Great to see real athletes on television. With the lack of live sport this summer, I am really looking forward to Sky's coverage of the (socially distanced) UK stone/paper/scissors championship.
This is the most surreal insane TV show that could only be shown in the 70s, Fred Trueman a superb host pipe pint and flat northern accent, wonderful pub games comb overs Bri Nylon shirts and womens darts! For me, this is TV heaven....I'll se thee.
Producer Sid Waddell! Priceless! Mind you, this must be a very rare clip. Every time I saw Indoor League, Fred finished the show saying "I'll see thee"!
The beginning of each show saw FF saying "nah then", at the start of the second half it was "ay-up" and of course the very end came the legendary "ahl si thi!"
Sadly it was way before my time, but they had a phase of showing this on soccer am back in the glory days with the Lovejoy & Chamberlin partnership. See thee next week Fred.
Perhaps even more startling than the nail biting finish to the Shove Ha'penny final is Fred Truemans highly controversial claim that the First World War took place in the 1920s.
I got told that his parting shot on t'Indoor League was '"I'll see thee!" - this was about five years ago and it was my then team leader Mark Smallwood who told me. What bollocks! The one-time fast bowler may have been a Yorkshire lad (he says mocking a Yorkshire accent) but when it came to bidding the viewers goodbye he said, "I'll see you next week".

When I occasionally watch old youtube vids, your comment never fails to put a smile on me boat. And that theme tune.

0:39 - 0:45 OK, we get it, mate. You're a Yorkshireman.
But you don't have to overdo it.

Why wasn't shove 'apenny in the Olympics?
THIS is how they should settle football matches, instead of penalties, especially if England's playing...
Yeah with Table Skittles I'll see thee🤣🤣😂😂👍
Makes you proud to be British 🤣
The days when nobody got stabbed up on a daily basis... But least we don't say anything bad anymore, that's the main thing...
Fred Trueman was a great bowler, but he can't play table skittles! Just watch him at the end
If only Peter Senior had stuck at shove ha'penney who knows where he'd be now?
New version shove quid... - hardly out of his nappies freds got a way with words......
"I didn't count. Who counts?"

barbara cortina He didn't say it on every show you idiot.
i wouldn't call you an idiot as the below did, but he often ended with 'i'll see thee' and opened with 'how do?'' and 'nah then'
What the hell are these guys saying? Is this English?
Different dialects from the northern half of England.
It's Yorkshire lad...
