Finally someone who explains how to clean suede AFTER the waterproofing was applied! I am happy to hear that the spray wears off and you can still clean them. I believe I would not wax them for that reason.

Obviously this is only for indoor wear, but the suede is still constantly rubbing against the floor and picks up a lot of dirt. In addition, due to the need for flexibility, most designs cannot be welted, so it's not possible to replace the sole when it wears out. Do you have any specific advice on caring for suede in this kind of harsh environment, to extend the life of the suede as much as possible without sacrificing the sole's grip?

If you want heavy duty protection, Tarrago Nano Protector will do the job. It’s heavy duty though so it might be on there for a while. If you don’t need waterproofing, the renovator spray will do.

I thought that shoe trees prevent the surface from rigs, but is that a case of suede too?

Hey Samuel. Cigar has reddish tones with that dark brown so there’s no true 100% match but Havana and medium brown are good matches.
