Thanks for the video. I ordered strandmok and neumok in camel suede. I found the neumok to lean more casual: (1) the sole is 1/2 inch thicker, (2) the opening is unfinished (where strand has a leather piping), and (3) the top down silhouette of the neumok is more of a chisel shape where strand is a more classic dress shoe shape.
Hello, I might have to do a video on this to capture the sound of walking with heel protectors :). It does make a bit of a different sound, but most dress shoes make a distinct sound already. As far of does it feel weird - if you get the larger ones it doesn't feel weird to me. I can only get them on Amazon. The ones at my local store are narrower and those definitely it is not the best walking sensation. As far as slip - I always try to recess the nail as much as I can so it is the plastic hitting the pavement and have no problem. When they start wearing out and you start hitting the nail(s) sometimes you do feel a bit of a slip and might be time to replace the protectors. Hope that helps! I would like to encourage any other readers to also share your experience with heel protectors, thanks!
Love the Strandmok, and the Neumok. Own both. However...the green leather...has gots to go. My suggestion...is dye them black. (Or chunk them in the basura). Lol. Just kidding. If green is your thing...give it a fling. 😎
Hmmmm...and why exactly, can one not put a heel protector on a Dainite Sole? Because of the "smiley thing", already on the Dainite Sole? Lol. Why should that stop you? Lol. Of course you CAN put a heel protector...on a Dainite Sole. Perfectly...doable. Ask any Cobbler. They would be happy to nail a heel protector right on top of that "smiley thing".
You can put a heel protector on the smile portion of the Dainite heel.
I love my strandmoks. I have 3 pairs and they are the perfect all day shoe, IMO.
Enjoy! what color are they?

How does it feel to walk with the heel protectors? Did it make a sound? How's the traction?
