This was a great interview! One life folks...you can try and fail, but keep trying. Other people will hate that you're trying and try to keep you in the same place as they are...don't let that happen. Just keep pushing. You may not become an internationally known person or you may become known in your community, but you won't know if you don't put any action(s) to it. One life, no reset buttons, no extra lives...just this brief moment in time to be the best version of you you can be. Let's hear something and keep getting better each day little by little, brick by brick.
preach bro
@@kaidez10 I appreciate you boss! Keep thriving and striving to better than you were yesterday 💯💯
his pricing is interesting, 75 for an exclusive license feels like a steal would've loved knowing more on that
I wish I had asked him about that. If he sold 1000 of those in a year, then that’s 75k, slightly more than what he reports as his yearly income
Crazy!! I watched and or heard the finished product on about half. For whatever that's worth from a purple and black circle on TH-cam.
$250 for a beat like that, that’s awesome. There’s hope afterall.
None of us rappers will purchase a 250$ beat
These vids always help motivation ty 🙏🙏
Thanks for watching
Much love pain

Would love to touch on these subjects with you too. We are also producers that took the leap of faith and now do the music full-time been watching your contact for years big inspiration, bro💯
mehn i been waiting for this next episiode
Thank you for watching
What do y’all charge for custom work?
Hey Pain, hope this message finds you. I’m kind of new to producing but it’s kind of comin naturally to me cuz I always wanted to be a producer l.
So quick question: when you post (free) “” type beat on TH-cam videos is that mostly for marketing strategy to get your beat out there for someone searching? You charge them if they hit you up wanting the beat exclusively right? With exclusives, does that beat belong only to that one artist to use? So one exclusive per beat? Sorry for the noob questions
Click my link and you’ll see
Where can I find undressed vol 2 I had it a long time ago had a lot of verses for it?
I just searched and couldn't find it online-- I'll have to reupload it
Lowfi you tube channels are also good for streaming revenue.
Yeah if that’s the kind of music you love making and you can do it well, absolutely
dj pain admitted 2 bein a simp lmaoo but fr women think selling beats is easy money they jealous seeing us get paypal notifications its like magic u get a dopamine hit every time but we work 10 times harder & we give up normal social life we only have time to talk to artists
i wasted so much time on girls i was still selling beats everyday i thought it was cool but women expect a lot from us & i think i should stop telling women that im a producer bcuz they think its easy but i work my ass off for this shit people treat us like the money falls out the sky they dont understand im making business deals with artists all day
You’re chasin the wrong women. Or you’re like 17.
It was a bait and switch but still my fault
@@fentanyljones6956bruh im tryna give advice when u start making the money u want & if ur girl works a 9/5 & u at the crib all day on a computer anyone would be envious or even worse if ur girl has no job because when u sell beats consistently everyday people take advantage of u they see the money is going straight to ur bank account instantly sometimes in ur sleep so its not just women its family friends everyone and how many full time producers or rappers have u met face 2 face in real life so u gotta understand that making music for a living does not seem like a job to most normal people they think its all fun but we work super hard
@TherealistMajorRight 😂
Hi, do you charge for customer changes?
For a custom beat? No, I usually give a few free revisions
Ok. Thanks for the response.
i cant watch full video I have a lot of hair on my head and it's bothering me. I'm going to the barber shop now 😋
Gemma loves the doritoes
You could talk about more relevant things, like how to socially engineer an online persona, or assess the values and perceptions of the demographic that actually buys these "beats". Are these "beat buyers" just kids with summer jobs that want to be "stars" ? Are they kids that want background music for tik-toc videos? Are they pseudo washed up old rappers that are trying to relive the high points of their youth? Are they Lawyers and Doctors that rap on the weekends as a hobby? Are they sound designers that would rather pay for some "beat" , rather than develop the sound design themselves? There is a rich psychology exploring why people do that they do, and without being honest about these things you're not educating your audience. Instead, you are parasiting off their ignorance and kinda just treating them as marks. The guys being interviewed doesn't seem like a successful person that actually knows much of anything except how to self-promote himself to an unsophisticated audience. I think he's lying and makes his money through other means and is faking it to make it.
Link me to this video when you make it
You're successful "selling beats", shouldn't you know the details of your customer base? @@DJPain1
@@williamturner6876 you said that I didn’t. I never said that 😉
I have listened to podcast on Spotify with Matthew May he actually explained his business model pretty much in a more detailed way like what you’re saying here. What this guy told really doesn’t teach anything… working and putting it as a priority isn’t so insightful tip
I am currently a rapper looking for beats, if anyone wants to collab, lmk ❤
My beats are all buy 1 get 5 free until the end of the day on www.djpain1beats.com
Music is Oversaturated in general
at least put the guests name somewhere bro.
Hollister doesn’t make beats
his name mack 11 beats they say it in the video like 10 times bruh
And he’s tagged in the description but yeah, my fault for not saying his name
just introduce your guests. its just proper. I looked at the description and was looking for text not tags. this is TH-cam not Instagram.
Mack 11 !
@@johnviera3884shut up
@@johnviera3884 you: ‘put the guests name somewhere bro.’
Me: ‘I did. It’s there in the description.’
You: ‘that’s not what I mean dummy’ 😂
