This is how to demonstrate a guitar. Well done.
I mean...for a lot of us, that's exactly how we'll be playing the guitar - playing something technically complex, very quickly, through a high-gain amplifier with some degree of reverb. While it's nice to hear what a guitar sounds like played simply on an unspecified amplifier/microphone combination, it provides me with as little useful information as those other videos do to you. This isn't somehow more the 'real' sound of the guitar than technical metal playing; 99.999% of the sound you'll get in any guitar recording comes down to the amp, the cab, the microphone, and microphone placement. Neat. Fender is on fire lately. I think it will actually look better as it becomes naturally reliced and worn in over time, kind of like a great pair of jeans.
I have a 2018 MIJ Jazzmaster (live in Japan). It’s shielded, CTS pots and finished very nicely, you read about needing to replace all the electronics but it’s not the case. The stock pick ups are not good in my opinion as a novice, that part is accurate. I have a gold foil on neck and wide range humbucker in bridge, kind of similar set up but the value between the two is much greater than this (around 5 and 11). The middle position is awesome, something about blending humbucker bridge with single coil neck really works. Don’t hesitate to pick up recent MIJ stuff, it’s a real good base to work from. They are sold under Tokai brand in some countries, I believe Tokai is the current contract holder for MIJ Fender.
I absolutely love the sound of that guitar, all pickup settings. I discovered your channel a couple months ago and have literally been binge watching your videos night and day as I'm one of the ones who lost my job until this pandemic is over. I've been thinking about doing something like this, but with cymbals and drums or DMX lighting. I love what you do bro. You're a true inspiration to how this should be done and have given me a million ideas as to how I'd get into this but with drums and cymbals. Thank you for the excellent content :)
I was watching videos introduce the Fender Deluxe Thinline Telecaster (MIM) one with 3 Noiseless Pickups, the other on with 2 Noiseless Pickups, then all of a sudden your video came up; moreover, the design and color on the Silent Siren are what I prefer. It looks gorgeous!!
It's not out yet, gets released end of June. They released 30 outside of Japan to dealers. I bought 1 of the 3 allocated for the UK! £1900 in UK which is crazy expensive for a MIJ, but hyper limited so worth it IMO.
@@thomasharman1435 You're right - isn't until end of June. Mind you - that price seems pretty comparable to the Japanese price. We would have to shell out 250,000 yen here. But wow - what a cool looking Tele. :)
The modern Rangemaster (or Shaw as you called it) is built more like a Gibson humbucker with the bar magnet under the coils. The 70s Rangemasters had magnet screw pole pieces made out of a special alloy that was a major expense to use... thus the shortcut to bar magnets now. You can buy original style Rangemasters made by boutique pickup makers with the magnet screws, but it will cost you (not as much as an original Fender one though.)
He actually has an all white Tele …..with his pickup and switching config....with red accents and I believe a black pickguard (I could be wrong about that part)…..full white neck and fingerboard....that he calls the "Ghost".
That is such a stealth guitar.I love the all white and like you said the logo adds a lot visually.I've never owned a Telecaster, actually I don't like them but after a couple years I'd like to see if some come to the U.S I would seriously consider buying this.Great video nice to see different guitars.
Finally a telecaster comes with Humbucker at the bridge, single coil at the neck. MIM or USA made fender need to produce some models with this design. It will be great to come with locking tuners🎸🎸
i used to have my sg loaded like this a couple years ago, but sg wiring. loved it, i was sick of playing in a band doing only a loud bridge pickup. bleeding that neck single coil was such a nice vibe
I just want to say you have the perfect intro. Nice catchy riff, not a second too long. Its fun to edit longer intros and tv sure did get us used to those but that doesnt work well here on youtube and i always find myself skipping other peoples intros.
Ab.so.lute.ly love that you covered this. Silent Siren is great and we appreciate that you did some research on them too 🤗 well done, sir. I’m not over the hills on Sumire’s Sig Tele (Haruna from Scandal’s is far superior) but it’s nice coverage nonetheless. I might pick one of these up if I don’t get an Asuka tele
Very nice Trogly! Great info and beautiful Tele, with fa k e 'f' hole pinstripe outline! I too would've liked to have seen the pinstripe carried around he guitar. Or better yet, have the striping carry all the way up the sides of the neck and meet at the headstock....hmmmm, just a thought. 😉 Great video Trog, thank you! Pam💜
Well the pups match the finish - bright! lol Nice looking guitar but the fake F hole looks kind of silly IMO what's the purpose in drawing a fake F hole? If they would have shaded it in to make it look more real I would get it but just doing an outline seems like a wast of time and material, they should have spent that on finishing the outline around the entire body lol.
It's a japanese guitar for a japanese musician, it kinda defeats "what's the purpose" question. Haven't you seen ESP/Edwards signature guitars for domestic market? There's some crazy stuff. It's not meant to appeal you since it's not meant to even been sold to you
That is a stunner of a tele...weird or no, she's a classy little number. I've just listened to a couple of Silent Siren's songs...Alvin and the Chipmunks comes to mind!
I think the intent with the pinstripe was to have the shape of the guard mimic the continuance of the striping. I think it looks good that way. The first sample of the middle position reminded me of the tone Lincoln Brewster gets from his Strat neck pup. Ran across this guitar for the first time the other day. It really is a unique looking guitar.
Out of all guitars I have heard you demo this Tele is a real tone machine what do you guy's think? You have demonstrated the most expensive to the most cheapest ..This Tele is something special about it
Hey Trogly you should check the new Neon Genesis Evangelion telecaster. It’s also a Japanese exclusive , and it’s set to launch on July of this year because of the new movie. It would be amazing if you could feature it on the channel.
That one’s gonna be a headache trying to get. Evangelion fans are the type to buy those out instantly lol. That being said it would be really cool to see it on here!
That ending sentiment is exactly how I feel with so many region exclusive guitars. Yea, that's where your market for it is, but surely it wouldn't hurt to throw like 200 our way. Examples of this include the Epiphone Shinichi Ubukata 335 and the Fender Evangelion Asuka Tele, among others.
Hey Austin yay I Finally got to see it it's beautiful it reminds me of Matt heafys Les Paul I surprise u got that over here lol and in my opinion I think fender should make a special line where they make all right guitars like this telecaster well that's all see ya next video.
You do the best reviews my man thank you! I love this guitar and want one so bad, that humbucker gives it a nice little slight growl but the cleans are still so nice
I have a M.I.J blue flower 69 custom telecaster and a M.I.J 62 telecaster best telecasters I've played the necks are great and finish on both guitars flawless I got the blue flower mint condition for 500£ with a tweed case it's the best money I ever spent I would highly recommend Japanese telecasters
I played the same Strat for the past 30 years.About 5 years ago I ran into some $.Now I've got 29 guitars,& I finally bought a few Teles.BUT NOT LIKE THIS!!! Sweet baby Jesus I want this guitar so bad.I'm still gonna buy a Snow Falcon though. Also without talkin' dirty,I would like to say that that cut away when the body would probably be more comfortable on a woman's body. That's probably why it's made that way.
And better than Fujiyama disco... Hachigatsu no yoru~ This guitar is in my wish list, I wish she had a signature Jazzmaster since that is what she plays live all the time :O
I could've lived without the fake F hole, but liked everything else. Never heard of Silent Siren but I'll have to check 'em out; always liked Babymetal and Yousei Teikoku, but my fave is Band Maid.
This is an awesome telecaster! Great looks - amazing tone. Very happy with this one!

Dear Lord he pronounced Matt Heafy's name correctly! that's a like from me
Never would I have ever expected to see Silent Siren covered on this channel lmao
That guitar is beautiful. A keeper for sure
The girls also are!
This band is so cool! The guitar is too of course and the video is amazing as always!
I actually bought one in HK, mostly because of your video.
It is really a gorgeous guitar!
There's an Evangeleon Tele out in Japan at the moment that looks INSANE. Not just for the anime nerds.
Thomas Harman14 where’d you find the numbers for how many will be shipped outside of japan? Thanks!
This white guitar looks great as you play it, it really pops.
Great demo.
Speaking of Japanese Telecasters, I really like the Haruna signature Tele.
Good lord that's beyond stunning.
I remember seeing all the promotions for this guitar and never thought much of it, but seeing on here makes it really cool for some reason lol
what a beautiful guitar , i would love to own a guitar like this . i must admit i never heard of this artist until this video.
That shawbucker sounds sweet, and the guitar suites your playing style.
That bridge position sounded amazing
I'm thinking of a potential buyer , John5 he loves his telecaster guitars. I'm sure he would like to add this to his collection.
Knowing him, he probably already got his hands on one of those.
@@Dad................. Yes ! Exactly what I was thinking !
He actually has an all white Tele …..with his pickup and switching config....with red accents and I believe a black pickguard (I could be wrong about that part)…..full white neck and fingerboard....that he calls the "Ghost".
If you look at the Silent Siren guitarist's playing style, the comfort cut actually makes sense as she does play rather low.
Beautiful guitar and it sounds great too. The neck single coil, especially. Very nice.
"I imported one illegally"...you're the best Trogly.Definitely the coolest Tele I've seen in quite awhile.
I appreciate that timeline in the beginning.
Fender recently announcer Asuka from Evangelion signature guitar, you should do a review of that when it comes out.
I thought you were joking, but I see it's real. Hahaha, and it's actually a really cool guitar! I want Trolgy to document it too!
Expected in October now
@@Trog That is awesome!!! Thanks for letting us know. I really look forward to this, hahaha
OH MY GOD thank you for sharing this news! I had no idea
i used to have my sg loaded like this a couple years ago, but sg wiring. loved it, i was sick of playing in a band doing only a loud bridge pickup. bleeding that neck single coil was such a nice vibe
looked like it too w the junior pickguard
"I noticed there's a theme of lots of octave chords driving the songs."
*Confrontational Billy Corgan noises*
I just want to say you have the perfect intro. Nice catchy riff, not a second too long. Its fun to edit longer intros and tv sure did get us used to those but that doesnt work well here on youtube and i always find myself skipping other peoples intros.
Ab.so.lute.ly love that you covered this. Silent Siren is great and we appreciate that you did some research on them too 🤗 well done, sir. I’m not over the hills on Sumire’s Sig Tele (Haruna from Scandal’s is far superior) but it’s nice coverage nonetheless. I might pick one of these up if I don’t get an Asuka tele
her skull one is sick
Thanks for making awesome videos that always make me happy, i love guitars
Very nice Trogly! Great info and beautiful Tele, with fa k e 'f' hole pinstripe outline! I too would've liked to have seen the pinstripe carried around he guitar. Or better yet, have the striping carry all the way up the sides of the neck and meet at the headstock....hmmmm, just a thought. 😉 Great video Trog, thank you! Pam💜
Well the pups match the finish - bright! lol
Nice looking guitar but the fake F hole looks kind of silly IMO what's the purpose in drawing a fake F hole? If they would have shaded it in to make it look more real I would get it but just doing an outline seems like a wast of time and material, they should have spent that on finishing the outline around the entire body lol.
It's a japanese guitar for a japanese musician, it kinda defeats "what's the purpose" question. Haven't you seen ESP/Edwards signature guitars for domestic market? There's some crazy stuff. It's not meant to appeal you since it's not meant to even been sold to you
Paul Gilbert did the same with his PGM Ibanez
You looked like you really enjoyed playing this one! Out of all the guitars you've played on the channel, you've sounded most at home with this one.
Trogly fell in love with the tele, and I fell in love with that bands drummer
That is a stunner of a tele...weird or no, she's a classy little number. I've just listened to a couple of Silent Siren's songs...Alvin and the Chipmunks comes to mind!
Awesome playing for this vid!! Sounds like you’re getting really good!!
to fenders suprise, girls play guitar
what, really?🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Thank you for bringing us guitars that some of us would never see....
Beautiful Guitar .Thank you for the great review . Have a nice day Trogly
You have demonstrated the most expensive to the most cheapest ..This Tele is something special about it
I really dig the middle position sound on this one!
The Fender Haruna Ono Telecaster is quite a classy looking guitar.
Hey Trogly you should check the new Neon Genesis Evangelion telecaster. It’s also a Japanese exclusive , and it’s set to launch on July of this year because of the new movie. It would be amazing if you could feature it on the channel.
They've been moved back to October now
I was going to suggest it lol
That one’s gonna be a headache trying to get. Evangelion fans are the type to buy those out instantly lol. That being said it would be really cool to see it on here!
The Trogly's Guitar Show Love the Channel, keep the good work!!!
Man...i want one
Hey Austin yay I Finally got to see it it's beautiful it reminds me of Matt heafys Les Paul I surprise u got that over here lol and in my opinion I think fender should make a special line where they make all right guitars like this telecaster well that's all see ya next video.
Cool guitar! Humble request for upcoming review: 2020 Epiphone Firebird!
Bro that humbucker sound is just like 🤤🤤
I see silent sirent tele.. I come in 👌
Btw the bass player really insane 😂
Wow this is soooo pretty!!!
That's nice. And the middle is sounding really good. 🤟😎
You do the best reviews my man thank you! I love this guitar and want one so bad, that humbucker gives it a nice little slight growl but the cleans are still so nice
I dig the bright white. The neck pu sounds nice and smooth.
I really dig that middle pickup sound.
My favourite Japanese musician guitar is esp from guitarist named hizaki all covered with roses.
That chord progression at the end was kinda cool
I'm totally digging whole white guitars!
I really don’t understand why people critique signature guitars as if they were not made for a specific artist
That's a beauty of Tele..!!!
The great white Leslie of guitars!
I think the cutaway is made more to follow the female form. Yes/No?
And better than Fujiyama disco... Hachigatsu no yoru~ This guitar is in my wish list, I wish she had a signature Jazzmaster since that is what she plays live all the time :O
Sick lookin!
I could've lived without the fake F hole, but liked everything else. Never heard of Silent Siren but I'll have to check 'em out; always liked Babymetal and Yousei Teikoku, but my fave is Band Maid.
