Tbh, a Razer board in red doesn't look that bad. I mean, they already had the DAV3 Faker Edition and that turned out really good. I just don't like it when they add the "color tax."
i asked them about the whole $10 extra for a white version and its actually got to do with the way they paint it, it cost extra and they reflect it in the price. weirdly enough, the white version also sounds different and slightly deeper because of the extra coating.

Most custom keyboards have that rule. Why should they take it out of their wallet if somebody inexperienced messes up while trying to mod the keyboard. Up to us to do our research and do it right imo

What if someone as smart as you(not very smart) snapped their PCB in half. You want raxer to reimburse them? Does that sound very fair to you? But, if a switch randomly died, sure razer should replace it

Very "smart" of you to think a person like me who is into custom keyboards don't know whether a warranty is voided or not once PCB is snapped in half.
There's a reason why keyboard companies only have warranty for the PCB, not the whole keyboard. Because they're intended to be customized to suit the customer's preference. Razer should only apply warranties to the PCB of their boards. What if after several modding attempts you manage to loosen one screwhead where the tip of the screwdriver goes? You can't have Razer replace it for you, since they'll know you modded it even though you did not break anything else.
gaming peripheral companies listening to the market is what i like to see! don't be surprised when more kb companies start getting more aftermarket savvy. either way, we get better kbs stock so win-win!

You are a real professional when it comes to keyboards and your reviews are sooo good. I really need the advice of a very knowleadgable person in keyboards like you. I bought the razer huntsman mini and then I heard of the woothing 60e.
I want to say that I have really low experience with expensive keyboards but for whatever reason my vulcan roccat tkl feels nicer and more premium on touch - could be the back, the case etc, maybe its because its plastic and its more user friendly? than the razer huntsman mini. (i have the purple switches on my razer and no analog ones atm) - paid 120$ for it. My question is, if I buy the woothing do you think it will be a change in percieved build quality since I head its made by plastic? Is it worth doing the upgrade? The most important things for me is performance and build quality. (woothing is 180$ in my country) - I am really sorry for the off topic but I think it helps you with the algorithm too

Seems a little silly that a keyboard marketed as "moddable" aka disassembling it and changing it, would be voided of warranty when you do just that.
i swear im not paid to say this, but almost all custom keyboard’s warranty gets voided the moment you open it and tamper with the internals. it is a bummer that the warranty is voided but hey razer is heading in the right direction listening to the community and im all for it

@@SquashyBoy Depending on the jurisdiction, that's not the case. In the US, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act specifically states that the onus is on the manufacturer to prove that the modification by the user caused the issue, therefore deny warranty.
Warranty void if removed stickers, or similar, are considered by US government, via case law, cannot be a bar to say that a warranty is to be denied if removed.

This keyboard is better out of the box than the GMMK Pro out of the box. Of course this is my opinion, but I truly instantly fell in love with this keyboard straight out of the box. I probably won't be changing a thing about it.
