    Ronny, here's a twist on your bacon, pork roast. Take a pork tenderloin, poke a hole through the middle (I use my metal knife sharpening rod) stuff in a link of sausage, then wrap the stuffed tenderloin in bacon. It is simple, flavorful and amazing. If you like spice you can stuff it with spicy sausage or you can coat the tenderloin with dry rub. Cooks quickly too as the diameter is smaller than a larger roast. Enjoy. BTW, we call it Triple Play as it is pork stuffed with pork and wrapped in pork.

    Webber do a quality duffle bag for the baby for under $50, and also they will replace any part including the hot plate if it's in its 5 year warranty and the pizo has a lifetime replacement guarantee, a very good company to deal with

    A must have, grab the 2 tables that connect to the sides. They fold into the Weber under the lid when stored. I've also had a canvas bag made for mine. I've got a single piece grill plate, single flat plate, the side tables and all my utensils. It all closes under the lid.

  • @henriwolbrink
    @henriwolbrink 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a great grill. Which for sure will get a place in my 4x4 setup. Just add the griddle plate for eggs, toast, pancakes etc. I use a spray can with olive oil to prevent sticking and maintain the grill. And make sure to get a cheap luggage scale. As canisters are usually calibrated it gives you some great indication on how much gas is left.

  • @coptotermes

    You don’t need to clean the BBQ with wipes. The “tradition” with Webers is to leave it after you cook. When you next fire it up put it on full blast and let it all heat up then clean the grill with a wire brush before putting your next meal on.

  • @Quarry4x4

    I was admittedly sceptical about this particular BBQ at first, but since owning one and using it for it's multitude of intending cooking purposes, I can without a shadow of hesitation recommend them. They're incredibly good at cooking food and they're great quality. Would I buy another one? I'd bypass just about every other BBQ in order to buy another one!

    Ronnie, we use BBQ mats for doing pizza. Cut 3 mats to suit your webber size, one lays over the grill the other two are for making the pizzas on. As one cooks you make the other and keep rotating them as you get a spare mat. Nice crispy bottom and, just make the mat to a size an inch short of the grill size to allow for heat convection. Cheap, easy and light weight.

    Howdy Ronny just to let you know the igniter issue is most likely a simple one. When we took my Weber 4wding the igniter rattled loose and there is actually a battery that powers it. So if you unscrew the igniter button there should be a battery in there. Unsure if this works for your baby q we have the family q or whether you already knew there was a battery there. Hopefully this helps you if not someone else who follows this awesome channel.

    Hey Ronny, these Baby Q's are the cat's arse. Ive had mine for nearly 2 years and it gets used at least 3 times a week. Love it to bits. But I've got the premium model which has the bigger, higher lid which is better for fitting bigger roasts in. Also has a temp gauge in lid and electronic ignite.

    I've had 2 of these BBQ (first one I bought in late 2004) they're the best, easy to clean, fast to cook on, small enough to be portable, big enough to feed many people. I wish weber made a two burner camping stove with the same quality and thought....

      2 zones would make the baby q from a 4.5 star into a 5 star event on my book... I love my 26'' kettle because its so easy to put the fire on 1 side and have different zones and also cause its so big its easy to get the same temps every time.. I also just bought a q1000 for 120 bucks on sale!, I was looking into more portable stuff but i hate cleaning and bad design often causes it... So when i saw the deal i had to go for it, prob wont be dissapointed...

    A very popular BBQ for the caravanners and campers, I had the Baby Q as well, sold it as it just took up too much space. A good BBQ, but for me, not worth the space it takes up, and yes I'm space constrained. I rather use the Coleman gas stove , and where possible use the fold up fire pit. For me the wipes did not work, the gerney on the other hand works a treat.

    When do you do some tests of led lights adna led bars?
    How are they shining at night?
    I want to mount two led lamps on the roof on my Land Rover Discovery 2, but I do not know what to choose.
    I do not want to buy too strong lights. I just want to light up the roadside.
    I thought over two led bars 12" 72W each one
    or maybe one led bar 120-180W in the arc?

    Mate try the baby Q bag! zips up around the entire BBQ keeps
    95% of the dust out and has carry handles, also has enough room for the extra

    gotta love the roasts they make! almost as good as home, although a few points about the webbers is.. they cant boil, i like haveing bacon and eggs as well as a hot coffee in the morning, i cant do it on the webber, a twin burner stove is awesome for that, you can make spaghetti, boil rice , have a curry and make a big stew on a twin burner stove... cant on the webber... also i wish they made them a bit more powerful, so that they dont take 15min to warm up when wanting to cook bacon and eggs in the morning, would also be helpful in making a good charred steak, is there a regulator that can be modified on them to make them a bit more powerful?

    Good advice about a great product. Just remember it's not like your gas guzzling 6 burner.
    The little Weber is very economical in its use of gas but you have to cook with the lid closed to get the fantastic results it is capable of. But do not be tempted to buy the matching Weber plastic cart. It's junk.

    While we love our Baby-Q I am still recovering from paying the enormous price. They are well over-priced for the material involved in constructing the unit. We have added the Weber meat thermometer to it as well and with that you will never ruin a roast. One other handy extra you can get is a solid half BBQ plate so you can do onions etc.

    • @jadedjourneys
      @jadedjourneys 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Weber will replace the pez ignition system if (when) it stops working

    Only down fall on the baby Weber Q it only has that one element so you can’t turn one side down while continuing to cook with a hotter side, personally that’s the only downside I’ve found with my baby Q maybe it’s on the bigger sizes other than a minor pick it’s still a brilliant thing to have.

    if anyone sees this, im contemplating between this weber baby Q and the 'gasmate voyager' portable bbq, though there are ZERO reviews for the latter. any ideas?

    Just needs a temp gauge!

      The newer model has one. If you have an older one you can buy a bbq grill gauge separately and bolt it on.

    convection, great review Ronny. But for me it doesnt get hot enough to sear steaks or really do well with meats.

    Ronny, have you tried some locktite on the handle?

      The heat will compromise the loctite the first use and possibly emit toxic fumes.

      Ozzie Jim you’re right. Easiest way to release loctite is through heat though.

      @@chenderson4969 Not only that, loctite can affect some types of plastic and make them very brittle.
