- Declutter and organize along with me! I will be tackling my pots, pans, tupperware, and glassware in this video. I will be using a method I learned from Dana K. White to redo my tupperware cabinet by storing my tupperware with the LIDS ON and getting rid of any container that doesn't have a lid or any lids that don't have containers. They are just taking up space!

I switched from plastic to glass containers and it is so much nicer!
I am with you. Not only do they look nicer, they are far more safe and sanitary. Also, toss that Temu crap and buy a better one. Just a suggestion.
One question that helped me enormously when decluttering my kitchen of seldom used or "someday" items was, If I didn't have this what would I use instead. Often the "instead" item was such a tiny improvement over what I kept it was a no-brainer!
Yes! I like to ask myself that as well. When something breaks and I have to toss it out, I always ask myself if there is something else I can use instead rather than buying a new item and usually there is something else that will work just fine. But, sometimes there are those particular items that are just too convenient not to have.😊

Loved this! I started storing all my plastic containers with their lids several years ago because I would hear griping every single day, when lunches were being packed, about not being able to find lids. Finally after forever I went through every container in the house, threw away what didn't have lids, and started storing everything with its own lid. Nothing EVER gets put away unless it's put away with its lid.
Haven't heard any griping since, at least not about that 😁😂
I love that it worked for your family! 😊I saw that you did watch my more recent video where I explained that it didn't end up working for us. When it's just my husband and I, I will probably be able to go back to storing them with lids on, but that just isn't going to work for us right now with the way my boys use them.🤷♀️
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp yes I saw that! We have little glass dishes we use for that stuff so we only use the tupperware for on the go. But I totally get how every household has to find its own groove. 😊

Can't imagine having so much kitchen space that I could store everything with lids on and actually have room over? What a luxury to have so much storage space. I keep my stuff stacked as neatly as space permits with lids carefully packed alongside. It's not ideal but I manage and don't misplace anything. The visual aesthetic when I open doors and drawers is pleasing to me. That's the best I can do without a new kitchen or throwing away things I need. Learnt a few things from Dana K White though. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS
Yes, I understand I am in a very fortunate position, which is exactly why I want to give back because I feel like I've been very blessed in my life. I have always incorporated service as part of my thanks to God for all of my blessings, so it's pretty cool that, thanks to youtube, I can make service my full-time job now.🤗💜❤️

Yes! We keep our storage bowls with lids on also. It may seem weird to some folks but they're much cleaner and orderly. P.S. you've really inspired me.thank you so very much.

I decluttered my pan drawer because I wasn't very good at tetrising it back together after I'd used something. Very much like Dana says, it needs to be "get to able" so with less in there I can get to everything so much easier. Yours also looked much easier to get to everything in the last after shot where it was only pans ❤
I also find it so much easier to only have a small amount of tupperware that is stored with the lids on. It goes into a drawer with my tea towels and cleaning cloths, half the drawer for each. That way I can't get too many, and plenty fit in there and when its too full, I put my least favourite in the recycling (they are usually old takeaway containers so not something anyone would appreciate me donating!)
I also store my pyrex brand glass containers with all lids attached. They aren't neatly stackable otherwise. It also saves my mind the stress or confusion of an 'extra decision'. It is simpler for me to grasp the entire item from the cupboard with both hands straight onto the kitchen counter!

Bonnie, I also HATE hair that isn't on the head! 😆 I clean houses and I vacuum everything...showers, bathtubs! I just cannot stand wet hair wrapped around my fingers!

For the shelves that don’t slide like they use to, remove, clean and oil the slide wheels. My husband did that to some of our drawers that weren’t working well and it made a huge difference.
That is on my list of things to do. I have a few patches and repairs I'd like to make around our home and that's definitely one I would love to take care of. Thanks for sharing!

Any ways it would be great if you took items to a consignment shop. You deserve it and a few dollars is better than zero dollars. I would wear an apron for many reasons. It’s hard to keep moving camera and If like to see you and not your behind.❤

Many of the homeowners I help, I am able to take their stuff to a thrift store and get a receipt to use as a tax deduction, so that helps.
I don’t like lids on containers in the cupboard, however I pile them under the containers. This works much better for me
I love the change up. Sometimes, we all just need a little project pallette cleanser. This was perfect to reset my cleaning motivation. Extreme cleaning is sometimes too extreme to make me just get up and do the mundane things like reorganizing a cluttered cabinet. So thank you for this. Also, how do I find links to things you use? I looked around but didn't see any. Of course, I only had 1 cup of coffee so far, so that might be my real problem.

I have been busy this morning with my own house cleaning. Not finished yet but thought I'd sit for a break and watch you clean 😊! Oh how I would love to have those pull out drawers in my cabinets in the kitchen. How handy is that!! Mine is a 1970's kitchen though and those type conveniences weren't even around then I don't think. I also need to do some decluttering but those projects take a back seat to just keeping up with the house cleaning. Maybe one day.... Good job, Bonnie! ❤
Yes, those drawers in the cabinets were a genius idea. In houses that don't have this, I usually try to use containers that are large and shallow that almost act like drawers so that you don't have to reach way in the back to grab stuff. Things that get put into deep cabinets like this in the back usually are forgotten about.😊

I tried putting the lids on my tupperware but my mom was right, it makes them smell funny. I know for a fact they are clean and cleaned well. I always put a little bleach in my water as it's hard water. I got so excited to see you had posted Bonnie !!! Thanks for sharing your home again. ❤❤❤
That is why I never put lids on plastic tubs or cups unless it has a straw I can leave up.
I will actually do an update on how it's going with the whole Tupperware with lids on thing because it hasn't worked out as well as I had hoped. I will share more about that in the future video. But, yes, I can see how that would make it a little stinky inside the Tupperware to have the lid on it. I think, overall, the best answer is just to have a limited number so that you aren't looking through a million containers and a million different lids.😊

Buy one size large containers and all one size round containers. Finding a lid is easy.

I keep my big round pizza stone in the oven and if I’m baking something else, I just take it out and set it on top. That’s easier for me than having to bend down and get it out of a lower cabinet. Plus, I use it underneath my instant pot so that I can set my instant pot on my stove and it keeps it level.

I don't store my Tupperware with the lids on BUT I do store them upside down.
For me it just makes sense cuz no dust or debris from your drawers above will fall in them. 🤓🤓

Those pull outs are what I really need under all my cabinets. I use those to put into my pots when stacking. I even use older or kitchen cloths too. Makes my pots and pans last longer.

After your last video I was inspired to clean the cupboard under the sink. Was that a mess! I have also adopted the lid on container method and it is working well. In season I bulk freeze so I have stored those containers elsewhere so day to day we are not overwhelmed with plastic. Thanks for continued efforts.

Great job on your drawers, Bonnie. I got a giggle when you were fighting with the hairs. My hair is to my waist, and I shed. They stick to the microfiber cloths when you wash and dry them. The fibers are like minature velcro under magnification, but I guess that's why they work so well. 😮. Loved your organization skills.👍
To your waist?! That's impressive! I've never been able to grow my hair even close to that long. Yeah, I'm sure that gets tangled in a lot of stuff!

My kitchen has the red accents, a lot of which are classic Coca-Cola items. I love the vibe it gives the kitchen and when done like yours (and mine, if I may say so) the color is not overbearing or ‘loud’, it just works well. I love your chicken sign!! Was really fun to see your rendition of the ‘Barbie clap’ and your reorg went very well! I have a long haired cat and do find that in the weirdest/grossest of places too. I agree, when it’s attached, it’s lovely, but when it’s just sitting there..ewwwwwwwww! 😆

I think keeping your big glass dishes in a drawer is a good idea. Mine are in a corner cabinet and I'm always afraid I'm going to drop them getting them out, but there's nowhere else.

I think I may have received this from my mom. I don't remember where it came from, but I know I've had it for my whole married life at least. Tupperware is a good brand!
My best friend loves to quilt and just acquired a long arm quilter. Very amazing! Love your kitchen and enjoyed your video. If you have time in your life, maybe you could start another channel on quilting. 🤷♀♥
I have joked with my friend that we should start a quilting channel. I know I really don't have time for that right now, but maybe once my body can't handle the cleaning anymore, I will start a quilting channel instead.. haha!

I clean 14 different houses every month. Their kitchens are most all immaculate, because I do the cleaning and arranging, they keep things declutterred, I’m their inspiration and a person they can ask a question “hey do I need this?” 😊😊😊😊😊😊

everything looks better and more organized now. those pull out shelves are awesome. i was a bit frustrated b/c i couldn't hear you when you were talking about your decision making with the pots and pans and couldn't see you putting them back, but at least could see that in the after shots. please speak louder when talking while filming. you have a soft voice and maybe still a bit unsure of yourself. be confident and bold, girl!! thank you!

If you get those rubberized drawer liners at the dollar store, nothing slides when you open the drawer. And you can wipe them clean.
I thought about that after the fact because that is a problem. That is a super cheap and helpful solution. Thanks for bringing that up!

Someone else mentioned something like that as well. Scary if it's true. I've only ever bought from them once and probably wouldn't again.
Our house was designed where the office close to the front door can also be a bedroom so there is a full size closet in there. We put up wide ventilated shelving (3 rows) across the entire back wall, and I use that for the kitchen items I don't use every day and the things I need to host Thanksgiving yearly. Sure is nice to have that extra "Pantry". Easy installation too.

How about tupperware in the drawer? We have ours in a drawer (with lids in) and the depth of the drawer is super helpful to contain them. I think you could also put all the bowls together on one of your pullout shelves. Easier to find things and see what you have when like items are together.

Nice spacy cabinets
I keep my Tupperware on their side, but for the tall ones - this leaves even more space and they don't shift that much when pulling the drawer in and out. Just will leave this comment if somebody finds it as helpful as I do.

Are you the only one who puts clean dishes away? My hubby unloads the dishwasher and it’s always a game of hide and seek to find things. lol. Wouldn’t trade him for the world!! Also the find I am a person who doesn’t like moving a lot of things to get to the item I want. I slimmed down my actual cupboards to every day items and keep the rarely used, but precious dodads apart.
I actually really hate unloading the dishwasher for some reason. I would much rather load it than unload it. Right now, I have assigned my boys to unload the dishwasher. Things don't always get put away exactly as I prefer, but I know where to look if it's not in the space I usually like it.😄
Food storage container lids go to the same place as single socks…and Sasquatch.
