Do you know what a thin green line by the fish icon mean? sometimes, when i use my lucky finder, when fish icon appears on the display, there is a thin green line above the fish.... cant find anywhere what this means...

The big ticket item though is maps. I haven't used it in salt water yet, but as long as the cap is sealed tightly it should work fine. I would suggest rinsing it with fresh water after use since the probes are metal.

@@teozxr400 That comment was meant as comparison to using it with a boat or to models that are mounted to boats. This will work just understand you would be pulling it behind you if you troll with it, since there is no mounting.

@@teozxr400 Yea it is used more for static fishing. As for depth the lakes around here aren't that deep maybe 10 meters on average. I've only used it from the shore so much deeper than 5 meters is usually too far away.
It should be able to as long as you anchor it and the waves aren't too high. Too much up and down move meant will through it off. Also it is designed more for lake size fish so the "large" fish may be 18 inches or 18 feet. I would suggest you rinse it with fresh water too since it has the metal probes on the bottom.
Any tutorial that includes "it looks like that's the power button" is a fail. Just sayin'. ;-) Power buttons should be visible, how to find and use power buttons is essential, right??

It's fairly basic operation is nice and if you fish from shore or other static locations and use the sinker method I mention to keep it in place it'll let you know when something is swimming by. You can tow the float behind you in a bot but I haven't used it this way yet. I would suggest going slow. It's not perfect but for the price it's a fair alternative to the big pricey ones.
I've used it for 3-4 hours or longer a couple days in a row without recharging and if you have a battery bank you could always charge it with that while moving locations or use the included car charger.
Ha.. ok.. after setting up a return/refund at Amazon I tried again.. the instructions are very weak.. the "back" button turns it on (5 second hold), not the "menu/power" key.. go figure. 🙄😜

One tip do not use weight or etleast make tie so if your weight are stuck between the rod you won't lose your sonar

Maybe a dumb question. But I couldn't see, does this mark your jig as well to control depth? Wanna use this for ice fishing and kayaking
Not specifically, but depending on your jig size it may register as a small fish.

Why is it showing fish if it’s not in the water ? Or around fish
It has to be in water more than 2 feet deep or it causes an error. It will also show fish if it is set to demonstration mode.
