Built to be a smaller version of the classic 1911, Kimber's Micro 9 Pistols are a great choice for the shooter with smaller hands. Chambered in 9mm, this handgun delivers extra power, which makes it perfect for concealed carry and home defense. Slides are built to the tightest tolerances and the barrels are machined stainless steel. 1911-style frame is made of the finest aluminum and accompanied by a 1911-style thumb safety, slide and magazine release. Single-action trigger offers a smooth, short pull. Flared ejection port and beveled magazine well. Steel sights are mounted in machined dovetails.

Thanks for the video, I love my Micro 9, put the M*CARBO spring kit in , an easy install, took trigger to a very nice about 3 1/2 lb pull. can do well inside 3" at 10 yards consistently. couple hundred rounds and no problems.

nice shooting. great video. we have one of the 2 tones exactly like that one. I love to shoot it. 9 in the waistband is better than a 357mag in the glovebox.

The Kimber Micro-9 is a great mini-1911 gun and shoots well, when it wants to, I must have a lemon, hang-ups in every magazine, magazine drops out often, mis-fires every magazine… thought it was the 115 gr 9mm ammo, nope, 124 and 147 gr produces same results as mentioned… some shooters have describes similar comments and have sent their guns for repair to Kimber with no change, Wtf! Now, I saw a shooter who said, switching the magazine to the Sig Sauer P938 magazine resolved the issues I mentioned … so I ordered 3 P938 magazines from Midway USA and hoping that my issues will be resolved..
BEST GUN EVER. My wife bought it for CC and the same day had the M-Carbo upgrades installed along with the GP recoil spring kit and of course her custom purple grips. She installed it all herself and took it to her first-ever range day the following weekend. She never shot a gun before and got all shots in the 5@10yards. The first few rounds were out of the 5 as she learned grip technic for the first time. She shot 5 guns that day all ranging from full size to med to compact and subcompact all 9mm and even her second backup choice for practice on a budget her ppk/s 22LR. I then asked her being 5/6" and 105lbs if she wanted to purchase a different gun or would she still have bought the micro 9 if she shot it before she bought it. She answered without a pause NO. SHE LOVES this beast. She finally gave me a turn and I have to say it's my best grouping ever with anything smaller than a full-size. WOW. I am sure her M-Carbo parts had something to do with it. #Mcarbo Thank you for this video. Our reply is years later but the results were just the same.

Great video. I bought one for myself and liked it enough to Gift the money to my son and daughter-in-law so each could get one too.
This is now my primary carry gun in summer. My winter gun has quite a few posers positioning for the honor, but I’m leaning towards my Kimber Master Carry Pro.

... hate to rain on your parade, but a more accurate comparison would have been with a Sig p938, the p938 has all that plus ambidextrous thumb safeties, many come with night sights and has that ability to have the thumb safety on as you can rack the slide - the p938 came out before the Micro 9 did ...

I have a Micro 9 and a Shield. Took them both to the range, and tested them against each other. The Shield performed better consistently. It was also less snappy, and field strips easier and faster. In every area, the Shield outperformed the Micro 9.

I have the Kimber Nightfall and love it! It’s a great size and weight for a CCW. A little bit too big for inside the pocket but perfect for in the waistband at 4 o’clock.
I picked up the Springfield HellCat a few months ago and love the carry ability of this gun ( I do also carry the Bodyguard .380 on occasion). Proud to say I am picking up my Micro 9 to add to my deep conceal collection! Can't wait 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Just bought the Kimber Micro 9. I also have the bodyguard and the shield. The micro 9 feels better weighs less, and is great looking. It came with the crimson laser sight. Love it!

Just bought one with the crimson laser sights today. Can't wait to take it to the range. Have a 1911 Kimber two tone .45 and it's been nothing but flawless on the range for the last 2 years.

You're correct about the size. Looking to upgrade my current LCP Custom into a 9 for suitable pocket carry and more firepower. Have ruled the LC9, slightly too large. Already own a Shield and PPS which are fine for IWB, but not pocket. Looks like its down to this one or the P938. The right size. Thanks for the review.
Wound up with Kahr CM9. Not comfy with the 911 models and thr safety for pocket carry. To each their own.

I have been looking at some of the 380's - specifically the Ruger because of price point. But this is a pretty little gun, and I think I'd rather use a 9mm to match ammo with my full-size XD than choose a different caliber.

Lot people that buy, pistols, at sporting stores, basically, don't know how to hold them right, when shooting a pistol, ask the sale person, they said aim and pull the trigger, even at gun show, the right way to hold automatic, hold the pistol tight, the trigger finger , off the trigger, until firing the pistol, the second hand, over lap , hand holding the pistol, extended arm, barce forward with left foot, line front sight to rear sight, aim at targeted with the front sight, basically, you looking at the front sight, not the targeted, put trigger finger on the trigger, squeeze the trigger, do not pull, now you can hit a dime at 15 feet, and that how to shoot Kimber micro 9mm or any other pistol, like hi- point 9mm, if someone said they can't hit with it, because they are not holding the pistol right, and trigger finger trigger control.

Thank you for the video I really enjoyed it. I Just bought my first Kimber, a DC micro 380. It was a used gun. From what I can see it looks like there was very little shooting from this gun. Looks and feels great in my hand. The gun shop only had one box of 380 ammo which I shot a couple of days ago. Gun shoots great, at 5 yards it was very accurate, or as accurately as this old man, me, can shoot. It also looks great, other than a little scratch where the previous owner must of used a screw driver to disassemble it looks like new. I was able to order some 380 ammo on line, shipped to dealer. Oh well gotta play this game. I am impressed by how small the 9mm is. Hmm could that be my next one?

Some models have ambidextrous safety. Both the Raptor and Rapide have ambidextrous safety options.

Junior Elizondo Right, but the Kimber looks more true 1911 in the grip, and the Kimber slide is rounded on top like a 1911, where the P938, the slide is more square on top. Both are sweet though.

Any failure to feed issues? Mine new Kimber Micro 9 gets a FTF about once in 3 mags. The bullet nose dives into the feed ramp.
I had no problems with mine. It works perfect.

If you have a proper grip the recoil isn’t bad at all.

i dont get why people buy a small framed gun then add an e x t e n d e d magazine.
defeats the purpose!... try getting the pistol, with an extended mag out of your pocket.
Ever consider that after you pull out a concealed weapon and fire the first mag that you then RELOAD with a larger mag? DUH.
I have this exact version of the Micro 9 it was on sale for 499, it came with the 7 rd extended mag and I bought a factory 6 rd. I had different problems within the first 250 rounds. Failure to feed and multiple live rounds just randomly popped out during firing and landed in front of me. I put another 150 round in it and was 100% so 400 total rounds now. I think it was just a break in, the only problems throughout was with the 7 rd it would pop out during firing constantly and of course not chamber since it popped out. I thought it was me accidentally hitting the mag release but I adjusted my grip and it still would pop out but not the 6 rd. Iam not sure why it’s doing it, have you experience that problem with the 7 rd?

This is the only 1911 I like. All of the other ones are overated.
