! Gorgeous

I got one too and to set that up the dealers should’ve set it up for you especially setting up the password and digital key
@@Eseramses A few weeks ago the option to remote start appeared on my BlueLink app. I swear it wasn't there at first but all is well now.
