- Skyrim is game with so much to keep the player busy. Even after defeating Alduin The Elder Scrolls 5 will keep the player for quite some time. But six years after Skyrim’s release, one may finally be looking for something new. So today we’ll be taking a look at five more things you probably didn’t know you could do in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

During the quest "The Way of the Voice" when Wulfgar demonstrates his Whirlwind Sprint shout, it is possible to hit him with paralysis mid-shout, thus causing him to fly off of the mountain

When the bard says that he performed the entirety of the Poetic Edda, it's actually a lot more impressive than "Just a piece of music"
The Poetic Edda is a real world compilation of ancient Nordic/Icelandic tales that is insanely long with poems included that have been known to cause performers to collapse from exhaustion if recited without break.
In other words, this dude could have been performing for days before he made his jump
He quite possibly simply fell off the edge from exhaustion after uttering the very last verse. I'd imagine that wouldn't let him prepare his jump very well.
My favorite part is when Stella the Demon Cow is ravaging the countryside, so Ivar the Boneless gets carried into battle on a shield by his brothers and defeats her. Yep, that's really in there.
Well it's good to know that running into Forsworn Briarhearts having the Paralysis Pickpocket combo makes for an easy fight!
I've actually accomplished that with high sneak. Or invisibility, but that's assuming you're playing an illusion character.
I find walking up to them, being like "Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm your friendly neighborhood Dovahkiin!"
And proceeding to smash them into meat jelly a much easier fight.
And more importantly...actually a fight. Instead of just stealing someone's heart literally out of their chest. But. Just how I roll, I guess.

Reminds me of when I found an Imperial guard in the dark brotherhood lair in Dawnstar. He even said the whole "I know who you are" line.
Those crazy elk. Everytime I leave the mine in shor's stone I see one exiting the blacksmith's home. Ha
A few weeks ago, I had a Stormcloak courier run through Imperial-controlled Riften. She went from the southern gate and was shot dead just at the northern. Then I had one Thalmor + prisoner (yes, one, because I killed the others shortly before coming there) come /through/ Riften as well. When they found the Stormcloak's corpse, the Thalmor said "Oh... what happened?" and the prisoner "I'm going to find whoever did this".

Something i found quite amusing in the Dawnguard DLC was with Serana while in the Forgotten Vale. If you swim to close to one of the waterfalls, she'll warn you not to go to close...then get quite snarky after you go down it anyway.

I believe that Bard's Leap is also a reference to the Assassin's Creed games. as nearby there is a eagle that will fly round the platform just as eagles do for the Leaps of Faith in the AC games. Skyrim also pokes fun at leaps since the ghost tells you that you are the first to survive in a long time.
A jab at how crazy it is that in the AC games you can jump from incredible heights into a bail of hay and survive.

Personally, I somewhat like it. The racial tension adds character to the people and races of Skyrim/Tamriel as a whole, especially people trying to balance races. Plus, having HEs not just be sort of snooty, beautiful, perfect people makes the HEs which aren't like that a lot more interesting, in my opinion.
Every race in Skyrim- that race is so racist and I want them out of our country!

maybe the Bounty is less because the bribe was basically extortion, and the guard was going to pocket the extra 40, whereas the Bounty itself was an actual legally-binding bureaucratic thing.

And also, being arrested or paying the fine means goodbye to your stolen itens, so I think the extra gold is to keep the guard from going through your "belongings"
ProfessorShroom in the lore sense, the reason the bribe is more is because maybe if you don’t take the bribe, you will legally have a criminal record, and for the sake of immersion, no citizen wants that.

That Paralysis augmentation to Pickpocketing skill is something I'd never considered... I may have to try that out next time my Dragonborn is down Riften way. Thank you, Mr. Nate! :)
There’s one thing I don’t get, I tried using the paralysis spell on people in Whiterun, Riften, and Winterhold, but it wont let me view their inventories when I activate them, instead, I get guards attacking the paralyzed victim. (which was honestly, quite enjoyable to watch) Is there a trick to the paralyze pickpocket technique?

I just learned that after you convince Ulfric to join the peace counsel, he walks all the way to High Hrothgar. I walked the whole way with him. If he gets into combat, he'll shout. I found that to be a fun fact.

There are 10 draugr encased in stalhrim, located north west of white ridge barrow, directly east of Broken Tusk Mine, and South West of Saering's Watch (almost directly North of Raven Rock) on the map its an area surrounded by cliffsides that has one visible entrance. Id post a photo of the map but I can't. It has no name or marking on the map

I think that a fine of ten gold vs a bribe of 50 does in fact make perfect sense as those guards sure will shove the extra 40 gold in their own pockets.
Mead doesn't come easy these days and a guards payment isn't as high as the income of your average Dragonborn.
I think he meant more that it didn't make sense from a player choosing to pay the bribe perspective, since the fine for refusing is 1/5 of the bribe.....

@@Gamer3427 But Nate only knew it was 10g because he refused the offer. The guard didn't tell him how high the bounty would be until after Nate declined it. The guard was just trying to trick the player.

The tip with the paralysis spell can actually be performed without getting detected. You simply need to invest into a perk called "Quiet Casting", in the Alteration skill tree. Basically, what this perk does it tha it legit mutes every single spell an shout you cast. So yes, it is indeed possible to *murder someone to death* with a fire spell and not get detected. Therefore, using the paralysis spell in stealth and stealing all their shit is possible... without getting detected.
Gamer's International Agency (G.I.A) that perk is actually in the illusion skill tree, with a requirement of 50. But, still, excellent point.
Yeah, thank you for correcting me. I never play mages but I remember that there is a perk like that since two thousand eleven, when I started playing the game, haha.

I have a little fun fact you haven't mentioned in your videos yet. In the lake Illinalta, south from Whiterun, there are some nordic tomb things buried underwater guarded by slaughterfish. There's also a shipwreck somewhere.

Hey, one you might like to add. In the Mage Collage quest line you are asked to raise a ward spell and defend youself. You can instead use the dwarven shield that brings up a magic resistance ward.
So, does this mean I can make Serana activate a shrine of Mara, so she will recieve the godesses' blessing and agree to marry me?
Also, Talos is a god, he is a Divine. Oblivions' Knights of the Nine DLC is proof of this.
Don't you need her to be wearing a *Necklace* of Mara for that to work?

In The Elder Scrolls Universe it takes worshipping to make a god remain a god. The 9 Divines were the ones who gave their power to shape Nirn and all its life and continents (Tamriel being one of those continents, Akavir being another, although we've never visited the other. Only heard stories about it. Same goes for Atmora and Yokuda, although the two latter are lost continents). The 9 Divines are only divine because of the amount of worshippers they each have. In TES lore, a divine cannot stay a god, if no one worships them as all their divine power would be drained slowly and in the end they would fade into nothingness. The Thalmor knows this and hopes that by outlawing Talos worshipping, they can effectively kill a god. The Thalmor hates Talos purely because he's a human god and to them, that's wrong cause they see themselves as being living gods who were forgotten (which is partially true, since all men and mer (ie Dunmer, Dwemer, Altmer, Bosmer, etc. are Mer people or elves as they're also known) are from the few divines who lost all of their power. The 9 Divines just lost the majority and all the holes in the skies are from the beings who tried to escape with the Sun being the largest hole and a hole torn by the architect god of Magnus, whose magical eye we find in the College of Winterhold quest line in Skyrim).
That was a very messy explanation, but I hope it clears some things up :)

I just tried to do the paralysis trick, idk if it exactly works, i used paralyze on the NPC that gave me the option to pickpocket them, and they just got hostile, wouldnt even let me use them as a chest or take their items, i shall try it on a different NPC and come back to edit my comment and give you my report
Edit: i tried it on multiple NPC's and none of them worked for me, idk if its because im on Xbox 360 or what, but it doesnt work for me :(

You don't know how much I look forward to these vids.
You know I just thought of something. In one episode you said "the gray beards give up their pass into sovenguard being pacifists." But the only requirement is to die in battle. So if 2 people are fighting and one's sword goes wide killing you but you was not fighting you did technically just die in battle so you would have a free pass weather or not you was fighting as long as someone in a battle killed you.
"Did you just Lawyer Sovenguard?" Apparently.
I used to do the last one, except I did it in beast form and with unrelenting force instead of ice form. I got bored, so I went to the Greybeards, turned into a werewolf right in front of them, got ice formed, ran away, and was shouted off the mountain. It autosaved when I exited the building so I got to do it over and over again until it stopped amusing me.

That pick pocket glitch I discovered my self back when Skyrim came out on the 360. I couldn’t find any videos or guides on it at the time and for years to come I thought I was one of the only people to even know about that. It’s good to know that others know about it too. But also sad at the same time because it’s no longer a secret with me and my friends who play Skyrim. Great video man. Keep it up. Also oh by the way thanks for putting my secret out to the world. 😥
Tip on the Paralysis Pickpocket, level up your Illusion skill and get the Quiet Casting perk, which renders all spells from any school of magic completely silent, allowing you to paralyze or frenzy without detection

Very useful axe called Fiery Soul Trap you can find it west of windhelm and east of dawnstar in a draugr crypt it has a word wall as well for any who didnt know it burns and traps a soul

The paralyze trick does not work. You must have a mod that lets you do that.
Without mods, you can't access thier inventory at all if you are already in combat... So no taking weapons away from hostile NPCs. Furthermore, you can only get it to work on non-hostile NPCs when they are getting up off the ground after the paralyze spell wears off. And even then, everything you take IS considered stolen and will show up with red letters.
That being said, in that one instance the game does not check for your chance of success... But everyone around you will instantly become hostile. So the trick is pointless, you are better off just stealth killing the person and taking their non-stolen loot.
It worked for me on non-modded Skyrim on Xbox.

Dreks Cado it means when I clicked on the video the highest video quality was 360p. Uploading videos takes a lot of time, and the larger the file, the longer it takes. That's why TH-camrs tend to upload at 360p first, so the video is out and viewable while they upload the higher quality versions.
