Needed this! Great interview. Love learning some of your backstory. Feels like we have lived parallel lives except I'm a few steps behind on the Christian Rap side.
My favorite beats from PAIN are his "Rick Ross Type Beats." They are the Most ELEGANT, SOPHISTICATED, SMOOTH, DISTINGUISHED, GRACEFUL, STYLISH, DIGNIFIED, and SENSUAL sounding beats...as if a FULL-PIECE ORCHESTRA created it. 💯💯💯💯
He’s from Madison? That’s dope. I was just there. I moved to Eau Claire a couple months ago. Pain is the goat of the online game. I remember hearing his song with jeezy in 09 and having it on repeat!
pain is good. I do think the camera setup was awkward tho, it really needs a table you can both lean on and different camera angles and the lighting is too 'clinical' and cold.
this was a good interview. but bro asked questions like it was an interrogation instead of it feeling like a conversation, hopefully in his subsequent interviews he will improve
The interviewer asks questions like a pre-programmed robot - I mean DJ Pain1 said some interesting things that could have been expanded via follow-up questions - but the guy just went straight to the next written question... I call this a dry/raw interview! A lot of life-orientated gems (beyond music) could have been extracted from the richly experienced DJ PAIN1...

make some bay area beats and house beats too dubstep, memphis beats diversify
I make what I like. If I’m not in the bay, it would feel like culture vulturism to just make their style for the sake of money 🤷🏽
That thumbnail 😂

Rick Ross, Dj Khalid and T pain and record companies got sued for copyright infringement and plagiarism it was a huge lawsuit. The plaintiffs won that

I think he was sticking to his list of questions
Didnt bother me much, its the difference between a 2 hour video or a 30 minute video
