I have not been active for a year plus, it seem's ARTISAN has moved forward , if I see it correctly , you have the tool to "create flat" areas that I so much needed ,I new it would arrive someday and you would consider the flat edge grading , if my thinking was correct , there is now nothing you cannot draw , I look forward to creating with it again,, overview is to sculpt as an artist yet be able to work with precision measurements ,, not having tried it yet , do you have push pull offset measurements to hand ,Jon .

Artisan Paint Brush start projecting VU from starting point of Paint Brush. it's a not a good solution of Advanced UV Mapping. ThruPaint or SketchUV plugins are better option.
yes, Artisan gives more modeling feature like sculpting tools, soft selection, paint, etc but its subdivision mode is destructive it's mean you can't get your low poly model back unless you make a copy of it or using undo command. on the other hand, Subd provides non-destructive parametric subdivision modeling you can toggle between low poly and high poly model by clicking on just one button. and it doesn't offer other modeling tools
Is there any point to watching 5 year old sketchup tutorials? lol the 'settings' at 4:28 to 'update subsurface' is completely missing now in my sketchup. Even when I uninstall the plugin and reinstall it and restart sketchup 2023 pro.

Okay but how do I fix a terrain that already has a texture asigned on it without deforming the texture?
Sort the terrain and then use image projection to put the texture back on?

Artisan tray or Sketchup's Tray because as far I know artisan has no tray or are you talking about toolbar?

no it's work fine on smooth edges make sure you not use sculpting tool on a group or component.

it is not working , not sure how to creat mesh, i tried to creat mesh by sand box bit it does not work on created mesh eaither
explode the sandbox mesh group or go inside the group and then use Sculpting tool or others.
Need to actually show what you're clicking and typing. Very hard to follow without narration.
