    Out of curiosity, on the 1000 build. Couldn't you attach the back plywood to the brick wall instead of framing with 2x4s? You'd gain a few inches on the inside. Thanks!

    • @AquariumDomain.
      @AquariumDomain.  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Maybe...but there would be some issues to overcome like boxing around things and the wall being part drywall, part brick and different heights. As much as I would like to get a few more inches to play with, the piece of mind I get building the tanks the way that has served me well for so long goes along way 😊

    Awesome feeding the fish bugs! Excellent source of calcium and protein. What I do us gut load mine with apples and carrots. Give em a few days to gorge themselves. Then they will ready to harvest 😅 also they can become reliant on bugs only and stop feeding on other foods. I would feed them on odd occasions unless u have an insectivor in ur tank. Also I would place the eggs in the sump. Not necessary to keep them in the DT. Line them in a constant flow area and when they cab hatch and not impede any of the equipment i.e. pump intakes lol

    • @AquariumDomain.
      @AquariumDomain.  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      So I noticed the other eggs weren't eaten because the Shark couldn't reach them as that side of the container is blocked by the gyre powerhead. I have blocked off the whole area now so they are safe. I am really trying to bring Predator Bay 3000/4000 online asap so I can get the big sharks in there and get the eggs into the new mangrove estuary. 😊

    I think the reason why there's so much glare is because of the white wall behind the plants. white reflects light, black absorbs so its just coming back to hit you and everything else in the room, making the glare

    • @AquariumDomain.
      @AquariumDomain.  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That is actually a grey wall that I partly chose that specific grey because it was supposed to help with lighting, reflections during filming. 😊 There are windows on each side and of course lots of bright lights and water behind glass...so pretty much the ultimate combination for reflections lol 😊

    I don't know how attached you are to shark eggs but it might be prudent to put a grate so that the shark does not shark if you know what I mean or else what's left might be eaten too.

    • @AquariumDomain.
      @AquariumDomain.  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Actually turns out the reason the two eggs survived in there was because the gyre pump located on top of the container blocked the Shark from getting to the two other eggs. 😊
