I say Russia since its a good mix between pvp and pve plus the loot progression is pretty balance. Also theres the missions you can do. The map is large enough to be able to hide base fairly well.
I like Greece and Cyprus since they’re something new to Unturned. They have new weapons, and I haven’t completely explored them yet, so it seems like me in 2.0 exploring PEI when I played it. This is why Greece/Cyprus is my favorite map.
Cyprus is a island near greece and also a greek speaking country that is half taken over by the turks because of its rare metal and location on the map, it is a good refuelling station for the turks if they ever need refuelling, it is being protected by the british right in the midle of the island called the dead zone, the dead zone was made by the british goverment to stop the turks from passing over to the other part of cyprus, the english own cyprus after they bought it from the greeks.
I forgot about Canada, but holy shit Canada was the best map. I wish that Nelson could bring it back. Even though it exists as a workshop map we need it to be official/officially curated (not limited time).

If your looking for ranger spawns in pei. On the mainland police stations and the radio tower are the places to look. As for the islands don’t search O’learys prison but rather Holmans isle.

In this time, Elver is definitelly the best there is. It has a lot of lore, story, unique aspects that are not in any other maps, totally unique guns, an actual lengthy progression system, horde beacon only location. Large unique deadzone with the keycard system, dorm keys you can find, the fact you cannot just get the best weapons by raiding a military camp, a new sentry, a safezone which you go to by unusual means where you can sell useless stuff and much more. Compared to other maps it just has so much more to offer, and that is not even counting quality of life and logical changes like barbed wire and attachments not having durability, weapons not breaking so easily, cars not being broken so easily etc. The only con I would say is that its not that clear as to what you are supposed to do and how you find certain unique crafting materials like graphics cards etc, meaning that you have to look some things up, I think there should be subtle notes about these in the stores, for example a reference that graphics cards spawn in the deadzone in the game store shop and perhaps a deadzone map so the first journey there is not so confusing and notes regarding keycard location that are not solely in the deadzone as when you go there, you should already have all the keycards. In Elver everything feels new which is really refreshing but it could use more hinting. Besides Elver, I would say Russia is probably the second best

Unfortunately Nelson fixed temperature weather stuff so it kinda got nerfed in a sense...however the map forces you to use items carefully and you'll need to know some skill and high tier weapons are scarce so civilian weapons and makeshift weapons will be used most of the time Personal reasons: It was the first map I played on and I used to run a server on Yukon. It brings a lot of memories and I liked the editions of the Deadzones that makes it even more complex
you know i think the best one is yukon because unturned is a survivle game it came as a survivle game but now it turned to be a role play game that is right i mean their is more rp servers than pvp servers and more than pve servers and it became a rp game because in the begining when it was a survivel game people where so much aggressive i mean what is the chance that everyone in seattle will say hi to you it is like a 10% so people made rp servers because people became tierd of being killed over and over so rigth now people started to join rp servers and also their is so much think we can add to the game like speares fire tourches and not the one you place a one you can carry and feel worm and more.

TBH there's a lot of quality contrast between the maps that neson made and the curated ones except Russia Russia it's own beast (not saying they're bad I do like Hawaii but thier not as good as when Nelson works on it) instead of leaving the curators to thier own I think he should work with the like he did with Russia

I like Germany. There is lots of places to go. Even if people are running around killing everyone, there is good loot everywhere to you at least have a chance to fight back. If you know the map is definitely gets easier, even though it is harder than the other maps. For example, the aerospace complex and military base have spitters and all those other zombies even on easy. PvP people going on easy still have to deal with them. Serves them right.
In unturned 2.0 of course PEI was the first map but if you look at 3.0 technically devtest was the first map now known as alpha valley and after that devtest 2 and some other small maps when unturned 3 was still in the preview branch the first kind of official survival map ever on 3.0 was canada but after a while was scraped since nelson had a poll to either A) keep working on canada and update it every friday until its complete, or B) do a remake on 2.0's PEI map and B won after that its yukon and all of the other maps that you mention in the video
My favorite map is the one from 1.0 But related to the video: Germany (Before & After, Russia very close second) Hawaii and Germany I feel are very underrated. Germany's mountains I can understand turn some people off, but I don't see what could be wrong with Hawaii. Maybe someone could shed some light for me? Currently the only thing I can think would be reasons would be a lack of military loot (it seems to me that Hawaii does seem to spawn less of it) or maybe performance issues due to the caves, but that would seem to affect more than just Hawaii.

Alpha Valley was originally named Devtest, it was later removed for Canada and recycled as an arena map.
