Traps can also be used on horde beacons too take out the mega and the normal zombies. I recommend using the spikes or the barbed wire on the mega instead of shooting it because shooting attracts players and it takes a lot of bullets to kill the mega.
yeah but u know when you rush a horde you usually dont have a suppressed gun so i will prbably use a chainsaw or another melee weapon and spikes to kill everything. but your idea was great i will try it next time. =D

+Taspats TheErnestas 1 wire is essentially 1.5 scrap therefore, it'd only take 17 scrap for each fence...if you've really played true survival, get a vehicle, out crates all over it and make a good quarry run, if your on Germany or Russia, and you can make at least 5 fences in 1 run easy...then repeat. It's worth the time

And there is one problem!! When group is chasing you and you blow up / kill somehow one guy others will know how you do it and they will look at the ground.
I was on a Freezzer PEI sandbox server with my friend and we were in the prison island. I was up on the top floor of the prison and when people broke into our doubledoor (pretty often), I would have 2 charges against the wall. When they come in and walk forward, I would detonate it and they would instantly die. It was more effective than a trap damage-wise, but I actually had to be watching for it to work, unlike a claymore/landmine or other trap.

You should see my in town bases on creative servers, i drop fences, snares, landmines, i put pine spikes with barbed wire around it, Sentries, etc
