    I saw this unit at the Tampa RV show last weekend and really liked it. Great couples coach! Only change I would make is raising the microwave but not a deal-breaker for us.

    We have this model, a 2023. We did our research and it IS a great couples RV. Easy to drive along with all that driver tech and storage ❤

    Great walkthrough, in the cockpit are their privacy shades for the front and side windows? what about the rest of the windows I'm guessing there are night shades. How do the windows open? are there screens to keep bugs out. Thank you.

      Thanks for watching! Yes, shades all around. And any window that does open, which is most of them, you will absolutely find screens.

    For this model 24KB, what are the differences between the Compass vs Gemini ??

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually a really good question. I don't think we've ever had both on the lot at the same time to take a close look. However, looking on Thor's website, aside from the paintjobs, the spec sheet is exactly the same and the MSRP is the same too.
      I'd wager to say that for most intents and purposes, they should provide a very similar experience on a trip. Guess we'll have to make a video comparing them next time we get them in 😉

    Where is the generator? How do you start it etc?

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generator is built into the chassis, essentially. So, you'll find it in the "basement" storage on the driver side. Controls to start and stop are inside the coach. You can see the LCD screen that includes all your controls around 3:39 - left side of viewing, mounted on wall as you go walk into the coach. Thanks for watching!

    Does it have solar, what kind of house batteries, and can current set up be made lithium and expandable

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is a 100W solar panel on the roof and a 12V lithium house battery. As far as adding additional lithium, I'm unsure. It doesn't seem like anyone's done it on the Thor forums either. Hope this helps!

    • @CC-gt3ro
      @CC-gt3ro 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jameslisterman it is their weak point. They need to provide minimum 270ah and 400w solar panels with an mppt controler. In 2025, their current systems is not acceptable. Leisure Travel Van, after many request i sent to them, finally took the right components with 540ah self heating battery, 3000w inverter, aventa a/c eco with soft start, and mppt controller and 400w. Thor must do the same.
      You cannot do off grid with their systems except if you bring your oen Bluetti AC200L with 420w bluetti panel and use the RV 30A to provide energy to the Thor but you will need also a dual alternator to charge the battery when driving. It is more complex to resolve, Thor should provide a decent electrical systems in 2025. All the other stuff is very good. Only one weak point to resolve.

    I thought 3 could sleep in this model…did I miss something? Does the couch turn into a bed also?

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you have a jack-knife sofa that folds down into a bed!

    A few questions:
    1. Is the Ford gas or diesel?
    2. Are there any 110 or 12v outlets near the head of the bed?
    3. Is the coach AGM or Lithium?
    Thank you. Nice walk-through.

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Gasoline
      2. Yes, you'll find several power outlets in and around the overhead cabinets
      3. The coach is lithium
      Hope this helps!

    CAN automatic levelers be added ..aftermarket OK...?

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it would seem that it is possible to add auto levelers to this. Not through Thor though. So it would indeed have to be aftermarket. Owners on the various RV forums seem to like them!

    I like the size of this coach but that microwave below the stove burners is a deal breaker- too old to be bending that low to nuke something. If it was above the stove this would be a contender to think about.

    It doesn't have an over the cab bunk. What good is a class C without an over cab bunk ? It defeats the entire purpose.

    • @jonmclane5928
      @jonmclane5928 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not a Class C, its a B+

    • @BeckleysRV
      @BeckleysRV  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the technical answer is been up for debate for a very long time. Class C on the manufacturer level is really meant to classify a "cut away chassis" - its a cab only chassis with raw frame behind the cab seats and allow the RV manufacturer to build the box, regardless of the box shape. Class B is the full vehicle from the chassis manufacturer and then the RV manufacturer outfits the inside. We are still in between and like to have that B+ naming convention to at least offer a way to differentiate them all in RV searches. Thanks for watching!
