This has been an idea WG has been told over and over to no avail. I think it would be great. I cringe everytime I see a bb fire a full broadside from a perfectly level and still platform. However, realism has nothing to do with this game. Just look at the Russian navy.

These U-Boat men were real heroes. Especially the german ones. Hitler sent them in a senseless war to fight and they had no choice but to do so! 3 of 4 of them never turned back, the highest rate of losses of all Combat Units!

I quit playing WoW a year ago because they kept teasing submarines but wouldn't add them, now I check back and they are still teasing them as though they are actually going to add them to the game, I'm not picking up WoW again unless they do so at this rate I guess I'd better just uninstall it.

[Alpha Tester ~ WoW] Only after WG hemorrhaged huge loss of players did they relent and reversed their original artistic decision, "There will be no submarines in World of Warships." Pre-Testing in the forums dialogs ensued with no reply from devs. Only after alpha testers were brought on did we learn subs were not being developed. We (alpha testers) warned WG the decision would eventually impact the franchise, and as other titles emerged, players started leaving. Instead of bringing seasoned testers back to development, many were not. I've watched this development from a far, and sadly, not impressed by the solution they've adopted. Nothing more than token effort, and severely misrepresented in performance, capability, and characteristics. Sad state of affairs for what WG is capable of.
Any plans to implement torpedo ammo cap before bringing Subs into random matches ? That would be an effective mitigation of the surplus of torpedoes that would occur without any changes on how torps can be used.
I enjoy the historical videos about submarines but I hope they won't come to the game it will just be a reprise of the CV rework it's beyond WGs ability to implement them.
LaBineBoy2 oh I know WG will implement them, it's just like the CV rework someone at WG is convinced it's a good idea so it's going to happen, I just have my doubts at WGs ability not to screw it up
@@gonotgone1 i cant speak for the CVs, but as someone whos participated in all of the Sub tests i think theyre doing a good job so far. its definitely not "easy mode" playing with subs especially when only a small handfull of depth charges can kill you almost immediately considering you have the lowest health pool of any other unit in the game, and most of the ships have DCs available to them. I personally cant wait for them to come, and from what ive seen and played so far I have to agree with LaBineBoy2, I think WG is taking their time to get it right before they add them
Did you seriously not notice the huge old fashioned theater in the video with seats and a big ass screen? It's a theme to match World War II, not a literal premiere.
@@KnodsilMemeMaker hope they do not nerf them to keep the 'i cannot use W-A-S-D' crowd happy. Subs had their limitations in the last trial and it forced Destroyers to actually do something useful. I spent most of my time as a Sub hunting other subs

@@RedtailFox1 tbf, the critism from the first sub live test where kinda justified though. The fact that a battleship litteraly couldnt damage a submarine that was 6,1m underwater was pretty stupid. But they have given us a solution for that and seem to be taking the other feedback into consideration as well. So hopefully the next round will be a lot better.

Also, while I bailed a lot of my friends stayed...and they tell me they STILL use that math stuff during drills. On subs you always have a back-up plan, because crap can go VERY wrong very quickly.

My grandfather spent 4 years in the North Atlantic escorting convoys, I have nothing but hatred for subs.
These subs aren't actual subs engaging in actual unrestricted submarine warfare. These are little pixel ships in an arcade game.

Was wanting to see something on the I-400s. Still a good video, just wanted something more.
A submarine that can put up spotter planes perhaps? 1 plane at a time perhaps though the I-400 class could carry 3 float plane bombers.

The codes don't give you the containers, they unlock combat missions that allow you to get the containers plus some coal.

Submarines will be a good thing to add. They will teach people to communicate with the team in order to survive and take them out
Put submarines into random battles -> lose 80% of your paying playerbase. Have fun
