- It's time for some of the mini monster fish to move on up to the 4500 gallon Xingu River aquarium! Also I have made massive progress on the double 1200 gallon DIY builds and even started clearing out behind Predator Bay 3000 for the new Marine Estuary system. Oh yeah and we take a look at which fish are moving into one of the 1200 gallon tanks and who will be the next fish to go into the 750 gallon aquarium!

The decision to add the option to have dividers is paying off huge. Well done
Yeah it came in handy 😊
You have one of the best fish rooms on TH-cam.
Thanks Hutch! Orlushy dc
Thanks for the updates. I think the 4500 needs some rays and Luteus plecos
I think so too! 😊
Can you make us a feeding video? I'd like to see all the fish eat sometime especially the monsters.
I will put it on the list 😊
Everything looks great!! ( other than the plywood cut😂😂). By far my favorite fish channel on TH-cam. Always looking forward to seeing a new video.
Thank you! Yeah that cut wasn't my finest moment 😊😊
The bass colors look awesome 👏
Those Fogo's are lookers for sure! 😊😊
The bass have really colored up. It's going to look awesome with the silver dollars in there now.
They were flashing some serious color with the new additions to the tank....I think they want the new guys to know who is the boss 😊😊
As always I love to see your updates and progress. I'm just amazed by all the things you do.
Thank you so much! No shortage of craziness to come! lol 😊
The 4500 is looking great! Thanks for the update 😁
Thanks Jeff! 😊
Tiger shovel nose is going to be your tank boss but your bass in the 4500 have grown so much it’s crazy
Hehe...yeah the Bass really seem to love the 4500...who knew the 3000 gallon wasn't up to their standards 😛
@@AquariumDomain. lol right they do seem really happy though
Always happy to see your progress.Good job.
Thank you! 😊
a freshwater stingray would look amazing in there. Great job on the tanks and fish stocking
I am thinking 2 of them would be nice! 😊
You’re definitely 💯 the best fish keeper I have ever seen! Your fish 🐟 are living their best lives in your care. You surpassed the so called King of DIY Joey by far. The only other channel I can compare you with is Ohio fish rescue, because both of you give fish so much space. However, you make a natural eco system in which fish thrive even more efficiently. In addition, you show your audience how to build these huge tanks at such a cost effective way. If I didn’t have so many kids I would be copying you lol 😂
Thanks so much! I feel you on the kids, I had to wait 20 years until kids were grown up to take over the basement and start my aquarium domain 😊
Way late on catching your last two videos. So much progress going on. Love seeing what you have going on. Can’t wait to see it continue to come together. Cool stuff!!!
Well you know the saying Todd it's not how big your comment is, its how you use your comment...errr I think I may have that mixed up with something else...thanks for being here and commenting! 😊
@@AquariumDomain. 😂😂😂😂
That 750g would be perfect for an electric Eel 👍👍👍, as soon as the Red Hooks and Silver Dollars were added I was thinking those Bass were gonna sample a couple of them. I guess the dividers really do come in handy.
Yeah I did under estimate just how wide the Bass's mouth could open, but luckily me and that silver dollard dodged a bullet. Divider is definitely helps with growing out monster fish...plus it is only temporary...probably be taken out in a couple months. 😊
I know it's not a South American fish but a fire eel would get massive in the 4500 set up😊
Yeah it would...and it would probably love all those nice case I built that all the other fish ignore lol 😊
I'd love to see only nano fish and shrimp in the 750. It would be epic...
There might be 10k shrimp in there right now...you would just never know it lol 😊😊 with out a super close up shot 😊
AMAZING TANKS GREAT JOB
Thanks! 😊
Everything's looking great! I can't wait to see what's coming for the Amazonian Islands tank. Just a possible tip for cutting down on reflections during filming: maybe you could try turning off the overhead/recessed (room) lights while keeping the tank lights on. Glad to see the progress, and doing something like this is a dream of mine now.
Thanks! Yeah I find the best time to film in the annex is at night and with the room lights off. Some of the footage had the room lights off, but just the light coming in the windows was enough to create reflection hell lol 😊😊
@AquariumDomain. Understandable! Well, I'll take getting an update over perfect lighting conditions anyway 😅 Keep up the good work!
I’m in Tacoma if you ever need help! I didn’t realize you were local 👍🏻
Appreciate that, but I am actually in Maryland...I was just saying that it felt like I lived in Seattle with how much it has rained here lately 😊
Recommend that you lower the lighting in the room to reduce the reflection in the glass while filming.
Yeah some of the footage was with lights on and some off and both had more reflection than I would want, something I have to keep working on to improve...lighting, water and glass is a nasty combo for videography 😊
I'd love to see timelapses of you building these tanks (maybe sped up?). You would have caught the slip haha
I would be worried what else the camera might catch...plumbers crack lol 😊😊
Thing about aggressive fish is they will strike even when not hungry. That is what makes them a game fish for sport fishing. Top lure, frog lure or whatever people use to catch these things. Yours are like 17 feet long now and I am sure they will go for literally anything. Heck I would not be surprised if they would go after birds too. A duck just swims about and BAM! I bet those bass would be singing a different tune if those silver dollars were pacus. Pacu will take a big bite with those human teeth and they can get super aggressive too. Swims there all peaceful and then turns into a predator on the whim.
So true! Divider is going to have to stay in for a few months for all the new mini monsters to put on enough size to be able to handle the big boys 😊
4500 looks great! Hope the silver dollars put on some more size quickly so they can swim the whole tank again soon. Even with a divider though it has to feel like a mansion for those silver dollars. I must say... a mbu puffer tank with some tetras, or something would look sweep in one of those 1200s. ;) Already excited to see more. :)
Thanks Austin! Even with the divider in the Peacock Bass seem pretty happy in their 2250 gallon temp area lol, but it will definitely help the new guys grow faster without being bothered 😊
Always impressive
Thank you 😊😊
It looks soooo good with some schooling fish in there, starting to really look like you have a segment of river in your house lol
Thanks! Building it up slowly, but it's coming together 😊
Great update and big moves! 👍
Thanks! 😊
Great video as always!! I'm liking the milk crate/wood clamp temporary housing concepts. I'm stealing that deal. The BASS looking amazing!!
Thanks Joe! Yeah the releasing of the stress hormone is a legit thing, fish that spend a few hours in the basket...when you let them out the other fish don't give them the business like when they get dumped straight in 😊
Man the xingu river tank is niceeee
Just Amazing
😊
The silver seems to be keeping the red 😭💯💯nice
It would be awesome if he kept it all the way to adult, but I am sure that is wishful thinking 😊😊
Superb!
🙂
Thank you 👍
😊
Great video
Thanks! 😊
Now, with the executive decision made, you should be able to bring in the arowana, too.
Definitely want to get him in there as soon as possible...all the other grow outs actually. I need to clear out the 315 for the new grow outs 😊😊
Good decision on dividing them til they get some size which should be soon enough plus they just need to get used to the new tank . Fish room is looking great!
Yeah I feel a lot better with the safe option rather trusting my Peacock Bass to be good boys lol 😊
Nice update!
Thanks!
also in the big tank it would look cool seeing a school of mullet or archer fish
I am trying to cover the schooling fish dynamic with the Wide Bars and the Red Hooks 😊
Nice!
Thanks! 😊
Taking a 3-day constipated dump while watching this thank you for your long video.
That sounds painful, but glad I could help some 😛
Nice
Thanks
A few things; First, those big peacock bass are absolutely stunning! Second, building in those dividers was a great idea. Next, I can’t wait to see that tiger shovel nose in the 4500 with some size on him. And finally, can’t recall if you already have one, but if not how about a big clown knife in one of those tanks? Thanks for the videos. I like watching the progress.
The big Bass really flash the colors when they sense the new comers...I think they want them to know who is the boss 😊😊 and yeah dividers are pretty necessary with the big boys...takes time to get everyone on equal footing within the tank 😊
You're in Seattle now? Fantastic, we can hang out way more! 🤣 You might consider some wood glue in the seam to help join the "oops" cut plywood in addition to the extra reinforcement and screws. Cheers buddy!
After it rained like almost everyday since March here I sure feel like I know what it is like to live in Seattle lol 😊 I like to use the construction adhesive to fill all those big gaps...before the fiberglassing starts! 😊
another great video, thank you! would love to see you grow out a large school of clown loaches, my favorite fishy 😊
I have 8 Clown Loaches in the 600 gallon Asian Jungle aquarium who are getting pretty big. You can see them here: th-cam.com/video/dpNLvGS7TN0/w-d-xo.html 😊
Great video. Some spider Kelberi bass would look great in the 4500
I have plans for Spider Kelberi Bass, but not in one of the 1200 gallon tanks 😊
Keep it up man, all looks great ! Where is the albino aro ?
Someone in the grow out tank killed him, came down to the Flagtails eating his fins...but he was already dead of course.
@@AquariumDomain. sorry to hear that buddy :(
can´t wait what the catfish will do to those feederfish siver dollars!
😊
Awesomeness. I know they’re not your thing, but please I beg of you, get a river fly turtle AD 😢
You know those Fly River Turtles are pretty expensive too...not something you get unless you are really into them 😊
Hey, AD, sorry I'm late. I was on vacation. While away I visited a small public aquarium and saw a tank that reminded me of the 4500 gallon. They had the monsters in there along with thousands of endlers. It was an amazing sight to behold those little colorful fish with those big boys. They also had a pretty big salt display area with sharks and rays. I think your 3000 will end up being even better. Looking forward to all the projects ahead. Take care.
Hey Phil! Took a couple days off myself! 😊 I finished up all the prerequisite work this weekend to open up working on Predatory bay 3000 again. Cleaning out the shed, setting up shelves and then clearing out everything behind the 3000 gallon was a chore, but it is done now...just the giant sump left clean out..then it is build back up time. 😊
You should do some concrete designs on the exposed 2x4s on the 4500g. Make it look more natural and not see the studs
That will all be covered up when I add the veneers to all the tanks. My plan is to build them all first and then come back and trim them all out and make them look nice afterwards. 😊
Thanks for the video, fish look great. For the new tank, are you concerned about the wood pulling away from the pole when filled and weakening the fiber glass? feels like a deviation from your normal meticulous tank building. Is the wood lag bolted in the pole?
Correct the whole frame of the tank is bolted into the pole, there won't be any movement.
How do you like the black net in the video. I bought two of them, and they both snapped where the handle attaches to the net. Very cheap plastic.
So far I haven't had any problems with them, but I don't push them too hard...I have some big sock nets from Japan for the big boy fish. 😊
It's looking amazing as always. Did you plan for that divider as you were building the 4500 ? It's a great idea.
Oh yeah, if you look back to the 4500 build videos you will see that I created 2 channels for adding egg crate dividers. With big aggressive fish having to separate them from time to time is just unfortunately something you have to do. 😊
Notice I didn't see the albino Arowana in the mini monster tank
Unfortunately someone in the grow out killed it, came down one morning to find the Flagtails eating is fins (it was already dead of course). I am going to purchase a pair of albino arowana babies and grow them out together without any other tank mates.
Need a zebrina or johanni pike in there
Yes to both of those! Quite a few fish are in the works 😊
what are the angel morph called in the amazonian island ? they look crazy!
I bought them as wild type Angelfish from Venezuela. I gave some to my friend who has bred them a couple of times...I need to get some more from him to beef up my numbers. 😊
Why put in rails for dividers if you dont use them? This would have been the perfect time to put 1 in to seperate the small monsters until they grow up a bit.
I did put the divider in, check out towards the end of the video. 😊
what are some of your water pump you use for your filter?
I have a bunch of Sicce Synchra pumps and Orlushy DC pumps.
You probably addressed this already. Hell, I might have been the one to ask. I don't recall. Why not make the two smaller tanks see through, glass on both sides? Cost? Or something else?
That’s what I was thinking. That way you’re not cutting the viewing off to larger tank.
I don't know why he didn't just build each tank on each wall to make the 4500 look extended, and in like a U shape.
You answer your question. He always builds the most cost effective tank. A see through tank there might look cool but how wide are those tanks? I don't think you can see much through the window and you have to consider what scape he wanted to do. The glare too is a problem when you open another window facing the 45
@@wabalaka1565 Now that you say that, I believe the Scape is the reason. I have a dim recollection of that anyway. The glare is another excellent point.
You're starting trouble Whip lol 😊 A lot of people wanted glass on both sides of the 1200 gallons, but that is not my vision. Not a cost thing but a design thing...have to see it when its all done. 😊
How large are the Fogo’s 😊
The male is somewhere in the 30"-34" range and the female 28"-30" I got a good measurement on the Orinoco Bass he was 22" for size comparison.
Is that an Orinoco in with the Fogos?
Yes it is 😊
Nice! It’s a beauty. Currently growing out three of them! Can’t wait till they get that size!
I will say you k ow how to color up your fish 🎉
They eat well 😊
Is that a black aro or silver aro?
It's a Silver 😊
where is the golden arowana?
Unfortunately someone in the grow out killed it, came down one morning to find the Flagtails eating is fins (it was already dead of course). I am going to purchase a pair of albino arowana babies and grow them out together without any other tank mates.
@@AquariumDomain. that stuff happens the other one looks brilliant and put on a lot of size. Cant wait to see them one day in the big tank
The shoaling fish will disappear one by one.
The divider is in now, so they have time to bulk up. 😊
