- The corruption trial against 22 people accused of defrauding eThekwini
municipality of millions of rands began in the Durban High Court.
Former executive mayor Zandile Gumede has been pin-pointed as leader
in a pattern of organised crime.
On the first day of trial, the state outlined their case.

No matter the outcome of this case , I’m glad there are people in our country who are atleast trying to alleviate corruption . One case at a time , they can bribe their way out it’s fine but this still sparks a brain out there and plants a seed for the next generation to carry on fighting corruption and politicians who don’t want to eradicate poverty in this county . I’d understand if this was the apartheid government taking tax payers money like this but it’s our very own people that we are supposed to look up to & respect as oMama bethu 💔💔💔.
