Admittedly didn't expect to see Ishai on here just because I assumed everyone already knew he was busted lmao Aerial Extortionist also goes extremely hard, birds stay winning tbh
Love to see the Adeline love, in video and comments. I locked onto her during preview season and had her built super fast and still do and I love her. She is really good at pushing a hyper offense strat with control, protection, and sustainability especially as white keeps getting strong token support. While big bodies are easy to overrate at times, throwing 16 or so commander damage turn 4 is actually bonkers
I played Painful Quandary against 3 Izzet spell slinger decks, and it hella over-performs. It was removed after one rotation, but by that time, they were all under 10 life while I was sitting at 37.
Breach the Multiverse is one of my big spells to copy in my Anhelo, the Painter deck. It puts you firmly in the drivers seat when you get 8 permanents and 5+ etb effects for 7 mana.
I love vicious shadows and painful quandary in my Nekusar deck. Vicious shadows for the obvious reasons, but I like painful quandary because if Nekusar is built around forcing extra draws then I want to have cards that punish opponents for trying to play their hand. I would definitely put Kambal in there too if the colors lined up
Honestly think it's kind of incredible to think you haven't played a Pokemon game, Beezy. Maybe I'm of the age where it was THE game to play as a kid, but even as an adult I go back to them frequently
I run Painful Quandry in my Tegrid, God of Salt deck. It turns the game into solitaire. I dont run Cathar's Crusade because it can take forever to resolve in a go wide tokens deck.
I'm making an artifact token deck that is going to run time sieve, it would be so fun to be able to take an extra turn and then copy that activated ability for just two more mana with Lithoform ;)
8:36 but ... what if you blink the Aerial Extortionist while a card is exiled? Did the exiled card "fail to keep its object reference" and therefore the owner will never be able to cast it? That should be true since blinking a creature (any permanent) creates a brand new "instance", therefore the "old A.E. , the one that exiled the permanent C" should have ceased to exist.
Aerial Extortionist is not like an Oblivion Ring where the exiled card specifically refers to the permanent being on the battlefield. Aerial Extortionist says the card is exiled, but it's owner can cast it as long as it's exiled, no matter what happens to Aerial Extortionist
@@Buberte ok so it works as a "lingering effect", I mean it's not an "allowance" granted by a static effect provided by AE, its something that is grant to the exiled card and, then, strictly linked to that exiled card only. Nice :D thanks you all ^^
My son made me my first deck, krenko, mob boss, obvoiusly gobbos. What recommendations would you suggest(ive added quire a few) to include, so i can whoop his @ss with it?
The nitpicking nerds made a video called 'a guide to goblins' a long time ago, but i think everything in that video probably still applies today And you could check out Edhrec to see what others are playing, but I wouldn't recommend copying the whole list fron there Rundvelt Hordemaster is amazing
I might try Aerial Extortionist in my Liesa deck! Just making people replay spells with the life tax and slowing the game down feels good, let alone the card draw.
My takes: Vicious shadows - It'd be nice if we could get to 7 mana at my table just once. Ishai, Ojutai dragonspeaker - I can confirm. Managorger, Taurean and Sunscorch are all overperformers. Lithoform engine - The card has a decent value beyond being mythic. It's devastating in decks that already have huge trigger payoffs like Zur the Enchanter. Aerial extortionist - The second ability is nice, but coming at 5 mana is a bit too late for me. Teferi, master of time - He's good because he's basically +4 each lap around the table. This deters a lot of small hitters, on top of the filtering effect. Rishkar expertise - Just yes. Kambal, consul of allocation - "Oh, it's only noncreature spells" until they lose 10 life each. It's that great. Painful Quandary - In my Tourach discard deck this won me games by forfeit. It's just soul crushing. Breach the multiverse - It's even better when you make your opponents discard the good 8+ mana cards they won't have time to cast anyway. Adeline, respendent cathar - Not an overperformer. She performs exactly as you would expect. That is still A LOT.
It's separated. If you both of your commanders each dealt 20 damage to someone, nothing happens (except if they're at 0 obviously) but if any one of them dealt 21 to someone, they're dead, no matter how much the other commander dealt
Vilis performs far better than i expected when i built him as a commander. Any burn spell, attack into you, paying life to cast spells, anything that causes you to lose life just becomes massively beneficial. And it even had the added benefit of having underworld dreams go infinite against my opponent when they used machine gods effagy to copy vilis. They entered an infinite life loss and draw loop that couldn't be stopped because one of their other permanents made them draw a card whenever they cast a spell, so even if they could remove their own permanent or my underworld dreams it would've just triggered another draw while it was still on the stack and pinged them for a point triggering infinite draw/life loss all over again. They never cloned my Vilis again lol.. 😂🤣
Im confused about Teferi, i havent played with or against it, but from what i can gather it should still only be able to activate its planeswalker abilities once every turn cycle, just like every other planeswalker. People online seem to be saying it can activate on every players turn, but i dont know the rule that allows this. Even Gatherer says "Teferi's first ability doesn't change how many of his abilities you can activate during each turn." which to me indicates that "you get to use this once every turn cycle, just like other planeswalkers". I sort of believe that everyone else is more likely right, but can someone show me the rule that indicates it happens on every turn? Not just every turn cycle?
306.5d Each planeswalker has a number of loyalty abilities, which are activated abilities with loyalty symbols in their costs. Loyalty abilities follow special rules: A player may activate a loyalty ability of a permanent they control any time they have priority and the stack is empty during a main phase of their turn, but only if none of that permanent’s loyalty abilities have been activated that turn. See rule 606, “Loyalty Abilities.”
Breach the Multiverse is NOT fun. It got played a few times in our group and we quickly realized how broken it is. Then, everyone starts tutoring for it, plays it, recurs it, copies it. Otherwise, everyone holds up counter spells the moment someone approaches Breach mana. Every game is just the same until we eventually house-banned it.
Here's my favorite Tefferi stories. Table let me keep the trferri, cause I kept phasing Koma during koma's upkeep. Other favorite story. Turned Tefferi into an artifact. Animated my artifact. Equiped boots on Tefferi and laugh.
Ok... I knew there was a reason I've always disliked beezy's opinion. Who hasn't played pokemon and thinks it's cook 😂😂😂 also Mia being a water starter chooser like me says a lot about why I'm still here to listen to her opinion 😂😂😂😂
Made my gf an ISHAI deck. She said I don't want to think hard. I said, 'I gotchyu'. Ran the partner that spread out the combat dmg to all players. Someone's gonna not have flying blockers.
Krenko Mob Boss neither overperforms, or underperforms. He performs exactly as he needs to (by creating a metric crapton of goblins)
He created Miso, a 1/1 goblin
I feel this about Captain Lanary Storm. Does exactly what it should do and does it well
You sound like gandalf when he was talking about the timing of a wizard 😅
#zadaisthebestgoblincommander #zadaeatskrenkoforbreakfast
Ghostly Pilferer is my favorite under the radar card.
Admittedly didn't expect to see Ishai on here just because I assumed everyone already knew he was busted lmao

Birds best creature type?
New clickbait idea just dropped
Bird is the word ;p

I love these episodes, I always find random new stuff for decks that I either forgot about or never caught when they came out
Super glad to offer inspiration!
Kambal was my first ever commander (just a black white deck thrown together) and he always showed out, so it's nice to see some respect thrown his way
I run kambal in my Ratadrabik deck… he really shines when you copy him multiple times 😅
One thing that has never over performed is me guessing the Moxfield ad at 16:44, especially since it's the 48th day I've guessed
Maybe someday 😂

5:03 My how the times have changed. It used to be that being a legendary creature was considered a down side. Now it’s the reverse.
Unwinding clock in Shorikai always gives me such value, and is constantly the best card i've played in the game.
Breach the Multiverse is one of the top 3 spells in my Saruman of Many Colors deck. I don't think I've ever lost a game where it resolved.

kambal kinda sits there not being scary then you're at 10 life and "oh shit, 5 spells and i die"
I like putting painful quandary in my black decks. It definitly not the best card but it annoys every opponent so they keep overfocusing the card

Viscious Shadows is a great include for an Adamaro, First to Desire deck due to the card draw theme. Could be brutal.
Oh Painful Quandary is my Absolute favorite card in my Tatsunari Enchantments deck. I love being the person saying, will you pay the 5? 😂
I was playing slimefoot and squee and was hellbent for 2 turns in a row. Too decked breach the multiverse and won that turn.

Ok, dang, did not realize Adeline triggers on any of your attacks. I thought she had to attack!
She’s super great!
Thank you.. kaereveck the merciless is a card worth mentioning.. it's very game warping even politically
Kambul is SO GOOD
Aerial extortionist is a bomb in my Rocco street chef deck.
I played against Aerial Extortionist this weekend and it was brutal
Lithoform engine has done so much work for me I put it in any deck I can make it fit
Breach the Multiverse goes into almost every black deck I have.

I'm so happy you like it! 💖
Vicious Shadows is a nice pick ⛏️
That's going right into my Enchantment tribal Kykar deck
Necropotence and vicious shadows with a sac outlet is probably mean
Surprised you didn’t mention lithoform being able to copy Teferi master of time’s ultimate to gain 4 extra turns
Teferi and oath of Teferi are so brutal together
I’ve never seen Vicious Shadows before. I think that’ll go great in my Nekusar deck! 🤣😈
I play Aerial Extortionist in my Cascade Deck, to bounce my Cascade Creatures like Apex Devestator
I had fun playing Jeska/Ishai (Jeskai), it was surprisingly effective.
my Ashaya loves power based card draws

so.... dumb question. when it comes to commander damage ig you have 2 commanders do both have to hit for 21 or is it combined/Shared??
It's separated. If you both of your commanders each dealt 20 damage to someone, nothing happens (except if they're at 0 obviously) but if any one of them dealt 21 to someone, they're dead, no matter how much the other commander dealt

Vicious shadows is our pick if you can only put one!
Thank you.. kaereveck the merciless is a card worth mentioning.. it's very game warping even politically
Ghostly pilferer is a great card too. 2 cmc 2/1 + draw in opponents commanders casts.
LOVE that dude
Man I would have loved to play w/ you guys, proceed to lose horribly and get an Amber token memento
I had vicious shadows in nekhuzar but its just too expensive for mana so i cant get it out
That whole moxfield home depot bit was legitimately hilarious
Ishai takes over games every time I play it!!!
I use Aerial Extortionist and Lithoform in my Prowl deck. They do work
I have a feeling that here soon, the nerds will be the first ones to tell me happy birfday lol :)
Kambal is my lifegain commander and I love it :)
lithoform + any planeswalker ultimate ;)
Moxfield ad at 25:29 seconds. My second guess ever. And i have just seen the video isnt 25 minutes. Oh dear

Krenko is consistent. But Muxus is king gobbo
7 mana cards can’t over perform. If you spent 7 mana anything short of winning the game is an underperformance
