Well... main fan theories regarding the metheus puzzles are that the ancient civilization (eventually) had 2 lots, some that followed the light and some that followed the dark and they were relatively even, but the dark guy offered the powers of nightmare fuel to his followers which was awesome and so the lightside guy counterpart lost all of his followers and was far weaker by comparison. But, dabbling with nightmare fuel is fine in moderation but when you start exploiting the resource, it goes wrong. So nightmare fuel started corrupting dark guy and dark guy started taking over or something and light guy sacrificed himself to try to stop dark guy and then they were never seen of again. So maybe while the darkness guy went down the path of nightmare fuel and the shadows, the light guy started harnessing the power of the moon and the celestial bodies (although they were in the caves at this point, and nightmare fuel is better than darkness fuel) and so this update expands more along where the light guy went with his progress and stuff.
Holy heck is this update pretty! Not only are the environments super snazzy looking, but the creatures look really great! I want to make all of them my pets haha I'm also super intrigued by the war between the nightmare and moon creatures- I'm very curious to see where Klei takes this down the road as they finish this update, and very likely expand upon this aspect of lore in future updates
What a special update. You're telling me I can craft turf and chill in the moon caves for nightmare fuel? All we need now is global pause and all my dreams come true. A mango fruit wouldn't hurt though.
I'd love that but they said they were going to avoid Forge/Gorge style events for a while when Forge S02 came to an end. I think running all those extra servers costs a fair bit. It would be cool if it took the players to an arena to play the Forge/Gorge though. Who knows.
I can sadly never catch you live on twitch as I live in Europe, but since we started working from home, I’ve had your streams on in the background while I’m working and I really enjoy it! I particularly like the community server streams :D

This is the new update of Return of Them Beta, the new contents aren’t added into the main game yet but you can switch to the beta branch to experience them first
it seems that the turf crafter cant make any turf you can build in another way like wooden floorin or turf you can get whit empty bottels or wurt swamp turf is that ccorect? or dit i see it wrong?
They should upgrade the surface, or make a larger world. The whole branch world gen system is really lacking the creative and adventure feeling. I also feel like we need more annoying enemies like gnats from Hamlet or like the Naga creature from Hamlet. I'm just waiting for a 10500 hp boss called the glass serpent or something in the desert or moon area
As far as I'm aware, they will be retrofitted to include the new biomes which you can access via wormhole in the caves (there's a first for everything)
Right click on the game in your steam library. Properties > Betas > select returnofthembeta from the drop down menu. Update the game and you're good to go.

They don't grow back as far as I'm aware. It's possible they regrow in the same way that normal mushtrees do but I haven't seen it happen.

That is correct. Turf that you can already craft elsewhere isn't included in the TFT.

What's the mod that moves the backpack slots to the inventory?
You can do it in the game settings. Switch Backpack over to "Integrated"
