- Not a police stop again 😅 what is this here in Nepal and all the checkpoints?! Anyway, off to Kathmandu on the worst highway ever. Lots of rain turns it into a mud fest and also charging her up in Pokhara didn’t go as planned. I don’t think I can make it today but the view at end is making up for all the hassle 🏔️🙌🏼

The enfield wasn't in problem because it was rented. It was in problem because of modified exhaust.

Unfortunately a lot of East of Nepal seems to have never been in highlight. You should try exploring some. Including Pathivara Temple in Taplejung. It will give you a clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga.

Being a Nepali "Bad Roads or no Roads at all" is a daily thing, and one can't do anything about it being a normal citizen. The gov doesn't cares about anything at all, to corrupt. Our country is like Heaven, but Roads are like Highways to hell.
And the reason behind so many police officers and checkpoints is to prevent accidents and crime because Nepalese really like to drive around, without proper documents and knowledge of Road safety.

The last time I rode with that many other bikers was 1983, I went to the Devils Weald rally, at Brighton race course. We had a thousand bike run along the sea front then up the weald to the Devils Weald hotel. It was a fantastic sight and brilliant to be a part of it 😎

That Hyundai experience was like deja vu seeming like I clicked on an old video, but then I saw this time you had to go to the Kia building.
I once took my scooter from Kathmandu to Pokhara, don't know how I could even think of attempting that lol this road is a fucking NIGHTMARE. Even car rides are almost unbearably difficult.
When is that footage of pokhara where you are finding the first charger point?

All I could think of as you rode through the highway was: "mosh pit". Wow! It was bad enough that the condition of the road was like that, but then to have to maneuver through the dense traffic at the same time!! I hope you got your shoe cleaned up!

I went to Pokhara from Kathmandu a few days ago the journey was really tiring due to the landslide and few accidents I arrived in Pokhara at 11/12 midnight also returned at nearly same time I wasn't even able to celebrate my birthday😭

@@MarcTravels Wir leben in Kakani (15 km von Kathmandu). Die Strasse zu uns heisst "Trishuli Highway" und ist total zerstört
I noticed EVE was quite dirty from the roads under construction. Can the mud cause issues with the electric motor getting hot if it becomes compacted? Good to tune in again Marc after a break for awhile.

Roads conditions are so bad in Nepal, probably the worst in the whole universe
When travelling abroad, ask local residents\s first whether so ans so "highway 25 from Kathmandu to Biratnagar is a good road (or wherever) or not, as of today. Where there recent land slides? When was the road last built 2 years ago? 5 years ago? Did the roads contractor cheat? Don't just take that road from Google MAPS without asking locals. Locals respond to you: "I am glad you asked. That so called highway had a land slide after a rain storm 2 weeks ago. We take that other road which is in good condition. Regardless of whether it is a third world road or elsewhere, always ask first. Even shopkeepers and bike mechanics will tell you the truth. Any country. They may also say, "That so called highway you mentioned has not been rebuilt in 10 years. We locals take this other road."
