That’s good to hear. They still have a lot of stock with these original handles that they are selling . I was just lucky it didn’t happen when I took lid off outside . Otherwise my kids and dog would have been dodging glass particles. Thanks for comment and support. Plastic and heat never mix.
They have resolved this issue now, though there are still a few older sets out on the shelves that will get sold
I had the same issue and Weber replaced the handle not problems at all

Looks like a recall on that lid at least they made it good.
The Weber Warranty is 2nd to none really good, you may pay high price but you get no questions asked warranty and support.
Maybe not so good then
