I showed this game to a friend after I got it since he's into Sonic games. At first he dismissed it as a Sonic knockoff. But then he played it and concluded no, it's not a knockoff, it's in the mold of it but still has an identity of its own. He's now one of the game's biggest fans and eagerly awaiting the sequel. Also, he's watched videos like this and been totally blown away. He pointed me to this video as an example of "someone who owns Freedom Planet inside-out."

He did exploit some glitches though. If those achievements take into account that one won't abuse glitches, then they are fair. The tricks that the game aknowledges, like Lilac the switch skipper and freefaller are taken into account, I'm sure.
@@DiogoJ1 The glitches don't save as much time as they look like they do (e.g. the wrongwarp in Fortune Night only saves 8 seconds). Even without them you can still more than halve the achievement times. That said, those times aren't meant to be things that take months of practice to achieve, so they're fair.

I've only just realised that first and second stages of final boss have indication of their HP via green and orange energy bars near the Kingdom Stone. They're on the background, but they're indicating it.

My fastest time on Dragon Valley is 4:25:57 I'm hoping one day to be be able to run this game well. I speed run Super Mario World personally but want another game to run and this one is a lot of fun.
So according to the _Freedom Planet_ Wiki, while Lilac's top speed still remains a mystery, the Wiki itself states that "At top speed, she is able to outrun speeding vehicles and gunfire.". Bullets travel at 1,800 MPH. Take this information and take the time to process it.
Kill the bulldozer, let it land, and bonk off of its corpse with a boost. That makes you pass the screen transition, bounce back over it, then pass it again, which, for some reason noone understands, spawns you further into the next screen than usual. Saves about 8 seconds. As long as you kill the bulldozer at the first opportunity and allow it to finish bouncing along before you boost into it, it's really easy and consistent to pull off. Milla has an easier time doing it, because she can just hold a block, jump towards the screen transition, and recoil back over it; no need to deal with the enemy at all.
I found a skip where I teleported to milla's first cutscene area (with the owo stump) by skipping one of the first cutscenes with the pause menu as carol, which took me to fortune night
I've never been able to replicate that air roll jump you do where you're somehow able to maintain your momentum. Is it really tight of a window to pull it off right?
